Bugatti: Italian man who moves to Germany and builds his factory in Molsheim, Germany (Elsass-Lothringen), then his country loses WW1 and it becomes French province again, spends his life in France, later his company goes bankrupt, Italian businessman buys it (Bugatti S.p.A) and creates the EB 110, then goes bankrupt, German Volkswagen brand buys the brand again (Bugatti S.A.S) but moves the factory from Campogalliano back to Molsheim, France and continues to build cars there. Bugatti = sign of Italian-French-German team work
- how dare your forget the Nicola Romeo from Alfa Romeo & Maserati brothers?? These fellas predates Ferrari and Lamborghini by decades, almost half a century.
This brand has to give everything to the Italian creator and the more then 100 years of Italian sport cars tradition. It has the Italian soul, spirit and passion of building sport cars. French don’t have anything of that and they agree. In fact the brands that belong to France are Citroen, Renault and Peugeot. Those are the carmaker that everyone associates to french cars. Germany historically at least always had something competitive in car race competition with Mercedes-Benz or a car brand that produces sport cars as Porsche though they really never competed in international racing. The shame is how that BUGATTI exclusively appears as french with the french flag on it. This is something that angers Italians a lot but at the end of the day Italians itself fucked up as the company turned back to Italy in the 90’s but the chance to let this Italian car brand shine again broke. Then VW Group bought it and now this are the consequences. Just look to the great past of Alfa Romeo or Maserati. Alfa Romeo particularly should be a brand at the same level of Porsche or Maserati. In stuff like that Germans made it clearly better then Italians to increase their carmakers. Only Ferrari and Lamborghini, Ferrari in particular, which should be considered the most important and famous one, are the only that continued to make great cars and history without any interruption of an financial crisis or wrong management.
This video is a factual whitewash. Just a few examples, no mention that he was paid for 150m francs by the Germans for the factory in WW2, the fact his first child by his 2nd wife was born out of wedlock before his first wife died, the fact Ettore had a stroke at Dorlisheim after attending the court of appeal and visiting the tree Jean had died at. This great man deserves better, we need to see his faults and foibles as well as his greatness.

Bugatti is an Italian last name.
