- Hello everyone, this is The Train by Miimaas on A03. This is an amazing one-shot that shows a new pro hero Aizawa Shouta, struggling and trying to rest after patrol, but instead encounters a young Midoriya Izuku and his mother on a late night train.

He was 5 when he met him. He was 5 when he was laying limp on the ground, whimpering in pain when he came. He was 5 when another hero name was written right next to All Might. Squiggly handwriting, and black inked.
He was 6 when he got his friend back. And 7 when he realized there were only two adults in his life that made him feel safe. He also 7 when he got a person to call Dad
He was 12 when he died. And 12 when he found out that apparently the gods, and luck hadn't entirely abandoned him.
It was also when he was 12 that his rose tinted image of heroes shattered. His dreams crushed mercilessly as he was left alone on a rooftop.

Thanks for podficing this one, I like to go back to it and it's just the right length to listen it in one go but also to get a bit lost in it. Together with fics about Aizawa adopting Midoriya it shows how people that can help needed help first too and that might or might not be reason why they help when they are able.
