If you ask me, I would say Zubimendi and Nico Williams can change this completely. I believe so. They would cost around 110-120 million. If we sell some extra players ( like, Garcia, Lenglet, Fati and a another decent value player) , I think we can afford that. Maintain mid bloc, set pressing triggers in midfield, defend in numbers and counter press in transition. It's that simple. I love Xavi, i have witnessed his entire career as a footballer at Barca and Spain and there's no one like him when it comes to football intelligence, even Iniesta doesn't come close. 2) Money : Couple of good signings (most probably expensive) in key positions will help his tactics give results
3) young team : The team is young and still learning .
4) Too much noise outside : The club is involved in too much controversies which will eventually affect the player and manager as well

Xavi is trying to compensate that by making our team defend as a unit(klopp style in liverpool) but our players in the forward line are not at all good at pressing . So I don't think we can get consistent wins unless we sign a cdm who can block the passing lanes and who can disrupt opposition play. Christensen can be used there but he is injury prone and we are so far ahead in this season we cannot experiment now. Our season depends on Laporta now whether he can get a cdm or not.

I love Xavi, i have witnessed his entire career as a footballer at Barca and Spain and there's no one like him when it comes to football intelligence, even Iniesta doesn't come close. Now when it comes to managing a club like Barca, Xavi has not done well but can we blame him outrightly, I dont think that would fair. Last season he won us the league despite all the issues but did we back him enough this season during the transfer window. No we didnt. Our squad remained the same infact we lost one key player in Busi but failed to replace him with another. I think the management didnt provide the tools that Xavi requies to perfrom well. Csrlo Ancelotti didkt win anything last seasin but RM showed faith in him and gave him good players last summer and overhauled the team, is Xavi getting the same support, I dont think so. Having said that, i will not defend Xavi for his fair share of mistakes. I will blame him for always staring Lewa even though he is performing very poorly, i will blame Xavi for his poor tactics and ingame management, i will blame him for showing more confidence on Roberto than our youngsters,..but I will not blame him for our ingame performance..our defence has been utterly poor, Kounde, Araujo, Christensen, Balde..all should be blamed for that first goal, how the hell do you concede a goal in the first 60 seconds of the game..thsts unacceptable. I still don't know we spend around 200/250 M but didn't plan and signed proper player just like we need LW, RB, CDM, LB and RW. This is totally mess from Board and Xavi. How we bring player like Victor for 40 M but we can't sign a simple defensive pivot. 😢 Xavi need to learn, adapt and improve drom his mistakes.
