@@nathanielhiggerson7679 every team out there cheats. Even Richard Petty has cheated his fair share of times. Hell even to the point of having an oversized motor and NASCAR allowing the win to stand and trying to keep it hush. I am no JJ fan but do respect what he has done.

Lefty Gretzky Many teams have been shown favoritism in tech, especially the ones that have a speedway named after the sponsor. Jimmie has only course win in over 40 starts and only one Busch win in over 100 starts, he was never the best but his equipment was
@@nathanielhiggerson7679 You realize Earnhardt only had one road course win as well. Want to talk about favoritism, lets go back to Petty's oversized engine. It wasn't a few millimeters over like Carl Long, who they screwed over (of course it will be after detonating), this was 382 cubic inch to a 358 maximum allowed. Zero chance it was by accident or by them even stretching the rules, it was blatent cheating. Who knows how much he got away with over the years, do you honestly think they would throw the King under the bus?

I was never a Jimmie fan, but I can't think of one moment where I didn't respect the man. This tribute is a selfless and amazing gesture on his part. He doesn't have to do this sort of thing. He chooses to. That's what makes him a great person for this sport.
i HATED watching him win so many championships, but the truth is, my hate was toward the repetitiveness of him winning, and not towards him at all. I wish there were more drivers like him in this sport. He's a good dude.

@@Hasselhoff25816 I dunno that I'd go THAT far, Petty and Dale Sr. laid the groundwork on how to represent yourself as a champion. Jimmie simply took that blueprint and made it his own. That being said. I'm glad it's him and not other certain drivers with bad attitudes...

Now this is how you do a throwback! I have to applaud ally for sacrificing brand recognition and changing there colors do make this throwback possible. Anyone remember that awful throwback larson did in 2018 to Davy allison? Yeah I'm glad that company went under after that. Who ever decided in this throwback I applaud you.

Dead on nailed it. By far the best throwback scheme to be done. I lost it I was ecstatic when I first saw it. It blew me away. And what a humble awesome guy Jimmy Johnson is. Knowing and respecting the greats that he stands with. If anybody deserves to be tied with those two legends and championships it's Jimmy. And honestly he deserves to beat that record.
Dale Sr. deserved 8 or more too, it seems that 7's the limit and I highly doubt there will ever be a 4th to accomplish 7x!

Its perfect. Captured the iconic part of each car. From the top you automatically know its the legend Richard Petty. Then from the side, you automatically know its the legend, the intimidator. The scheme works perfectly too. It really looks good!

Great tribute by Jimmie. The car looks amazing. Maybe Jimmie can put it in victory lane and qualify for the chase. Still can't decide if I want him to win an 8th championship or stay at 7. You know you kind of hate to see your heroes records get broken.

Earnhardt and Petty...... no disrespect to other drivers but probably two of the best ever! Was at Richard’s Museum before this COVID stuff and bought a few items. The King was on site and offered to sign my merchandise. He said every signature was a thank you to the fans for feeding his family, putting a roof over their heads, and supporting him doing so! Met Dale at Welcome and he was as friendly as a long time buddy! Even picked on me! Those were the the days and people of NASCAR I really miss.... The paint schemes alone should shave off some lap time! Good luck to Jimmie!
Well I will say its a totally unselfish thing to do. Im not a fan of Johnson. But this makes me respect him for being unselfish. So hats off to Johnson. Dale Jr. Hit it on the head. He nailed it. Yes Johnson showed class and style. Will definitely bring all 3 7 times fans together.

Heck yeah Jr! Asheville Motor Speedway shirt! I grew up going to that track. Watching Jack Ingram, lee Tissot, Bob Pressley, and Randy Porter racing there not to mention the one year Kerry ran there.

We're almost there. Now all Jimmie has to do is channel Richard and Dale during the throwback weekend and I don't see how anything less than a victory in that race is good enough. I've never pulled for Jimmir in any race but respect the career he has had and the caliber in his talent. Running this paint scheme is going to be exciting to see. With respect of this being Jimmie's last year, Dale and Richard's paint scheme, this car and driver combo has no where else to be at Darlington other than victory lane.
Wish we could get STP on the hood and Goodwrench on the sides, but this is great. Loving this Jimmie and Hendricks
Awesome scheme there Jimmie.....class act brother! The last diecast car I got was several actually of Dale Sr.'s last win at Talledega, 20 years ago! I went to Martinsville spring race, just to get some of them in 2001, just after we lost Dale Sr. and I'm fortunate enough to live only 30 miles or so from there! Ended up getting in for free and took a friend who had never been to a race, all I was originally going for was some of Dales last win cars, then we got in for free, so stayed just so the friend could experience a live race himself! Got to find me a few of these #48 Throwback diecast cars now, asap!
