Carvin Jones: Bluesman

Local blues musician Carvin Jones talks with PHOENIX Magazine about his love for playing in the Phoenix area, his world tour and local musicians who have influenced his music. I had the privilege of playing drums for Carvin from 2005 to 2012 at local Phoenix gigs. He taught me to smile and have fun while playing which led to me playing more relaxed...which led to having more fun. He helped me to be a better drummer but I'm still a far better mechanic than I ever will be a drummer... Many thanks to Carvin Jones for helping me to be a better drummer. I'm so thankful that he thought enough of my playing to give me a call to make some great music! Love ya, my Brother!
