It a standard (manual) transmission! Useless in today’s world, everything is Auto even semi trucks, would have made a great motor home only it’s a stick change!
Actually, it's a 12 speed ZF AS Tronic automated manual transmission. You can drive it as a full automatic or go up and down the gears driving it as a semi-auto, hence the gearshift. In my opinion, the finest and most satisfying PSV autos around.
