I am working on a number of Sandy Allnock’s classes and I am ordering more. I have taken several single project classes that cost the same as an online class. Sandy Allnock’s instructions are the ones I use for all the projects no matter the subject or medium. What i have learned turn cookie cutter things into things that come alive. No matter what you are doing, practicing Sandy’s instruction will make you better no matter what I do!!!

You absolutely are not a failure! I am not a fan of any social media and I miss the good ole days! You are a temple of the Holy Spirit and have been such an inspiritation to me! After moving to Portugal we didn't have an english speaking church when we arrived - Now we do! God is so faithful! Love you classes and have to finish the classes I have but will finish and will order more. We pray for you always!

I've been wanting to get not one, but all of the classes you offer. However the last 8 years haven't easy for me. But as soon as I get a job and get out of all of my current situation I would at least get one. I got so excited to see you had a bible journaling video that I just knew you weren't going to dissapoint. You're an amazing artist. NEVER-NEVER feel you're less than that, Sandy because you're the greatest and even though I've never taken any of your art classes you always teach me something either art-wise or life-wise. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!

You are so talented and a great teacher, by taking your classes I have learned that I can draw, that I can blend and I'm loving your colored pencil jumpstart class that I'm taking at the moment, it's been a lot of fun and I really what to get better at it.. Although I love art and enjoy making cards I'm not the most talented or creative but you have helped me get better at it. I appreciate you, thank you.

Oooo! I loved this! Thank you so much for sharing it! I do something a little bit different -- a little bit the same. :) I call it my Sermon Journal. My local printer has a massive guillotine paper cutter and he cuts through composition books for me (across the binding making two smaller books). I then cover the books as I use up one and need another, using patterned papers and rubber stamps and doodling. Add fibers and doodads...whatever seems good. This becomes my actual sermon journal. I take it to church and make notes during the sermon of whatever moves or inspires or convicts. Then at home I sit and try to discover what the page should look like based on the notes. Often I have a stamp or two that are perfect. :) You can imagine how long it takes! I consider it my sabbath -- soaking in HIs word...applying it to my life -- and using the creative part of myself that He designed. Seeing your process and beautiful Bible journaling feels like an affirmation for me.!!!

Very insightful, and interesting. I have bought a journal and also a bible with heavier paper to give it a try.
I was one of those people who was not sure about this, but I know God was the first creator, and I think it would be very much a way to link the creative and spiritual together. Sandy you are such an inspiration and super teacher.

Absolute EXCELLENT video! The way you incorporated the overriding ideas and concepts so beautifully throughout, while expressing your thoughts seemingly effortlessly-I so appreciate the challenging nature of doing this-as I’m learning to tell stories in order to express ideas, and find this not at all a simple undertaking-plus, you’re teaching art SIMULTANEOUSLY! You’re so skilled!!😃
Of course this statement ignores the beautiful and obviously so masterful manner through which you have created the art shown in this video, as well! Tremendous work!
I began learning to paint after becoming Saved five years ago; and when I find other Believers who create as you do, it furthers my awareness of the fact that so many artists today (and all the way back in history of course as well!) are faithful followers of Jesus Christ, & I suspect this is because God LOVES ART!
If He didn’t, He never would have created the world to be as unimaginably beautiful and varied as it is🙌🏻❤️
Anyhow, I haven’t ever taken one of your courses so I cannot contribute to the review commentary unfortunately; however i just want YOU to know that your VIDEOS have not only touched me over the last year (since I began watching your channel) but I have also learned a LOT from your teaching here on You Tube-so thank you, Sandy!!
If I can offer a wee bit of advice from one sister in the Lord to another? Please try to remember that whatever way social media has harmed your business (& I’m very sorry to hear this - as it always feels quite unfair and undeserved when such things happen) no opportunity will slow or come to a close without another coming alive, if we do our best to look away from the past and into the future of that which could be created.
All things for God’s GLORY ultimately-right?
I believe that the fact that you speak of Him openly and unabashedly within your videos
during this tragic time in this world, with forces seemingly driving humankind to erase God’s presence from society more and more every day, speaks volumes for where your heart lies, and above all else, that is an enormous blessing for your life!
Apologies for the lengthy comment and I hope I properly got my point across🙏🏻. I pray for you and wish the very best for you moving forward, Sandy!☺️🙏🏻

I haven’t done any Bible journaling, but you are getting me inspired! I love the quote I noticed in your journaling on ‘Go Fish,’ ; ‘You catch, He cleans.’ That’s fantastic.
God speaks to me in things I see around me. Because I don’t always write the messages down, they easily become lost. I started a blog called Worth-a-thought, but I’ve been pretty slack with it! I hear what you’re saying when you say that turning the camera on can switch off creativity. I’m the same as soon as I sit down to create a specific card for someone.
At other thing I’d like to say I really appreciate about your videos, is the massive effort you go to to edit! Somehow you manage to include everything that is needed, without just turning the camera on and filming the whole lengthy process. (I don’t watch people who do that). ❤

Hi! I have several of your classes on the website. I couldn't find where to leave reviews on the website for the various classes. But - My favorite was the Copic Hex chart with techniques. I had so much fun learning all the different techniques. Runner up was Copic Journaling. I'm about half way through that one. These classes are so creative and put together. I even loved your polls for the website name, hehe. It was fun. Third is the Inky class. Those fish!!

Hi Sandy! I was hoping this was going to be about you returning to Bible journaling RUclips tutorials and reinstating the Facebook group! 😊💕 Your video comparing art journaling and Bible journaling was so interesting! I tend to skip the art journaling, but I see how it can be used as an aid to get your thoughts onto a page and to plan out the page to illustrate a Bible truth. And then when you think you’re ready, you can have your final thoughts with the illustration to do again in your Bible! What a great idea! Thanks for sharing how you process your work. 😊

    • @SandyAllnock1
      @SandyAllnock1  Год назад +1

You don't need to learn "how" to do journaling at all :) Just begin! Put some color on some paper, and write about what you're thinking about. Maybe there's an image, maybe it's just a swoosh of colors. Any medium works great! :)
If you're interested in Bible journaling specifically I do have a couple classes on the Bible journaling page, but only one class for art journaling (and that's with Copics). The Gratitude Junk Journal class in November will be a good overview of how a lot of different artists approach journaling but be careful about getting overwhelmed and trying to buy all the supplies. You don't need much at all. I used some simple splashes of watercolor and a pen to make that one page, so you can keep it simple :0)

I never thought about some of the things you mentioned with regard to bible journaling. I’m so glad you shared this. You’re so right it’s so personal and distractions interfere sometimes with what God is speaking to us. I love the Bible journaling but I just can’t get into journaling. I wasn’t good with righting in a diary as a kid either.
