Honda XL 125 First Start in over 20 years

Bike been sat since 1996, bought today, cleaned the carb and put some petrol in and voila she runs! Party on! Big smile

I have my dads honda Xl185s he has not start from 96' if i clean carb and repair valves can i got it run?
My dads stoped riding him because my brother is stupid

Just carb and petrol, should run. Make sure oil lever correct. Sorry so late reply. Just seen

Might need to file the points down depending on the year of a these old xl's my 1974 the points needed to be cleaned before it would run.
