Great Video. Is there a fast way in SD to dial the whole groove behind the beat... or pushing it a hair? Logic's Drummer has this feature and it comes in handy to quickly match the feel... lazy... rushed etc. Thanks!

I have Superior Drummer 3. I just purchased it, so I'm still very "green". I'm assuming I can use both the SDX and EZX expansions? Are there any advantages to getting an expansion vs. a MIDI pack? Thanks and love the channel. :)

I couldnt use non of i play them on my electric kit and then edit its faster more spontaneous and i get to where i want faster but.. i kind of play drums so thats my way if you dont play drums i think there is a function that picks tge closest patern that you do with your mouse ot a midi contoller

Toontrack sells them in packs, although Superior Drummer should come with at least some of them
Kinda hard to see the screen with your head in the way. Sort of unnecessary if you are showing a screen.
the thing that is annoying about SD3 is that it's not like EZ drummer and SD2 that you can't go into the mixer and set it to multitrack after you've created the main instrument track and inserted SD3 , that sucks, that's stupid. the previous versions were way better , I have SD3 won't use it , I just go back to previous versions. cool video Trey,
It wont let me copy and paste. When I click on copy and paste nothing happens. I spent an hour recreating repeated measures it was a nightmare.
Doesn't EzDrummer 2 do this same thing?
Yeah, with the song creator option. Garageband and Logic have similar drummer features.
sus4b9 was messing with the GarageBand drummer the other day and it seems pretty decent, good sounds as well. Bringing over midi files from old ez drummer libraries and it's pretty capable.
Yeah but I don't think superior drummer 2 does. So it looks like with 3 you get the easy to use features from EZ drummer with the extra horse power of superior drummer.
Yep. Logic/Garageband have a different approach to creating drum patterns... they do have midi file playback, but have wrapped it up in a different user interface. For basic users, you wouldn't even know you were using Midi files, it's all "hidden"..Yes i know, a typical Apple move, but the edibility is all based round quick and easy drum pattern creation. But, should you wish to fine edit the patterns, it is a simple step to "baking in" the midi track, which you can then edit to as fine a degree as you wish in the standard midi editor. A clever and versatile system. Great for quick and dirty grooves if you are just knocking together a song quickly. Have only just started with SD3 so have yet to find my preferred way of working with Logic coupled with SD3
