It's really painful for me for years until she came back in 2011 and played live in my country , it was a dream come true, don't give up hope I am sure one day she'll be there at your home town.
I love Amy and her band, but I think her nerves kinda get to her during live performances, but she still sounds great. Can't wait to see them live one day. 😁

That was the case in the infamous Download 2007, but that was an extreme because they were opening for Iron Maiden and didn't feel like they were what the crowd wanted. Normally they just put on some music and rock out to settle the nerves. Amy has also said that once she gets on stage and starts singing it slowly gets better. It takes her about a song or two to "get in the zone". I don't remember the exact interview(s) she said this but she's said it more than once.
It's not nerves. She struggles because her style of singing requires a lot of breath control, and moving around the stage and headbanging like she does plays havoc with that control. Its a bit hard to hit and sustain a note when you're gasping for breath all the time.

That's cause on CDs they are standing still in a cool, air conditioned studio. Not running around on stage. Think if they were to just stand still and sing, it would sound even better than they already do.. But, then the show wouldn't be as good.
Sometimes it's good not to sound exacty like on the cd because you'd be like: do i haave my headphone on or am I in their concert?, HOWEVER, to see that the voice expose on the album is not modified or not THAT modified, is realy satisfying.
