I just finished re-reading the book, "COMMAND AND CONTROL" and found this interview . His delivery of the facts are clear and concise with details of other events related to the Damascus incident ! The years it took him to compile all the info is mind numbing and nothing short of extraordinary ! This book should be mandatory reading for every high school student to understand the lost history of the nuclear Cold War in all it's details ! As for a movie,... it could only be done in a series over several years of the multitude of nuke accidents world-wide that have gone un-reported or under-reported and numerous close calls that only SHEER LUCK kept a nuke from full detonation during an accident ! It is another way to convey the message of how since the claimed end of the Cold War , that nukes have lost attention, launch crews have failed tests , cheating during exams and the lack of maintenance to these super weapons ! I would love to put together such a TV series but I know the Govt and the military and Pentagon would spend BILLIONS to kill any attempt to display the folly of nuclear safety,... much like project Blue Book ! A full on movie would be a great start, leading into a TV series that shows just what really happened !
