I would just clarify that you score sets immediately if you have 4 of the same token or 4 totally different tokens (counting wild cards as replacements for symbols if you can). It's possible to have more than 4 Hang Out cards that don't form a scoreable set (for instance if you have two red, one yellow, one green and one purple one.
6:00 is a misteach, you roll the dice when you take the work action, this is separate from the variable shift you roll at the start of the round. It wouldn't make sense to know you're gonna lose money when you go to your job, and would always be avoided when possible.
The manager rule is different. Rule Book says to draw face up the number of managers as there are players, and in counter clockwise order starting to the right of the first player, each person picks one.
