    Steve, excellent video. It is great that someone finally made a video on this topic, I know there are a lot of people that needed this. I bought your lens kit a couple months ago and it has worked great. Thanks for all you do for our laser community.

      Great to hear that the lenses are working well for you! I meant to do this video a while ago but I've been strapped for time the past few months so it kept sliding down the priority list.

    Thanks for another great video, Steve. You’ve taken the guesswork out of this process. I’ll be ordering your lens package just so that I have them handy.

    Steve, Any chance that we could get a machine maintenance video. Have seen some concerning overall cleaning but maybe a bit more in-depth for machines that have been in use for a long period. Lube/oil, whatever. Thanks,

    The video is great but the fact that you sell these kits is by far the best thing I have discovered from this video! One issue I always have is the build up of crap on my fan and inner components and I have always had to take my module apart to clean as best I can in there. I have actually had the fan stop mid job because it got too gunk ed up. You seemed to indicate that this would be caused my not sufficient airflow over my work piece. That could also explain the excessive charring I get. I currently use an exhaust fan pulling the air from my Grow tent that I am using for an enclosure. I leave the zipper un-zipped at the bottom so it provides an inlet for the air. I do not usually see excessive smoke build up in the tent but occasionally I do see a little for a few seconds. Do you have any suggestions for increasing the airflow over my piece? Whisper fan(s) on one side blowing it off the piece? Not sure how else I would get airflow to keep the cooling fan from sucking in particulates into the module. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I am building my own enclosure-zilla so if I can incorporate something in that to avoid this issue I would love to hear it.
    Thanks for what you do. Your channel is one of the primary sources for me and I appreciate your insight.

    Steve, Appreciate the info. I've had to replace lens a number of times and have spare holders on hand. Did order some lens from you also. Can't have enough on hand. I do clean the lens prior to starting the laser for the day, spritz of alcohol and wipe with Q-Tip. Seems to improve the amount of time I can use the lens before it goes bad. I'm using the xTool D1 10w. Just ordered some of those swabs, so will stop with the Q-tips. Great advice. Thanks,
    P.S. Note the Clack Shack plug in the background.

    Great info Looking for al lens cover for the ATEZR L2 24W. any suggestions?

    • @Vintauri
      @Vintauri  Месяц назад

      Sorry I missed this earlier. I have the L2-36w machine and these will fit in the end cap for the lens cover. If you can take yours off and measure the inside diameter of the cap it should be around 14mm for them to work.

    do you know if they will work for a 40w xtool pro they look a little different .

      I do not have a 40w Pro for the D1 series to test them on. I will be testing them on the S1 40w module soon.

    Assuming since you reference it in the video that your replacement lens cover pack fits the Ortur 10W?

    • @Vintauri
      @Vintauri  2 месяца назад +1

      Unfortunately no. As I mentioned after taking them apart, they use a different lens that is smaller and held in differently. You'll still need to get them directly from Ortur.

    Thanks for a great video, very educational.
    Two questions:
    Can we just start with acetone for cleaning, it’s easier to find than pure isopropyl?
    And why is there an engraving of Colonel Sanders in the background?

    • @Vintauri
      @Vintauri  2 месяца назад +2

      You could start with acetone, but if you're using a stock lens that is glued in, that will break down the adhesive a bit so just be mindful of that. I personally like to use the least harmful chemical first but I can understand if it's harder to source. As for Colonel Sanders, that's my friend The Clack Shack and he liked to make a Cameo appearance in my videos. :)
