It’s one thing to hear it on the song but to actually see your feet go that ridiculously fast and consistently at that, it just adds so much.

Imagine being in the same room as Jay when he’s laying down something like that, or anything tbh. Listening to an acoustic drum kit (in person) being expertly and unforgivingly hammered by a professional drummer of Jays caliber is a sight to behold. Those double kicks would reverberate through your very soul in that studio.

Serious power on the kicks. Tough to sustain that speed with that type of volume and intensity, or without using triggers. Amazing performance man. Side note: big fan of the 'Oriental Crash of Doom' cymbals on the far ends of the kit! I used to have a 20", it was a monster!

You can hear the guitar players (or at least one) playing in the room here so i'm pretty sure he hears that at least, and maybe the kick mics at least.

@@JonTheSicario A custom mix of the entire band playing. By custom i mean that maybe he doesn't need to hear the DJ stuff and his cymbals super loud, but maybe he needs to hear his kicks a lot, guitars a lot, bass a little, etc (just an example).
