In the 80s, I grew a LOT of sprouts and am thinking growing them again. This video was extremely helpful and precise. It is nice that you show the soil and no-soil method simultaneously. Bravo!
*in the 80s
Thank you so much . Extremely helpful one with slow technique ,no background music lol. I saved your video for just in case . Tomorrow morning I gotta plant mustard seeds. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏
Thanks for the video, I just started my first sprouts in a jar four days ago. Your videos are very helpful.
Best instructional video on growing mustards THANKS!
I appreciate all your great videos on microgreens. Thank you!
Love, love the video. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us.
What a great idea to add them to sushi rolls!!! Thank-you for the excellent info!!
Great video. I love that you found ways to make it super cheap.
indeed except for poopee
Thanks a lot, Khang, that's exactly what I was looking for. I bought mustard seeds from an Indian shop to make homemade mustard, and and I wondered if I can use them for sprouting the way I use mung beans and others.
Great channel, subscribed and will recommend :)
great to see both methods. thank you. Inexpensive and looks easy--i have been trying sprouting in jars and frankly this method looks easier
I had too many in my cabinet now i can grow them😊
Awesome video once again! Love your vids!
Thank you so much for the info. I'm about to be 22 years old and I realised that I'e never grown anything. EVER! I've planted seeds but never stayed around to watch the progress. I always wanted to try with mustard seeds. Now' the time baby ; )
I hope you continued :)
Good video Khang, i will definitely grow those, very easy to grow, tasty and highly nutritious, thanks.

Well explained, excellent. I do love to grow and experiment different types of species. Thanks
I love these in my egg mayonnaise salad or on top of scramble eggs :) I've always bought them from the supermarket, but I will definitely follow your instructions to grow some at home. Thank you for this very informative video.
+Abheesha Busawon You're welcome!
Thanks for a useful video and the clear instructions. I love mustard microgreens but haven't grown them for a while. I've going to grow them again now that I've seen your video.
Linda Crampton They are so good and has a unique spicy flavor. Thanks for watching!
Awesome video. Very good and to the point explanation of the subject.
I never thought to use the seeds from spice aisles! Great tip and so cheap too.
theuglykwan: Yes, there are lots of Indian grocery stores in my city.
I Iive in a rural area of North Carolina where we have Red Clay Soil. I looked up the price of Red Clay and found it to be $15.11 a pound. However I have seen the local families grow all types of Salad Greens for decades but never knew that mustard greens or any salad green could be grown without soil. I have mustards, collards, and kale growing in Red Clay. I am ordering more seeds as we speak and grow them in trays without soil. Thank You Very Much. and... Stay Safe from COVID 19.
thanks bro, loved your attitude
love u to dad
I tried it, it grows really fast and looks good.
Thank you. I bought mustard seeds thinking I could sprout them the same way as alfalfa, broccoli etc. Since it did not work , I will try this next
Thanks very much for sharing your valuable information

Excellant very useful information.
Great video! Thank you!
thank you. I like it.
I will try without soil method. Happy to get this idea. I use coriander seeds from indian store to grow cilantro.we get plenty of seeds for reasonable price.
That was a great video. I like the soil free method better for me.
Uau : D thank you from Portugal 🇵🇹
Hi, thanks for the vid.. i appreciate you put the other link in your description.. more quickly to get to them.. another point i like is you said what taste the sprout as.. because some are more interesting then other.. and how to know at first to find what seed to buy ? so i will defenitely sprout Mustard for sure...As for the soil method, i saw another video where the person put a paper towel over the seeds, first it help to keep moisture.. but it also keep the harvest "cleaner" as we cut.. no soil get in the sprout... else then that.. great info.. Mike
Thanks for the video...
Thank you!!! I hve seeds will try this
Thank you!!
Thank you so much...
Thank you.
Thanks. I have a big bag of mustard seed
Ok Khang... now you've made me want to grow some mustard greens. Fast, seems easy, and on a sandwich? Whatta win-win. Great video! Thanks.
Thanks Rob! I think you'll really enjoy growing these. They are fast, easy, healthy and is a great addition to foods.
Thank you for the info, may Allah bless you :)
As usual, fantastic job Khang! I just tried growing 10 trays. By the 3rd day were covered in Mold. I had them stacked on top of each other w the top tray covered. What went wrong?
Thank you i try 😋😋
Good for environment
When you chop the top do the stalks grow back or need to down new seeds?
You can buy unbleached paper towels to avoid some if not most chemicals. Thanks for the info!. Shalom!
I lov your voice❤️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
hmsyes
I really like it
thank you
wow!! in just 7 days
Excellent video. Did you make holes in the small containers before filling the soil in to prevent mold?
Fantastico 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Your information is really very beneficial. Thanks so much for providing important information. I also provide information related to gardening.
Hey just wondering whether your takeaway containers also have holes?
Your speaking voice sounds like Prince. So nice.
hi Khang. I've watched nearly all of your videos on sprouting and love your detailed easy methods. :-) I'm having trouble with my arugula seeds sticking together and making a "blanket" which prevents sprouting. Had to throw trays away. Maybe overwatering? (no holes) Question. Are there any seeds that you soak? I don't recall seeing you soak any seeds for sprouting. All my seed bags have directions for soaking except for the really tiny ones. Is it necessary? Sure is easier to spread dry seeds.
Thanks again - Robin
Thanks
Great video very informative. i am going to give that method a try hopefully i get the same grate results as you did
Awesome
Good!
Loooove using either to go trays or the plastic bins my mixed greens come in for Teeko my bunny
Do they taste exactly the same using both methods? lf not, which method produces the better tasting sprouts? Thx.
thanks i did not know for sure about paper towels, read somewhere you can use unbleached so i am about to start mine :-) awesome video by the way good format
Dee Deason Thank you Dee!

Hi. Thanks for the great video. I just want to ask, did you make holes on the take-out container? Thanks.
Hellohow long can you harvest these greens and after you cut them where is the best place to store them in the fridge or back where you grew them away from the light. thanks for the great video.
Great work. thanks for the simple explanation.. ahh yer.
Thanks John!
Khang Starr
I followed your method and it grew mould
hi. no need to soak the seeds? the same process for wheatgrass seeds?
Hey dude I’ve been watching many videos and am just starting out looking to be a winter grower/starter/fruiter (hopefully) in Colorado. I keep seeing a silver shelving wrack for your hydroponics. But I’m trying to figure out how I should set up as a beginner likely doing a few peppers, some herbs, and sprouts. Any tips would be awesome. Thanks so much and keep it up bro!
Check out my indoor tour video and you will see my setup in details.
Nice channel bro subbed
super
Nice
Hi khang star thank you very much for nice and useful information.
pls let me know the Time duration for soil and soiless ripen mustards ?
waiting for your reply.
how long can the mustard sprouts survive using the paper towel method and how long can their roots get?
I’m having trouble timing my different MG’s to harvest at peak nutrients without going that extra day or two over where the MG’s go fibrous or harvesting them to early & off peak, where can I get the info on each one without wasting time with trial & error? Shalom! Thanks!
Sooooo nise
Can you take seeds from them to plant new ones in order to be self sufficient with the cress?
Can you please tell what care need to be taken while growing microgreens on tissue to avoid fungi?? I tried to grow fenugreek and flax seeds on tissue but got fungus on them after three days
can we plant it at garden?
Did they need to be covered and placed in the dark till they sprouted, and then exposed to light ?
Do you cut them or pull them out?
Draining holes necessary?
Wow
Is it ok if we harvest them on day 10? What if we expose them to light for 3 days?
After harvesting do they again grow ?
If u continue to let them grow would it give mustard seeds??or is this method just for growing leaves?
Mine were green but with red bits... Wasn't sure if they were OK but maybe there were some red mustard seeds mixed with the green idk?
