What a fantastic deal! Finnair are probably one of the best European airlines and their new seat is so innovative and looks comfortable. Glad to see you tried the blueberry juice- it's iconic of Finnair in my opinion. A few things could be improved but for the price you paid this was an incredible experience and I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

Great TR, thanks! I've tried Finnair's new seat on the HEL-CPH position flight, loved it, like a comfy cocoon. Finnair feeds DOH from ARN/CPH/HEL, most of the seats are sold by Qatar. The glassware 3:18 you had was originally designed in 1968, for their new NYC service (DC-8)
Yes, something I didn’t mention in the video is that most of the business class cabin is sold by Qatar and only a small section of seats is available for Finnair passengers. For both flights I was the only person sat in the Finnair section! That glassware was great, I’ve been looking at buying some!

Great presentation Charles. I will be travelling through Doha this September with Qatar and so I will be looking out for your lounge report. I am travelling Economy but with One World Sapphire so I think that my lounge options are somewhat restricted but I do hear that there are pay upgrades available. Are any of these worthwhile in your view. David
With your status you should be able to get in to the platinum and gold lounge which I visited last year. It’s a really great lounge, and about on par with the Al Mourjan lounge, minus a few features and food options, but if you have access to that it’s probably not worth paying for access to the Al Mourjan. You’ll still get a beautiful lounge with great food and drink, nice showers etc
I’ve heard rave reviews about this business product with Finnair, hoping to try it myself one day. As if you’re based in NCL. Might catch you on a BA UK domestic flight one day, either in the Aspire lounge southbound or the Galleries First lounge northbound.

I recently flew Finnair Bangkok to Sydney business class. On settling into my seat I asked the flight attendant where the controls were to recline the seat. She told me you could not recline the seat. I looked at her in stunned disbelief. It was a tortuous 9 hour flight. Frightfully uncomfortable. Toward the end of the flight the flight attendant apologised for the seat. I told her it was shocking. She agreed!
Thats an insane deal, well done. For Finnair redemptions do you have to fly to a FInnair hub somewhere in Europe to connect to a long haul destination, and does that usually mean an overnight stay, or do you just do the whole journey in one go. I should also imagine starting your journey outside the UK also means much lower taxes and surcharges?
Yes they’d typically fly from HEL, but also have flights from CPH and STO. There are good connections from the UK so could potentially fly over same day, but yes that would mean higher taxes if part of the same booking. I actually took a gamble on flying over same day on a separate booking, but I gave myself a long connection time and had no checked bags
@@charlesontravels Ok so the solution is then to take a cheap flight to a Finnair hub and make sure you stay overnight, providing the savings in taxes and surcharges are in excess off the accommodation and connection flight then it works. Unfortunately, I would be going on holiday so defo would be taking checked baggage with me.
I love their Northern Blush cocktail. Last time I flew Finnair business class the crew gave me a few to take home with me (plus one of their fantastic tumblers).
I love this Finnair product,flew it on the A350 to ICN Row 1 on those are just centre so 1st window seat is 2A Love their glassware and the northern Blush The plat lounge in Hel is dead nice,am gold so got in Didn't try the Sauna but am back in july so will then Great reviews,well narrated and you look like you're really enjoying them That lounge seat is the most comfortable and spacious ever zi think
I got confused had to watch again when I saw Thai airways. Because I thought it was Helsinki. Thai don't fly from Helsinki, but Finnair from Copenhagen ? In SAS territory ?
It’s an agreement they have in place with Qatar. Qatar don’t have enough planes to service all routes so Finnair is servicing those gaps in Scandinavia. They also fly from Stockholm to Doha
At least if you can count on security being good you probably don’t need to be at the airport as early and there’s less need for an amazing lounge. I did think the eventyr lounge was pretty good though. Won’t be winning any awards or anything but it was a nice enough space, and although there wasn’t a lot of choice with the food it was nice quality

I’m amazed anyone could find this seat uncomfortable, never mind tortuous! I found it fantastic, just felt like lounging on a sofa with my feet up

I moved to CPH and travel alot, the airport and security is great.but lounges aren't great
