Really glad to have your content on here. There is such a huge lack of online education for commercial hvac vs residential

Thank you for posting this. LG multi v4 just found the master unit oil return solenoid shorted internally which killed the pcb and would no longer communicate with the other 2 condensers or evap controllers.

I’ve been working on LG MULTI V, Fujitsu Airstage and Mitsubishi City Multi. Never got any factory training but I’m holding my own. Nobody I have worked with knows the details like this here. Thanks for this great information!

other than tightening the post for the ground on the board or swapping out a new wire, is there anyway to “repair” the bad ground (or something else to check), or would that just be replacing the board as the next step

I have a problem with a YMC2 chiller with a failure in demand distortion of more than 25%, and the logic board has already been changed, and it continues to give that failure. Can you help me? what could it be?

As soon as the vrf guides are published I will start on the air cooled

This stuff is amazing. I would really like to get into VRF systems because I feel it is truly the future diagnosing these boards would be a dream of mine. Unfortunately I live in an area where it’s mainly conventional systems if I knew of a company that install these units I would jump on board.

I highly recommend any technicians who are starting who are currently in a college trade 2 1/2 year HVAC program.
Inside your college, there should be a separate PLC course .
I recommend at least taking PLC 101 PLC 102 classes . it’s actually a lot of fun you get to build PLC robots using PLC program them use different software right your own code.
And it makes and takes you to the next level of understanding above the other technicians out in the field . at least you know it exists and you know where to find a resources after taking these classes.

Any video class resources that you know of? Seems like a great idea to increase knowledge base…

Good thing about going to college in your 40’s or 50’s it’s actually fun now. And a brake of me or ( self time ) away from the wife 😂 projects (work)

That’s not a bad idea. When I was in community college my school offered a Building Automation Systems program to HVAC students. I took advantage of the lack of interest and ended up getting a job immediately through the program.

@@KSWKREW HVAC employers are looking for somebody who is willing to volunteer and take extra hard difficult classes that are not just your basic grunt installer who just replaces parts.
Majority of all owners don’t know how to do the work themselves anymore because they’re too busy trying to run a business and put out fires and make profit
