- Congratulations were in order when we caught up with newlywed and Emmy nominee Kerry Washington tonight. The Scandal star, who walked the red carpet at ABC's TCAs party with her costars Bellamy Young and Tony Goldwyn, told us it's been an admittedly "crazy" couple of months between saying "I do" and earning an Emmy nod for her role as Olivia Pope. We also chatted with the trio about whether their Twitter followers have ever influenced the direction of the show or their characters, and they gave us a little bit of intel to help tide fans over until Scandal returns with a new season in October.

Tony usually wears his emotions on his shoulders when it comes to Kerry, and for him to look at Kerry briefly acknowledge her marriage and not turn red or show any type of emotion, to me it indicates that he knows what's up with her reported marriage.
The way he keeps looking at Kerry, I felt his heart sunk when the reporter mentioned about her wedding!
Why would his heart sink while he is married, and know Kerry was with her fiancée and gettin married soon during filming the Scandal show. Let us not mix fiction with truth reality!
The one thing Kerry never wants her fans to do is put her up on a pedestal. She says that often. We dont know the circumstances around that mans marriage. Its a well known fact in Hollywood that he and Jane have been separated for over 10 years. ANYONE can see that these two people are in love with Each Other. Its all over them! He has been a lonely man for a very very long time and Kerry has given him his life! All he wants is to be close to her. You can see that in every interview!
The way kerry said "thank God for our fans" was cause for me to believe that because of the fans, something or things were changed in some way. Its as if the fandom plays a BIG role in what happens in the show especially between her and TG.
Bellamy plays Mellie to perfection. I don't see any overacting on Scandal.

Even off screen these two seem to have a natural chemistry together. I believe that there is a genuine love connection but because of him being married she wouldn't dare go there trying to make something they both have that is powerful chemistry. Just leave that alone.l

I agree ....Bellamy Young is a terrific actress but the story lines aren't heavily focused on her character. The cast of Scandal has a wealth of talent. Jeff Perry and Tony Goldwyn should have been nominated as well.

I am so fun of that cast. What a group of Great actors, so impressive!. I also believe that all of the main actors should have been nominated. Ridiculous that they were not. It is completely unfair that Tony, Bellamy, Jeff Perry and his partner in the show should have received an award for their great performance.. But Kerry is very gracious about her nomination and is soo loved ,. Can't wait for the next episodes.

There have been changes in the writing. There are a certain group of fans that love Terry and Olitz and refuse to allow SR to destroy the show and the beauty of the love of Olitz. Bellamy is a good actress but hell, she gets the speeches and the writing is better for her and Jeff than it is for Kerry and Tony! Enough is enough!
I agree! And it continues to boggle my mind that there are absolutely no photos of Kerry and Nnamdi together publically. There are plenty of stars who are private with their relationships but they are at least seen with whoever they are dating or married to.
I love all three of them. But I feel Bellamy gets overlooked at times which pisses me off because she brings a lot to the show. She should of has a Emmy nomination. & when she said thank god for our fans I think she's just saying the show is staying around because of them and they really mean a lot to them.

Nnamdi Is an American but he is also Igbo. He has an image to uphold. These men are very territorial about their women! His parents are Igbo and his mother is wanting him a wife that is the same. For Kerry to be intimate with Tony in that way and be engaged to NA would have been a HUGE issue for this young man! He would have embarrassed the entire family! He would have been frowned upon by Igbo men and women! She would have been shunned by his family. NO, they are not married. TERRY ON!

I don't care what anyone says, to me this interview was awkward, orchestrated, and fake. And Kerry knows how to get off topic and steer the conversation back to the television show and off of what's going on with her personally.

I agreed with you! Their body language said a lot. I saw TG pain in his eyes when they asked her about the marriage. KW look nervous, uncertain perhaps uncomfortable not wanting to hurt TG feelings. IDC what ppl say to me but I'm 100% sure TG is sweet for KW. He can't help himself on interviews you can see his admiration for her added with making of romantic scenes with her that is dangerous. I feel he has developed feeling for her outside the show. Question is is it momentarily feelings? I hope so or he'll be screw. I also think that KW and NA relationship is not a forever one. Marriage is work, it's routine, is unappreciated, its consuming and it only works when there is true love. She doesn't look like a woman in love, in cloud nine, extremely happy. She is very cold, detach, unconcern with NA. I think the guy is a great man from what little I know about him. She wasn't like that to her ex fiancee David Moscow she was more involve.

I agreed with you about TG he is in a dead marriage for many years. I think TG shares some of Fitz insecurities and this is why he stays in a dead marriage. I hate to think when is the last time TG has gotten great sex!!! I also think he is enamor an with KW and I bet he is confuse if his feelings are becuz of Fitz or him. I've watched several interviews and interactions between Tony and Kerry and came to the conclusion that many of the show's fans can't tell fantasy from reality. And I guess this was necessary to keep the show going and I think that Tony did a excellent job promoting it as such.

Plenty of short people look healthy and not skinny, but now rumors are swirling that Kerry may be preggers. She didn't look as skinny at the Emmys or on Jon Stewart's show recently. Being short doesn't mean you have to look almost emaciated. Nia long is short, only 5'2 and she has always looked great on camera, never almost scary skinny like Kerry. Kerry didn't always look like this, in Ray & lakeview terrace she looked great
As far as PR is concerned my "gut" tells me things will be way more subdued this Season.
