A sleeper track from the New Gold Dream album, slightly “dubified”. The dubs were made by processing guitar and vocal excerpts from two 1982 bootlegs (Manchester and Glasgow). All sounds by Simple Minds.

They all are! Given that it’s an understated, breezy track, you’d think that a slap bass would be a distraction - possibly an irritant - but DF makes it work. Hats off to that.

Thank you for your comment. I adore Talk Talk. That run from It's My Life to Laughing Stock is amazing. Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock...I can't even express how important they are to me. There are some fantastic official 12" versions of the Colour of Spring tracks. They really set a standard for remixes.

My family were granted this land to protect from Viking invasion being good fighters, my ancestors were very good defenders.
