I know leffen is a "god killer" (or is that another smash player) But I honestly don't care about tiers. Especially from someone who only mains "the best" to win. Yea I get it, the characters are the best to ensure victory but the thing is everyone uses either the top characters, or close to top tier. So everyone knows how to counter them. Using a low tier character and being good with them shakes the meta up a bit because no one knows how to counter them. Remember when smash was about just having fun and it was a party game? Now people have taken the game too seriously and consider it a top tier fighter and the fun is gone. :(
Firan25 Tiers don’t matter at all unless playing pretty competitively. You’ll do better and have more fun with a character you really like, even if they’re not “S” tier, than you would with an “S” tier that you don’t like or care about.

An important thing to keep in mind is that tiers are inevitable in any game with multiple characters. What matters is the *distance* between tiers. Some characters will always be a bit better, but the question is, is this normal tier distances, or SFII Akuma tier distances? And honestly, I don't feel like Ultimate has any real Akumas. You look at recent tourneys, and the top 8s had like seven different characters.
To be fair Leffen is a try hard who has a character crisis every time he underperforms and tier picks to change. Or complains about the game and contemplates leaving.

No. That‘s not true. For casual yes, but not for competitive. The reason is: everyone can play their character and if everyone is good it depends on the possibilities of your character.
I mean technically speaking, if we are talking serious competitive play, K. Rool is uh.... yeah not that good. Just because nearly all the top tiers are top tier because of their outrageously broad movement options allowing for it to be near impossible to hit them with real true combos. The issue is if you know what you are doing, K. Rool practically has a massive sign on his belly saying "Combo my shit up fam" his stun time is comical, mind you, if he escapes it and you are a lightweight top tier, oof. But the argument is that they are bad relative to others, not that they are terrible in general. Take falcon for instance. Falcon kick, falcon dive, his actual recovery, his incredible run speed, everything about them just screams combos and speed. You can see stocks get taken by falcon in the first 10 seconds on lightweights, and vs heavy he has the oh so infamous 5th gen falcon punch in glorious 60fps HD glory. Then take another look at K. Rool. Its not that they suck, they are just very inflexible and polarizing. You are either going to DOMINATE with K.rool, or you are gonna be having a date with the blast zone

I mean technically speaking, if we are talking serious competitive play, K. Rool is uh.... yeah not that good. Just because nearly all the top tiers are top tier because of their outrageously broad movement options allowing for it to be near impossible to hit them with real true combos.
The issue is if you know what you are doing, K. Rool practically has a massive sign on his belly saying "Combo my shit up fam" his stun time is comical, mind you, if he escapes it and you are a lightweight top tier, oof.
But the argument is that they are bad relative to others, not that they are terrible in general.
Take falcon for instance.
Falcon kick, falcon dive, his actual recovery, his incredible run speed, everything about them just screams combos and speed.
You can see stocks get taken by falcon in the first 10 seconds on lightweights, and vs heavy he has the oh so infamous 5th gen falcon punch in glorious 60fps HD glory.
Then take another look at K. Rool. Its not that they suck, they are just very inflexible and polarizing.
You are either going to DOMINATE with K.rool, or you are gonna be having a date with the blast zone
