Excellent point Voddie!!! We are not saved by our own strength, or by works or by anything which we can boast about. We are saved through Jesus Christ, a free gift,by his great mercy and grace, so that no one can boast. Amen!!!!
It’s not wrong my friend. If we could earn salvation by works, than there would be no reason for Jesus to die on the cross, because we could earn it ourselves. This is heresy. We can’t earn it, we need Christs sacrifice which in fact means that we are saved by grace through faith, and not works. The works is the evidence that we our saved. Christ does not make mistakes, those he saves are his and noting can snatch them out of his hand. A person who has true salvation will experience transformation and we will know them by their fruit. This is the gospel my friend. It’s the good news, and way, way better than a works based gospel. If it were works based, we are all doomed.
Again, following Gods law is the evidence that you are saved, it’s not what does the saving. The Pharisees thought they could follow all the laws too, and be saved by their own self righteousness and Christ rebuked them for it. He called them vipers, white washed tombs and hypocrites. This is why the Pharisees hated Christ. We cannot follow all the laws or avoid sin. It’s impossible and it why we needed Christs sacrifice. Christ’s sacrifice does the saving. If you are truly saved, you would forgive others. If you won’t forgive others than your probably not saved. This statement by Christ is not talking about someone who doesn’t forgive one person one time, it’s talking about a lifestyle. Frankly it’s a poor example to argue for a works based salvation. Romans 9:30-32 explains this clearly. “What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; 31 but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. 32 Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.” Plain as day my friend. The Jews tried to attain salvation by works and they stumbled, the Gentiles attained salvation by faith and were accepted.
2 Peter 3:17-18 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. You can fall from your own steadfast. 1 Timothy 1:19 having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, Your faith can shipwreck 1 Timothy 6:20-21 O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge- by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen. By professing false knowledge you can depart from the faith 1 Timothy 5:11-15 But refuse the younger widows; for when they have begun to grow wanton against Christ, they desire to marry, having condemnation because they have cast off their first faith. And besides they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not. Therefore I desire that the younger widows marry, bear children, manage the house, give no opportunity to the adversary to speak reproachfully. For some have already turned aside after Satan. Like these widows you can cast off your faith and turn aside after Satan. 1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, You can depart from the faith, in fact, in latter times some will depart from the faith. In none of these does it say the faith they had was false or not in Jesus. Pluse there is one faith so we can't assume there faith wasn't the one faith in scripture. And by doing so we might be in danger of professing false knowledge. If we continue to do so we too can depart from the faith. Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

I think a better question is not whether you can lose your salvation but rather do you actually have it in the first place? Scripture tells us to examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith! 2 Corinthians 13:5

@@brohuggie2978no it's powerful enought but people can turn away. I give example I was saved ,and I asked God Could I be in the music industry, but he showed if I went that way I would go to hell. Because that wasn't the will for my life. See we have to do the father will for our life that's what's this all about and part of that will is to be saved by Jesus Christ. For Christ said many shall say unto me that lord lord have we not done this and that. And he gone say depart from me I never knew u . Jesus said whoever does the will of my father will enter into heaven. You cant just live your life and then decide one day lord I wanna follow u it don't work that way. When God call u ,you gotta go right then and there or it'll be too late. Many people think they can have as much time to live their life then turn to God it don't work that way
@@kirk4c Look the scriptures are very easy to understand, one just needs to read them in context and BELIEVE them. God's will is for us to just believe in Him that is all, He takes care of the rest. our salvation will never be hindered or deleted by us NO WAY! If you love music then go for it, enjoy life, do your best in helping and caring for others as you can. will we fail? all the time, but that has nothing to do with God's will, our will did not even save us, because our will had nothing to do with our salvation. John 1:13 - John 6:40 Now read it and believe it.
I turned my life to Christ today, and from today forward, I will hold myself accountable every time I get that desire to sin, I will be the vessel that God yearns for me to become, Amen.
Be very careful because that sounds like you are about to put yourself in bondage friend! I don't think God is looking for vessels that pay more attention to their sins rather then what Jesus did at the cross, for our sins by shedding His blood for the forgiveness of ALL our sins.
Then start be losing every false sense of a mortal life separate and apart from God... This is the basis of True Christianity not of religious belief!! In proportion to our abandonment of God are we taken care of by God. Therefore, we must surrender to the Will of God(Inner Christ) if we truly Desire to Discern the Movements of God within, as God conducts his Will in ways that oppose human will and understanding!!!
@@stevenwalter5741 Good luck with that friend no one has been able to do that. lol. Read scripture in context than you’ll be able to understand what Jesus is talking about and who He is saying it to.
One thing I know. From what I experienced when I was living a life from sin and going through hard times, I began to know what it meant to be a true follower of Jesus. Someone who finally understood me. Someone who was always there for me. My whole life was changed. All I know is that when you experience something like that, why would you even want to throw it away?
If you lose it then you never had it. Many get saved and dont know why they got saved. Now they probably will fall away bc they didn't understand it when they got saved. They lost their salvation but only because they didn't understand it and never really got saved. Being saved brings desire, desire for God and not yourself.
Only when he was near dying did the apostle Paul feel that his salvation was assured. In 2 Timothy4:7 he says "I have fought the fine fight. I have run the race to the finish." In verse 8 he says: "From this time on, there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness." Paul said earlier in his life as he stated in Philippians 3:13 and 14 that he thought that he hadn't yet taken hold of his reward. He needed to "press on toward the goal of the prize of the upward call of God by means of Christ Jesus."
No... I'd clarify that it wasnt about assurance, it was about the HOPE of Salvation through continuing to believe. Our Faith is in the perfect blood of Jesus who saves all who place their trust in Him and His blood to save from the wrath to come... and in the BLOOD is perfect assurance ❤
@@Mu2mA my dear brother, the bible tells us, not only that we can KNOW we have eternal life, but the bible says in 1 Peter 1:23, we, having “been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God which liveth and abideth for ever”. Salvation is incorruptible. Even if we do something corrupt, the seed cannot be corrupted. Not by us ourselves, or anyone else. My dear brother or sister, Jesus DID NOT become sin for us… BY sinning. And like so, we do not become or remain righteous, by being righteous. It is imputed. If we could lose our salvation, it would mean it is a matter of what we do and don’t do. It would make salvation a matter of dependence actions and deeds. And the Bible says, salvation is a free gift. It costs you nothing. It’s free. It’s given to you simply by believing the gospel and once attained cannot be lost. For the bible says, you are SEALED until the day of redemption. Irreversibly. For by one man’s deeds, sin entered into the world. Permanently. And by another man’s deeds, sin was cleansed, PERMANENTLY. The bible says if we sin, (which we will), we have an advocate with the father.
@@Mu2mAmy dear brother, tell me, who was Jesus? Was he just a man? Or was he god. If he was god, then he would be able to know not only the past, not only the present, but also the future. @@ifeanyichukwu3644 If I may ask what truth are we talking about? The truth of the law (10 commdts). The truth that is mentioned here is that despite knowing the law people kept sinning and expected to cover it up with an inferior sacrifice (animals). If we read to entirety of Hebrews 10 we will see that Paul is talking of animal sacrifices and comparing it to Christ's sacrifice which says that 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Skip down to verse 14 where he talks of Christ: 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. And if we see verse 28 after the topic verse (10:26), we see that Paul was referring to Moses' law. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Now verse 29 states that we should be in much more punishment than a breaker of Moses' law should we sin after receiving Christs sacrifice. It states that we deserve much worse punishment but what punishment can be worse than hell? There is none. It is never stated that we will be punished. However this will incur severe judgment and wrath from God. Verse 29 states that: "The Lord shall judge his people." If you lose your salvation are you a member of God's people anymore? Let me know your thoughts on what I have written.
@@ifeanyichukwu3644 no, the verse dont talk about salvation : God's own words, found in the Old Testament Scriptures, declare His intention to replace the old covenant with a new covenant. Jesus fulfills all of these prophecies, and all of the symbolism found in the system of priests, the tabernacle, and animal sacrifices. Knowing that Jesus Christ is, undoubtedly, God's remedy for our sin, we should be encouraged in holding on to our faith in the face of persecution. However, that same confidence means dire spiritual consequences for those who know Christ's salvation, but choose to act in defiance of His will..
Work out your salvation with fear, and trembling. Ask yourself, look into the mirror, take inventory, and then you stand before God. The excuses, problems, and woe of me, is out the door. Praise Jesus Lord God and Savior AMEN.
“Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.” Romans 11:22
Very sad to see someone not continuing in God’s kindness. I think a lot of this has to do with judging others instead of being kind towards them as God was towards you (when you were dead in your trespasses). If we look at the context I think this makes the most sense. We should always see a person in the state that we were once in, showing mercy always & not judgement, because we never know when God’s kindness will lead them to repentance. Heaven forbid you prevent them from coming to repentance by NOT showing His kindness to them. We are a living testimony of God’s kindness, provided we remain in His kindness, taking on this very nature of God, being kind to the good & evil, the just & the unjust. God shows no partiality. He consigned us all to sin that He might have mercy on us all.

So don’t tell me what I say is sad, I just quoted the word of God. The real sad thing is when somebody says you can live the way you want with absolutely no consequences because you have eternal security and you cannot lose your salvation. That is really sad because you are misleading people to believe they could continue to live in sin, and give them selves to the flesh, and that they will still be OK.

He who overcomes is he who believes not he who is perfect in flesh because none are and none will be…stop being self righteous when u wrong god even without knowing it
You're totally goofed up on this interpretation. He who overcomes is the person who believes on Jesus for salvation by faith alone, 1 John 5:4-5 defines what overcoming the world means. If you overcome you will NOT be blotted out meaning you'll never be removed. Those who fall away were never saved to begin with like 1 John 2:19 states. Losing your salvation is impossible because eternal life never ends otherwise it wouldn't be eternal + God is not a liar (Titus 1:2). Also, there isn't a single verse stating that someone is actively being written into the lamb's book of life. There are only verses saying that people get removed or blotted out. Everyone begins in the lamb's book of life by default because God is willing that everyone gets saved but if you die in your sins without Christ you are removed from the book of life at that point. But if you believe in Jesus for salvation you've overcome the world and at that point God promises that he will never blot you out. It's that simple. If you believe that you can lose your salvation you're denying the record that God gave of his Son in 1 John 5:10-11 and that record is that God has given to us ETERNAL LIFE and that this life is in his Son. You are calling God a liar when you deny that he gives those who believe everlasting life. Also, you're calling Jesus a failure who did not fulfill the will of God the Father, because in John 6:39 Jesus says that it's the Father's will that he should LOSE NOTHING. If Jesus loses even a single person who was saved then he's a failure who did not keep God's will. And my God is neither a failure, nor a liar, and will perform that which he has promised unto us.

I wonder what the prodigal son story was communicating? A son that was in the father’s house, left the father’s house, found himself eating with pigs, came back home and father was waiting for him.
And who are you to claim that son wasn’t saved the entire time? Did he still being his fathers son because for a short while he was lost and confused? Amen! I needed to hear this. I was raised by a mother who played church piano, so we were there every time the doors opened. The church preached figma rather than the daving grace of Jesus, yet I still heard alot of the word. As I got older and had the choice, I stopped going to church. I went to a healing service at 21 to mock or rather stand up for what I thought was the truth (as I believed it was a show being put on and not real at all). Jesus had mercy on me that day, and I got healed and saved, and the next night baptized with the Holy Spirit. For a long while I preached, went to Bible college and stood firm. Yet I saw alot of hypocracy inside the church walls, and after this going on and on, I said to God, if this is what your kids are about, I dont want to be around them. To make a long story short, I fell away from the "family of God" and became distant from the Lord. Through many hardships I realized that this digma of "measuring up" or not, ruined my view of Christ. I now understand that noone or nothing can tear us out of the hands of our Savior. His blood is beyond powerful and his grace and mercy endures forever! That love, grace and mercy is now what makes me want to be obedient, because he first loved me! Sorry this was so long.
It’s not measuring up. It’s continuing to cleave to Christ. Trusting God. Not going back to the world etc. if you think you have to measure up or went around judging others you still had the nature of Satan and didn’t see God as a father and fellow Christian’s and brothers and sisters but thought highly of yourself. Pride causes us to fall away from God. Many Christian’s are full of self/pride meaning they are not in Christ. And in serious danger bc God is against the proud.
@raphaelfeneje486 wow felt the love in that. Salvation is a gift. It's not a once saved always saved. That not even a scripture. The reason I asked about Judas is that he is a prime example of that heresy you think is truth. Judas sat at the feet of Jesus. He was saved under Him until Satan entered his heart. Judas turned away from God after being savd. If we were always saved, Jesus wouldn't have needed to do what He did on the cross. And would have preached the gospel in hell. Jesus wouldn't say take up my cross daily and subject yourself unto Him (Luke 9:23) if we are "once saved always saved." If you believe I warn you now that you play a dangerous game. You have been warned. May God bless you, and next time, don't be so harsh. Jesus came in grace and truth. The Holy Spirit convicts, He does not condemn, so you need to check the spirit in which you speak. Because I am a man of God before you.
You can. It's all over the Bible. Read it! The Bible it filled with warnings for believers, with righteousness for believers. How can you read the word without coming to the conclusion that God hates sin, including in us and by ignoring thoughs warnings were putting ourselves in jeopardy. Why eltce would the holy spirit convict us?

Salvation is not yours to keep, salvation belongs to Jesus. The Lord keeps us saved, when we get saved our names are written in the book of life, Jesus said that all who come to me I will in no wise cast out. There is no sin or demon or devil or angel or person that can take away what the Lord has done for us.

I think the whole point was to do our best and KINDLY Correct each other while we teach each other THROUGH The Word IN THE HOLY SPIRIT. Period. 🤷♀️
I’ve gone back & forth through many different thoughts on all of these matters. At the end of the day I became exhausted with all the different theories so as Jesus commands “come to me all you who are weary & heavy laden & I will give you rest” I did & I think this is the true heart of the gospel. To continue to come to Jesus always & He will give you rest always. Or just come to Jesus & stay with Him. Remain in Him. Remain in His rest. The trouble is we are always being tempted to drift away & start working again. We become weary & we go back to Him for rest. The goal for the Christian is to stop drifting away. Stop doubting His love. Stop doubting His promise. Stop doubting His grace. Rest in Him. When Jesus is Lord we are no longer lord & we can rest. It’s heaven on earth. No other way than to truly make Jesus Lord. I’m not calling it “lordship salvation” but making Jesus your real Lord in all things IS the best possible scenario for us on this earth. You will have peace like you’ve never felt before. Once your life is no longer your own, but His to do as He pleases. I just can’t emphasize enough how blissful this is. When Jesus is Lord your life is in the absolute best hands. Many of us are afraid to give Jesus Lordship because we think Jesus is going to put us in difficult circumstances that we can’t handle. But I can assure you that when your absolute trust is in Him you will NEVER be put to shame. His name is on the line, not ours. Being crucified with Christ is freedom. As long as our old man stays alive we are slaves to the desires of the flesh. We must allow our loving savior to crucify us so we can then reign with Him. We must choose, heaven or earth. Heaven is much better in my opinion. There is no condemnation to anyone who is in Christ, but you may feel condemned if you continue in the flesh, and God would like to spare you that condemnation & the constant battle of assurance of salvation. There is a reason we have these internal struggles when we become entangled in sin. We know we are drifting away & that we must return, but sometimes we drift away far longer & further than we should & this is playing a dangerous game. Yes, God will always receive us just as He instructed us to always receive our brothers & sisters when they sin against us & REPENT. 7 times in a day is a lot. Have we ever repented genuinely 7 times in a day? This again shows the heart of God. How He wants to forgive us always & how he wants us to repent always. To remain in a constant state of unrepentance is the greatest discomfort. There are 2 main things we repent of. 1 is trusting in our works for salvation. The other is thinking there is more pleasure in pleasing our flesh than in pleasing God. What pleases God most? Us finding rest in Jesus Christ. Faith in Christ. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Running to the world for comfort & pleasure or running to religious works for assurance are the 2 deadly sins. Lust & Pride. We are always being tempted as long as we are in the flesh with these 2 things, but those who rest in Christ will overcome. If we sin we have an advocate. If our hearts condemn us God is greater than our hearts. The key, rest & repent quickly each time you drift away from His rest. It seems silly to think anyone would ever want to leave the rest that is in Christ, but that is how deceptive the flesh & religion are. They go hand in hand. The strength of sin is the law. The law awakens the flesh & the flesh sins. In Christ our flesh stays crucified. He’s made this wonderful provision. Once you find it you won’t want to leave & when you do leave you will be very anxious to get back to Him. God wants a deep intimate relationship with us. He wants to be our absolute provision. Our Savior to the uttermost. This is why He gave us this gospel. So that WE can never break fellowship with Him since our fellowship is no longer broken by sin, but guaranteed by the blood of Christ. The only way to break fellowship is to stop trusting in His blood. Let us keep trusting, keep resting, keep fellowship & God will keep us, sanctify us, & transform us into His image, Jesus Christ.
The only people I’ve ever known that say once saved always saved, are the ones that want the assurance of salvation without any responsibility to try to live righteously. In the end times many will fall away from the faith. Explain that one.
People have fallen from the faith ever since they started to put their trust in themselves to keep themselves saved, by their own works, and denied what Jesus did at the cross by shedding His blood for us. It is a shame how people stopped looking to the cross anymore, and just think they can do it themselves and do not need the assurance of the work of the cross! very sad
living righteously does not get you eternal life. If it was up to you to get eternal life than Christ died in vain. Galatians 2 16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
@@GiftofGrace88I agree, we cannot work our way to heaven. Our greatest efforts are "filthy rags" to God. But at the same time, faith without works is dead. Jesus made it Chrystal clear that if we love Him we will obey Him. “Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven"
Our eternal souls are dependent on believing in the right person to save us from our sins. Galatians 1:8 ”But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.“ Matthew 25:41 ”Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:“ This is the Gospel by which we are saved and sealed by the Holy Spirit to the day of our redemption (the rapture): I Corinthians 15:1-4 “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, BY WHICH ALSO YOU ARE SAVED, if you hold fast (staunch stand or firmly establish, deeply held belief) that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain (not believing in the resurrection of Jesus, see verses 15-17 of 1 Corinthians 15). Ephesians 1:13 “In Him (Jesus) you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION (read 1 Corinthians 15:1-4); in whom also, having BELIEVED, you were SEALED with the Holy Spirit of promise” Ephesians 4:30 “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were SEALED for the day of redemption.” Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by GRACE you have been saved through faith, and that NOT of YOURSELVES; it is the GIFT of God, NOT OF WORKS, lest anyone should boast.” Romans 11:6 “And if by GRACE, then it is no longer of WORKS; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.” Galatians 2:21 ”I do not set aside the GRACE of God; for if righteousness comes through the LAW, then Christ DIED IN VAIN.” Isaiah 64:6 ”But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.“ Hebrews 10:10 ”By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.“ Romans 3:20 “Therefore by the DEEDS of the law NO FLESH will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Romans 8:1-2 ”There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 3:27-28 “Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith APART from the DEEDS of the law.” John 10:28-30 “And I give them ETERNAL life, and they shall NEVER perish; neither shall ANYONE snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and NO ONE is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.” Titus 3:5-7 “He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of ETERNAL life.” John 8:35-36 “And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the SON makes you free, you shall be FREE INDEED.”
I think the big stumbling block is that people believe we're forgiven temporally. What they don't understand is God poured out ALL His wrath for ALL our sins when Jesus was on the cross. That is why "there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus". We're only now realizing our sin, God dealt with it all at the cross.
He, God holds onto us!!! 🙏 we were Sealed with the Holy Spirit. Key words in that is WERE SEALED. Who big enough to unseal us??? Nothing and Noone can separate us from the love of God through Chist Jesus. ❤
The sovereignty of God includes God being the rule and not the exception. If God decides to destroy the unrighteous and the righteous together He can do it and none can lay a charge to Him. If a person says: God can’t or won’t do that, then they don’t understand what sovereignty actually means. God can save and destroy that which he saved.
But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice and does the same abominations that the wicked person does, shall he live? None of the righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered; for the treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has committed, for them he shall die. “Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not just? Is it not your ways that are not just? When a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice, he shall die for it; for the injustice that he has done he shall die. Ezekiel 18:24-26
Your reading from the old testament, the old covenant. Jesus came and died on the cross for our sins, because he knew we couldn't be righteous. No not one of us.

Hebrew 10:26 is about animal sacrifices, not salvation, u have to read it in context. Its about people who sacrifice animal for their sins instead of putting their faith in Jesus for the remission of sins.

@northmemphis48 the reason why Jesus said the righteous will scarcely be saved isn’t because of how “righteous” they were, but because had Jesus not shed his blood for their sin they wouldn’t be saved at all. They were made righteous because of Jesus, not because of “how good they were”. The unrighteous deny him and are therefore not declared righteous. It’s not a works based statement, but Jesus declaring who he is in that we are made righteous by him and him alone, meaning we are scarcely saved by him alone. This is not a license to sin, the Bible clearly talks about having fruit and living for the Lord, but we are justified by our faith, not our works, hence Ephesians 2:8-9. Blessings brother

I just say this with love to my calvinist brothers. I don't agree on this topic with you. If you clearly read and study The Bible, there will be a great falling away. Those who turn away from the faith was initially saved if they don't Repent and come back to God they will not enter The Kingdom of Heaven. People please not only read your Bible but also study it. Have a blessed day.
I believe this is true as well. I think he’s preaching more about losing salvation due to sin, not falling away from the faith. I believe if you deny Christ and walk away you will lose your salvation.
Hebrews 10:26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins. And this was written to Christians. It’s hard to be saved if there’s not a sacrifice for your sins.
Jesus died on the cross so that we can be forgiven for our sins, so that we can repent and enjoy a relationship with God now and later. Jesus is coming back.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This is blasphemy!!. And false teaching. Your salvation can be lost as fast as your got it. Your saying that once a person is saved they are perfect and how can someone be perfect in the flesh?. We may have turned away from sin in repentance but we still carry the dark seed of sin within us whilst on this earth. Just as a reformed alcoholic can at any time fall off the bandwagon, I believe that a repentant person can turn away from God and back to sin again therefore back to the original state of sin and iniquity and no longer be safe in salvation. Even if we feel that we are secure and will never turn away from God again, we need only look at Peter in his denial of the Lord Jesus, or the virgins without lamp oil, why else must we fight the warfare every second in order to keep our salvation? Does the Bible not say that satan if possible will deceive even the elect 🤔
We must fight to maintain good works of our faith why? To have fellowship with God and with the church. To experience the love of God in our life. To not give in to the lusts of the flesh. To escape judgement on Judgement Day (not hell). There's more topics being discussed than salvation in the Bible. Salvation cannot be lost. Once we are saved, we are called by God to live a righteous life as part of growing in the faith.
@@shkuyt986I cannot agree in full to what you say... works cannot save us, if we feel we must be saved by works then we have not enough faith in the grace of God, nor in Jesus Christ as Saviour. None will "escape judgement", all will be judged at that day for evil or for good. Salvation can absolutely be lost, we should not be so presumptuous. I agree we must fight, but to maintain a relationship with the Lord and to fight against the evils of this world. @@galelilley9049 I do not believe in a works based salvation. I do not believe works save you. The clear Gospel is in what John 3:16 says. We cannot lose our salvation. I was merely stating WHY we must fight the good fight. If we could lose our salvation then we are basing our salvation off of good works to keep us to salvation. That is relying on our own power to take us to heaven. Not biblical and not possible. Let us not confuse verses speaking of our relationship with God(what do to once I am saved) with what must I do to be saved(sealed unto the day of redemption eph 4:30). Christ has already done the work. Once we are saved we are headed for heaven. I can provide scripture for that. If we could lose salvation we wouldn't be saved but safe (present tense).
We are saved by faith, if you lose your faith you lose your salvation. Salvation is for the faithful Revelation 14:12 "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus

It takes not arrogance, but humility, to read the Bible through with this question in mind. Take it at face value, and obey. Beware of teaching that fosters complacency, such as You can't lose Salvation, or that other chestnut, unknown till the 19th century: You'll be safe in heaven during the Tribulation. God bless you.
I truly beleive what Jesus said. And hes the only one to follow. If we really trust what he said then we know salvation is given by our Lord n God. Still Jesus determines the finality. I believe as we've ("messed up",sinned), In life after we were baptized, professed Jesus "our" savior it's his all to make our place of salvation. I'll say this... its possible some may have went thru the motions but didnt " really" believe, having reserved doubt. I hope they wake to his everlasting promise.
You are sealed unto the day of redemption and no one can snatch you from him once you are born again, aka HIS. People who say you can lose salvation after accepting Christ are always the most self-righetous people you'll meet.
Only those who OBEY Christ, will be saved. HEBREWS 5:9 (King James Bible) "And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;"
You cannot lose your salvation if it is true salvation, you can only walk away from it. Jesus died for our sin, and to say that we do not accept that sacrifice is to lose your salvation. If you accept Jesus's sacrifice not by your own accord and are saved by His blood, you are set free.
Yes you can put yourself in a position to have lost the salvation that God has giving... because we are not perfect and the word speaks about many falling away from God
The point is everyday we put ourself in that position because we all sin…therefore if it were possible there would be no point in being saved in the first place .
A comment I wrote to someone online recently He was asking about the doctrine of OSAS - Once Saved Always Saved / Free Grace Theology I speak to you in parables A man embraced “Free Grace Theology” and “Once Saved Always Saved” in his youth, and was taught it was impossible to lose his Salvation At first he was filled with gratitude, but quickly returned to his sins and old lifestyle, knowing he could now have his cake 🎂 and eat it too. He did enjoy sin after all. He ignored God, and stopped going to church Eventually, he became worse than when he was a non-believer This man’s Christian friends told him to repent, and turn towards God, but he replied “OSAS am I right!?!?” And stayed in his sins He began to pervert the Gospel by sinning greatly, racking up countless amounts of mortal sins He began to live like the devil, and pursued the depths of evil “OSAS!” Was his battle cry The man was warned greatly, but stuck to his doctrine and beliefs When the man died, he expected to awake in Heaven, “Good and faithful servant” was what he expected to hear. Maybe he would be stripped of some eternal rewards, but not a big deal. Incredibly, the man instead found himself in the desert 🏜️, where it was very hot 🥵 over 100 degrees There was a rusty table next to him attached to his body with squeaky wheels. The back of his body was covered with maggots that were feasting on his body. 1 mile away there was a small table with a dice 🎲 block, and he knew he had to trek across the hot sand to get there. If he rolled a 6, he would get out of his situation, but any other roll would put him back to where he started The man began to yell “once saved always saved! Once saved always saved!!!” , he couldn’t believe that after trusting in Christ alone, he was sentenced to hellfire! The man was angry 😠 and upset 😡 . How is the Word of God not working?!?!? He looked into the sky ⛅️ and in the clouds it said “You’re not in Hell You’re in Church Discipline” Galatians 6:7 - The LORD is not mocked, what a man soweth he shall also reap The main point of the story is that God will not be mocked in the end, and won’t be tricked by “the doctrine of justification”, and that we should fear the LORD, regardless of what theology we have. The point is that God really does hate sin, and that sin really is a big deal and is worthy of punishment. Not only does OSAS make no sense biblically, but it’s unrighteous, as it forces God to justify those who live like the Devil and resist God, and to justify those who abuse the Grace given to them. God will not let a grudge holder into Heaven (Matthew 18:35), let alone a true child of the Devil. It should be this way, certainly! Praise God that OSAS isn’t true. He who justifies the wicked is an abomination to the LORD (Proverbs 17:15). Free Grace Theology makes the enemy of sin a soft rival, something that we should probably avoid, but not something we should fight to the death. It makes it seem like our Salvation isn’t on the line, because we have access to an unlimited line of credit and endless buckets of atonement blood 🩸. It’s like sin is not a big deal, because it can’t possibly hurt us that much, that the penalty of our sin is “pinned to the cross”. This is an immature understanding of sin, to say the least “Free Grace Theology” is a super new doctrinal belief that states that a person does NOT need to turn from evil, keep the commandments of God, be a Friend of God, or even have Love for God to be welcomed into the House of God! One must only “believe” in God, meaning one must trust in Christ and what he did for us on the cross to be saved, and that there is no mandatory attitudes or feelings towards God that are necessary after that. When you stack OSAS on top of that, it only makes it worse, and a recipe for disaster for some of our weaker brothers and sisters For some, admittedly, it works for them greatly and they run hard after God! They use the “should” part of Free Grace, and the eternal rewards as valid motivation to avoid evil, as well as to avoid the natural consequences of sin in this life. For those (many) brothers, I usually just say nothing and smile. I recently have been calling “Free Grace Theology” the “left-wing” of Orthodox Christianity. If it works it works, pun intended. While it’s not technically true, it has brought many people to God as a “starter theology”. As you grow in the LORD though, you will realize that there is so much more to God than his forgiveness and mercy. Just remember, at the end of the day, it’s not the Gospel that saves us… It’s God.
Paul said there's no division in the body of Christ. If you believed in Jesus then you are a part of the body. Jesus can't lose any part of his body. If this were possible then the would be no body. You are eternally secure in Jesus! Praise God!
@@olalekanaleem456 Then you're still under the law of Moses. You consider that the sacrifice of Jesus not good enough to have cleansed you and make you righteous in the eyes of God. Basically what you are saying is that you don't believe that Jesus cleansed you once and for all and you need to put in your own effort to be saved and enter eternal life. Paul said if you're under the law of Moses you must follow all the law. He also said that those who follow the law will never be able to do everything it says and we fall short of God's glory. This is why Jesus died for us to fulfill the law and offer us his grace. Think about these things for a moment.

Who are we to boast the capacity to lose salvation? God's children! He gave us the feature, that free will, that image of Him. What none is taking into account is what salvation is, and even the wicked will be resurrected!
I don't think this is consistent with Scripture anywhere. Salvation is a path not an event. Salvation is begun, continued, and finalized. We must persevere. I'm still working out how this can happen, as there seems to be a middle path between legalism and free grace that is neither. When I understand it, I will put it online.
As much as I agree with Voddie, this is one topic that I do not agree with him on. Jesus clearly warned and taught that someone can backslide from away Him. If we cant loose our salvation, then that takes away the power of free will. We have a choice to deny ourselves and follow Jesus Christ, or to not follow him. Someone can be baptized....follow Jesus through God's word and then decide to stop one day. Thus denouncing their faith and belief and loosing their once held salvation. Why? Because our salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. Non enter into heaven and meet the father except through him.
Michael Brown...talking about " you can break the seal of the Holy SPIRIT and jump out of GOD'S HANDS "... these people are self righteous to believe that their conduct is "keeping them saved".. NO..ITS GOD WHO seeks, saves and keeps...to HIM be the GLORY!!!
Let me ask a question that all of our human minds can understand: As an adult human, can we take 1 shower-a single 1-and stay clean forever? --pay attention to the message he's sending you, please!
Why then do Jesus Christ says that we are clean because of the word He has spoken to us?(John 15:3) If God Himself through Jesus Christ has made us clean (in the heart by faith), which dirt to we still have before God?(Acts 15:1-11)"God who knows the hearts has PURIFIED US BY FAITH) Who can bring charges against God's elect?(Romans8:28-37) God Himself has forgiven their sins for His own sake (Isaiah 43:25; Romans4:6-8)
You saying that the blood of Christ was insufficient? That it was no more effective than the blood of animals in cleansing us? Pay attention to what you are inferring.
Voddie got this wrong. You can't lose your salvation. When you lose something, you don't know how it happened. You can most definitely forfeit it, meaning you went back to a life of continuous unrepentant sin, with no desire to change. Those who deny1] that salvation can ever be lost, reason on the subject in a fallacious way. They tell us,that no virgin’s lamp can go out; (Matt.25:8-12) no promising harvest be choked with thorns;(Mark 4:3-9) no branch in Christ can ever be cut off from unfruitfulness; (John 15:5-6) no pardon can be forfeited(1Cor.9:27) (Isaiah 63:8-10)(Matt.18:21-35); and no name blotted out of God's book (Rev. 3-5). They maintain that no salt can lose its savor (Luke14:34-35); nobody can ever receive the grace of God in vain (1 Cor.15:1-2)(2 Cor.6:1-2); bury his talents (Matt.25:14-30) 'neglect such great salvation'(Heb.2:3-4)Using grace as a license to sin'(Jude 4); Jesus stresses total commitment: “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62). Nobody can ‘grieve the Spirit’ till He is ‘quenched,(Eph.4:30)(1 Thess 5:19); and strives no more,(Heb.12:14) nor ‘deny the Lord that bought them’; nor ‘bring upon themselves swift destruction.’2 Peter2:1-4). No believers that once knew God but did not retain God in their knowledge by going back to a life of continuous unrepentant sin somehow think God wouldn't give them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Romans 1:21-32). They reason that how you live is irrelevant to salvation since Jesus did it all there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie (Revelation 21:27) That even the natural branches were cut off for disobedience (Romans 11:21-22 No believers, can ever get so lukewarm that Jesus will spew them out of His mouth. (Rev 3:15-19). We aren't yet saved Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now our salvation nearer than when we first believed Romans 11:21-22 For if God did not spare the branches he put there in the first place, he won’t spare you either. 22 Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is very hard on those who disobey, but very good to you if you continue to love and trust him But if you don’t, you too will be cut off. Hebrews 3:6-19 But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, (IF) indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.,7So as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, (IF) you hear his voice, 8do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness, 9where your ancestors tested and tried me, though for forty years they saw what I did. 10That is why I was angry with that generation; I said, ‘Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.’ 11So I declared on oath in my anger, [‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ”] 👉12 See to it brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.👈 13But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. 14We have come to share in Christ, (IF] indeed we hold our original conviction firmly TO THE VERY END. 15As has just been said: “Today, (IF) you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.” 16. Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? 17 And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did God swear that THEY WOULD NEVER ENTER HIS REST (IF) NOT TO THOSE WHO DISOBEYED? 19 So we see that THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO ENTER, BECAUSE OF THEIR UNBELIEF. [Note:disobedience is the equivalent to unbelief] Hebrews 4:1-11 1Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. 2For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed. a 3Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, “So I declare on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ” And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world. 4For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.” 5And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.” 6Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience, 7God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” 8For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. 9There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. 11Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.
Excellent point Voddie!!! We are not saved by our own strength, or by works or by anything which we can boast about. We are saved through Jesus Christ, a free gift,by his great mercy and grace, so that no one can boast. Amen!!!!
Amen!
Wrong.
@@theothersideofthestory1594 Matthew 6:14-15.
“What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;
31 but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal.
32 Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.”
Plain as day my friend. The Jews tried to attain salvation by works and they stumbled, the Gentiles attained salvation by faith and were accepted.
There's only 1 way to lose it. Deny Christ and His Gospel. If you're truly born again...that won't happen.

Therefore I desire that the younger widows marry, bear children, manage the house, give no opportunity to the adversary to speak reproachfully. For some have already turned aside after Satan.
Like these widows you can cast off your faith and turn aside after Satan.
1 Timothy 4:1
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
You can depart from the faith, in fact, in latter times some will depart from the faith. In none of these does it say the faith they had was false or not in Jesus. Pluse there is one faith so we can't assume there faith wasn't the one faith in scripture. And by doing so we might be in danger of professing false knowledge. If we continue to do so we too can depart from the faith.

Look the scriptures are very easy to understand, one just needs to read them in context and BELIEVE them.
God's will is for us to just believe in Him
that is all, He takes care of the rest.
our salvation will never be hindered or deleted by us NO WAY!
If you love music then go for it, enjoy life, do your best in helping and caring for others as you can. will we fail? all the time, but that has nothing to do with God's will,
our will did not even save us, because our will had nothing to do with our salvation.
John 1:13 - John 6:40
Now read it and believe it.
I turned my life to Christ today, and from today forward, I will hold myself accountable every time I get that desire to sin, I will be the vessel that God yearns for me to become, Amen.
Kingdom Business!!

Not to many will enter the narrow gate. Trust in the finished work of Christ. There is still time for you. Turn to Christ and be healed😔
Requires more than that
by the grace of God, I am what I am. Glory to Him, not me, for not losing it.
Bless you for understanding that this OSAS doctrine is a heresy leading many souls into hell by virtue of ignorance.

4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Skip down to verse 14 where he talks of Christ:
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Now verse 29 states that we should be in much more punishment than a breaker of Moses' law should we sin after receiving Christs sacrifice.

What must a man do to be saved ? John ch3 vs 16
The whole book of Hebrews is a word of exhortation to Jewish believers to stay faithful despite persecution...... You can't loose it but you can walk away from it....

Galatians 2
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Ephesians 1:13

Romans 8:1-2
”There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.“
John 5:24
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has EVERLASTING life, and shall NOT come into JUDGEMENT, but has passed from death into life.
Romans 3:27-28
“Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith APART from the DEEDS of the law.”
John 10:28-30
“And I give them ETERNAL life, and they shall NEVER perish; neither shall ANYONE snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and NO ONE is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”
Titus 3:5-7
“He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of ETERNAL life.”
John 8:35-36

I think the big stumbling block is that people believe we're forgiven temporally. What they don't understand is God poured out ALL His wrath for ALL our sins when Jesus was on the cross. That is why "there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus". We're only now realizing our sin, God dealt with it all at the cross.

A comment I wrote to someone online recently
He was asking about the doctrine of OSAS - Once Saved Always Saved / Free Grace Theology
I speak to you in parables
A man embraced “Free Grace Theology” and “Once Saved Always Saved” in his youth, and was taught it was impossible to lose his Salvation
At first he was filled with gratitude, but quickly returned to his sins and old lifestyle, knowing he could now have his cake 🎂 and eat it too. He did enjoy sin after all.
He ignored God, and stopped going to church
Eventually, he became worse than when he was a non-believer
This man’s Christian friends told him to repent, and turn towards God, but he replied “OSAS am I right!?!?” And stayed in his sins
He began to pervert the Gospel by sinning greatly, racking up countless amounts of mortal sins
He began to live like the devil, and pursued the depths of evil
“OSAS!” Was his battle cry
The man was warned greatly, but stuck to his doctrine and beliefs
When the man died, he expected to awake in Heaven, “Good and faithful servant” was what he expected to hear. Maybe he would be stripped of some eternal rewards, but not a big deal.
Incredibly, the man instead found himself in the desert 🏜️, where it was very hot 🥵 over 100 degrees
There was a rusty table next to him attached to his body with squeaky wheels. The back of his body was covered with maggots that were feasting on his body.
1 mile away there was a small table with a dice 🎲 block, and he knew he had to trek across the hot sand to get there. If he rolled a 6, he would get out of his situation, but any other roll would put him back to where he started
The man began to yell “once saved always saved! Once saved always saved!!!” , he couldn’t believe that after trusting in Christ alone, he was sentenced to hellfire! The man was angry 😠 and upset 😡 . How is the Word of God not working?!?!?
He looked into the sky ⛅️ and in the clouds it said
“You’re not in Hell
You’re in Church Discipline”
Galatians 6:7 - The LORD is not mocked, what a man soweth he shall also reap
The main point of the story is that God will not be mocked in the end, and won’t be tricked by “the doctrine of justification”, and that we should fear the LORD, regardless of what theology we have.
This is an immature understanding of sin, to say the least
“Free Grace Theology” is a super new doctrinal belief that states that a person does NOT need to turn from evil, keep the commandments of God, be a Friend of God, or even have Love for God to be welcomed into the House of God! One must only “believe” in God, meaning one must trust in Christ and what he did for us on the cross to be saved, and that there is no mandatory attitudes or feelings towards God that are necessary after that. When you stack OSAS on top of that, it only makes it worse, and a recipe for disaster for some of our weaker brothers and sisters
For some, admittedly, it works for them greatly and they run hard after God!
Yeah. You can.
Paul said there's no division in the body of Christ. If you believed in Jesus then you are a part of the body. Jesus can't lose any part of his body. If this were possible then the would be no body. You are eternally secure in Jesus! Praise God!
Hmmm this doctrine is dangerous, you can mess up your salvation we live day by day by God's Grace. emphasis is Day by Day
Lose a part of the body? you're taking it literally
@@olalekanaleem456 When you believe (put your faith/trust) in Jesus you become part of the body, meaning a part of Jesus.
Did you not receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?
@@Tupapito7140 how did you conclude that I don't believe "the sacrifice of Jesus not good enough to have cleansed you"?
Saved forever. Salvation in the OT and NT refers to far more than being saved by grace. Grasp that the problem goes away. But most won’t.
Could u explain some more ..
John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
That won't happen after the Son of God sets you free from the sins you once were lost in before you came to Him by God drawing you.
Needed to hear it.
Who are we to boast the capacity to lose salvation? God's children! He gave us the feature, that free will, that image of Him. What none is taking into account is what salvation is, and even the wicked will be resurrected!
Some how the Holy Spirit leaves like a scared dove said no scripture ever.
You who still believe in losing salvation just think about "atonement". *IT IS ALL PAID*
Amen to that!
Please read Ephesians 2:8-9 in context and also look into John 15
Read last chapter revelation 22
Michael Brown...talking about " you can break the seal of the Holy SPIRIT and jump out of GOD'S HANDS "... these people are self righteous to believe that their conduct is "keeping them saved".. NO..ITS GOD WHO seeks, saves and keeps...to HIM be the GLORY!!!
No one can snatch you out of God’s hands but you can definitely walk away from the faith.
So do we have free will, or are we slaves with no choice but forced to serve God and be in his presence for those called to his presence?
Full sermon?
Let me ask a question that all of our human minds can understand: As an adult human, can we take 1 shower-a single 1-and stay clean forever?
--pay attention to the message he's sending you, please!
"You probably just did"...😮🤔🥺🤐❤️
Why then do Jesus Christ says that we are clean because of the word He has spoken to us?(John 15:3)
If God Himself through Jesus Christ has made us clean (in the heart by faith), which dirt to we still have before God?(Acts 15:1-11)"God who knows the hearts has PURIFIED US BY FAITH)
Who can bring charges against God's elect?(Romans8:28-37)
God Himself has forgiven their sins for His own sake (Isaiah 43:25; Romans4:6-8)
You saying that the blood of Christ was insufficient? That it was no more effective than the blood of animals in cleansing us? Pay attention to what you are inferring.
Yes. You can
Voddie got this wrong.
They tell us,that no virgin’s lamp can go out; (Matt.25:8-12)
no promising harvest be choked with thorns;(Mark 4:3-9)
no branch in Christ can ever be cut off from unfruitfulness; (John 15:5-6)
no pardon can be forfeited(1Cor.9:27) (Isaiah 63:8-10)(Matt.18:21-35);
and no name blotted out of God's book (Rev. 3-5). They maintain that no salt can lose its savor (Luke14:34-35);
nobody can ever receive the grace of God in vain (1 Cor.15:1-2)(2 Cor.6:1-2);
bury his talents (Matt.25:14-30)
'neglect such great salvation'(Heb.2:3-4)Using grace as a license to sin'(Jude 4); Jesus stresses total commitment: “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62).
Nobody can ‘grieve the Spirit’ till He is ‘quenched,(Eph.4:30)(1 Thess 5:19);
and strives no more,(Heb.12:14) nor ‘deny the Lord that bought them’; nor ‘bring upon themselves swift destruction.’2 Peter2:1-4).
No believers
that once knew God but did not retain God in their knowledge by going back to a life of continuous unrepentant sin somehow think
God wouldn't give them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
(Romans 1:21-32).
They reason that how you live is irrelevant to salvation since Jesus did it all
there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie
(Revelation 21:27)
That even the natural branches were cut off for disobedience (Romans 11:21-22
No believers, can ever get so lukewarm that Jesus will spew them out of His mouth.
(Rev 3:15-19).
We aren't yet saved
Romans 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now our salvation nearer than when we first believed
Romans 11:21-22
For if God did not spare the branches he put there in the first place, he won’t spare you either.
22 Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is very hard on those who disobey, but very good to you if you continue to love and trust him But if you don’t, you too will be cut off.
Hebrews 3:6-19
But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, (IF) indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.,7So as the Holy Spirit says:
“Today, (IF) you hear his voice,
8do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion,
during the time of testing in the wilderness,
9where your ancestors tested and tried me,
though for forty years they saw what I did.
10That is why I was angry with that generation;
I said, ‘Their hearts are always going astray,
and they have not known my ways.’
11So I declared on oath in my anger,
[‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ”]
👉12 See to it brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living
God.👈 13But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. 14We have come to share in Christ, (IF] indeed we hold our original conviction firmly TO
THE VERY END. 15As has just been said:
“Today, (IF) you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion.”
[Note:disobedience is the equivalent to unbelief]
Hebrews 4:1-11
1Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. 2For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed. a 3Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said,
“So I declare on oath in my anger,
‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ”
And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world. 4For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.” 5And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.”
6Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience, 7God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he
spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted:
“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts.”
8For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. 9There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.
11Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.
EVERY day!!!
I lose sleep almost every day working about not making 8t to heaven
