Highly recommended for generally healthy people, but not suitable for diabetics as the vast majority of Taiwanese breakfast items are high in carbohydrates.

Great breakfast spots are in every neighborhood, just look for the lines of customers standing on the sidewalk. My favorite for years was near CKS Memorial Hall, across the street from a school. See every neighborhood is a village and the residents know which breakfasts are the best for that village. Get up early and walk around, look for locals standing in line to buy something. Hint: the best places will be near the local MRT station. Start there and explore early but not too early.

5 am? That won’t work, as teenagers don’t even get up until noon. 45 minutes wait doesn’t sound too bad, given we waited 1 hour for Los Angeles In & Out Burger. 80 minutes for sushi and 90 minutes for ramen. But, the best was fish tacos off food truck and only 3 minutes on Saturday noon.

😅 I feel ya but unfortunately according to google the earlier the better as the crowd only grows from there, at this stage the first 2 hours they open seems to be the best, still i felt the 45 minute wait wasnt too bad either all things considered =)

The salty soy milk is supposed to be served curdled. When you add the vinegar (acid) to the soy it curdles it :)

@@PhatLifeProject I did thank you 🥹 what are your most memorable eats from taipei? For me it’s xiaolongbaos from din tai fung, matcha mille crepe cake from either Lady M or About H Coffee, beef noodles from jiu daokou in jiufen, a-zhu peanut ice cream roll also in jiufen, boba from xing fu tang, stinky tofu from that famous stand at ningxia night market, oyster omelette from yuen huan pien (also at ningxia), and pig blood cake from ningxia too! but tomorrow I go to shida night market so I may have some things to add to this list 😆

Sorry you can clearly see on the signs that there was a Bib in 2022 (icon licking its lips) and before this it was only recommended.
