Hello pls advise which one is better between the bose soundbar 600 alone OR Bose speaker with bass bose module 500. I am using these for music only...thanks n best rgds..
I'll see if the 600 soundbar and the bass module 500 goes on sale for Black Friday. They're pretty expensive. I mostly wanted it for gaming and occasionally movies.
Hi! I would try closing and reopening the app as well as the bass module. The bose music app should be able to connect with the 500 bass module on its own.
Bose Website states TV Speaker is connected by wire to Bass Module. I have the same disappointing purchase regret. Looks like I have to upgrade the Soundbar from TV Speaker but it will not fit under the TV (too wide) so additional/new furniture as well.
Is it necessary to connect the bass 500 with soundbar 600 through a 3.5mm stereo cable? What is the difference between hard wire and wireless connectivity?
Hi! I would go with the bass module 500. The 700 surround speakers will expand the soundstage and overall volume BUT the subwoofer really makes you feel the music, scene, movie. The 600 soundbar does a good job already with surround sound or dolby atmos speaker.
I have the soundbar 600 and surround speakers.... it was ok (soundstage) but when I hooked up the module 500 today, damn. The sound dynamics including the soundstage improved alot....the punch of the bass was amaaing. Its well balance, not overwhelming which I prefer. I think I will be using this set-up for a long time until Bose release a new version of soundbar 900.
I just got the 600 SB and I'm impressed how well it sounds alone. I would love to add the sub 500 but is it too much for an apartment? The last thing I want is to irritate my neighbors. Oh yes...what line(wire) is needed to hard wire to the soundbar?
@@MSDOGS1976 u can use the i i think35mm jack to connect to soundbar...the bass of module 500 can be adjusted so u wont have any issues with neighbour.
Thanks for the comparison, but too bad you didn't put the subs on the floor where it's supposed to go and not stand in front of the them. It's difficult to see the difference her on my computer screen because bass is usually felt, not heard.
How do you control the settings of 500 module when it's connected to the TV Speaker ? Is it automatic with the TV Speaker remote or you have to use the Bose app ?
Hi the TV speaker remote will only control bass on the soundbar and not the bass module. You can control the bass module in the music app but the functions are limited. The low end on the bass module 500 was never as deep or powerful when paired with the TV speaker as with the bose 300/600/900 soundbars.
Hi! Yes it is a very good pairing. Only catch is no Dolby atmos but will sound better than most soundbar systems under $800 with interchangeable soundbar and subwoofer. The bass module 500 can be used on your next bose soundbar 5 or 8 years from now.
I am confused old man I had Panasonic 2.1 250 watts for 8 years I felt like it was time for better sound everything going Dolby atmos and I want immersive feeling good sound can't decide between this 600 with 500 module or lg sp9ya or Samsung q600 c
Yes they are but only using a cable. I recommend using the bose subwoofer cable as other cables I tried had some interference. The bass will not be as powerful as with a bose 300 and up soundbars but I think the option to have a sub.
Get the 700 I have them both now. The 500 is good loud punchy. 700 deep bass loud. I’m in an open studio apt you can turn the bass down and still get that deep base.
It's OK but not overly dramatic or rich. Its really meant to be on higher volumes. Once you get the volume to 35- 40%, you can hear the bass starting to really come through
Hi! The 600 and 500 are not the same. The 600 has vertical speakers. Bose can be confusing because the 700 and 900 soundbars are similar but the 500 is more like the 300 than the 600. Hope that helps!
They stand no where against denon AVRX 4700 and Bang & Olufsen and Kef Atmos speakers 9.2.2 which can go high....more ambience beyond imagination..but bucks $ 3000 to 4000
Hi! I have bought refurbished from bose before and when I ordered the bose 900 soundbar, it arrived as a brand new unit and not refurbished. I highly recommend their refurb and if you have someone in the family that's a student, you can get even more off.
The best Bose products reviews in youtube. Looking forward to see a review about the Surround Speakers 300. These rear speakers with the soundbar 300 against the 900 Thanks :)
Its not worth buying a Bose tv speaker together with the Bose 500 bass module. Like he said it will not connect to the bose app so the only bass control is on your bose tv speaker remote. There is virtually no bass when hooking to a Bose tv speaker. I am really disappointed and will be sending my module back. That means i am stuck with my tv speaker stand alone, because Bose does not work with any other sub on the market. HAS TO BE BOSE!!!
There is no control for the bass module except the bass control on your remote which doesnt help at all. I was not impressed i sent my bas module back not worth the money@@maan22245
Hi! I have not tried it but yes you can. Per Bose, your system can connect one or two bass modules. To connect two, both must be the same model and also connected wirelessly
Esa porquería del module 500 no sirve, demasiado dinero por una caja de plástico y una bocina que parece de grabadora de los 90. No agrega nada de bajo, ni emoción a las películas.

what cord do i use to connect the sound bar with the bose bass module 500?
Aux
I have the TV speaker hardwired to the 500 bass module, but cannot connect the 500 to the app to 'fine tune' the sound. Any suggestions?
Hi! I would try closing and reopening the app as well as the bass module. The bose music app should be able to connect with the 500 bass module on its own.

Worth it?
Can an older solo 5 soundbar connect to base module 500?
Is it possible to connect any other Subwoofer to the Bose TV Speaker or only Bose Sub Modul?
If you had to pick between adding to the 600 soundbar either a surround sound 700 speakers or 500 base module which one would you go for?
Hi! I would go with the bass module 500. The 700 surround speakers will expand the soundstage and overall volume BUT the subwoofer really makes you feel the music, scene, movie. The 600 soundbar does a good job already with surround sound or dolby atmos speaker.
is the dining room size matter? i am using soundbar 900 with surround 700 already
thinking of module 500 or 700
The entire room will count as long as the rooms are opened up like open kitchen + living room set up.

Hi! Yes the bass module 500 makes the 600 sound 100% better. I describe it as going to the movies and hearing imax sound vs digital sound.

Yeah but what's the point of buying a sub woofer when you can't use the bass
Can connect rca input subwoofer( yamaha..etc)

Stick with bose . You will never regret
Does bose tv speaker and boss bass module 500 are compatible?
Yes they are but only using a cable. I recommend using the bose subwoofer cable as other cables I tried had some interference. The bass will not be as powerful as with a bose 300 and up soundbars but I think the option to have a sub.
Hi which is better 500 module & 700 module for 600 soundbar?
700 is more powerful but for rooms under 300 Sq ft, its overkill for most people.
Get the 700 I have them both now. The 500 is good loud punchy. 700 deep bass loud. I’m in an open studio apt you can turn the bass down and still get that deep base.
I have a bose tv speaker and a module 500 currently using. I am planning to upgrade a soundbar which one do you recommend the 300 or 600?
600 no doubt
Mine won’t connect are you using a aux cord?
Wow that sounds amazing 😮
Which best choose for my bedroom small size (215 ft)? Bose 600 + module 500 is ok?
Yes and that would be a lot of sound for a smaller room.
What if you don’t have a smartphone…?
You should get a wireless headset so you can move around and not worry about being close to the mic on the stand
Wired sub worked fine for months then the bass module tab disappeared from the Bose app. How do I get it back?
If it's an app issue, did you try deleting and reinstalling the app? You might need to re-pair the bass module.
Is the bass anygood at low low volume on the 500? Cheers

How is the sound quality?

sir bose tv speakar or jbl SB190 WHICH IS BEST
Bose soundbar jbl only if you care big bass . No details .

Well yeah.....but you're comparing apples and oranges.
Still doesn't change the fact the TV Speaker is 2.0 stereo with no DTS support for blu-ray/DVD collectors.

I totally agree with you. I bought the bose 500 bass once connected didn't hear any difference.
Really thinking about getting the 500 subwoofer.
500 is good! 700 is better but not sure if worth double the price.
Can you add two 500 subwoofer

ok👍
500 sounds better in my opinion
The 700 packs a big punch but for a normal size living room (300-400 Sq ft), the 500 should be more than enough.
