LOL I loved the slowmo in the end, gave me a big smile 😄 what a beautiful piece of kit you have here Michael, I wish you lots of fun with it! BTW I got my new wheelbase now as well. Gonna review it soon - what I can already tell about it is that I couldn't wish for more 😮
@CKSimRacing awesome to hear about the new wheelbase! Yes I think with this new wheel I am set for a good while (I hope!) its so nice to use.... except the QR!
Pretty deep fall into the rabbit hole from (I'm paraphrasing); "the R5 bundle was almost more than I was willing to spend", to "look at my new $1300 steering wheel". Congratulations on that sweet wheel. I own an Ascher too and the quality is implacable. It's almost like sim racing jewellery.
@mementomori4972 haha dont I know it.... The mental gymnastics required have been extreme, but its a good "investment" in my happiness, now I just need to work out how to use it, and maybe get a better QR 😂
@@MichaelSmithRaces I have the Buchfink QR (Q1R) system. It might not look very pretty, or even flimsy in the pictures, but man, when you hold it in hand it's solid and it holds the wheel (I'm not exaggerating) like it's bolted on. There is no movement whatsoever. I can't imagine that anyone would be dissapointed with the Buchfink QR. It's not cheap, but it's worth it. Sim Racing Garage has two videos on it, if you would like to check it out.
@TerminologybyJc its a good point, I got the USB version because I don't have simucube, but also I dont like wireless and battery as I dont feel like it can ever be as good as a nice old fashioned cable!
Can i do more than 1000° degree rotation on vrs i wish i can connect the wheel directly to the wheel base i dont like routing usb cable around my steering wheel
@Team_Reaper. Im sure you could do it, as the cable is very long.... but if you dont like the look of it then I would defo skip it as the cable is particularly chunky on this one! Look at the VRS rim or cube controls f pro, they both allow you to use bluetooth so no wire?? :)

I wonder if/when the battery doesn’t work any longer is it replaceable? Nothing on this so far.
