- This video explains the necessity and method of mesh dependency study. The best mesh size is the coarsest mesh size with acceptable accuracy. This video explain how we can be sure that the mesh size is appropriate and the model in not mesh dependent.
Hello sir,
I have a hexahedral multi-block structured mesh in ICEM CFD, I got some results from this mesh.
Now, I have to do a mesh independence test.
Please tell me which is the correct way to increase the number of mesh elements:
Should I
1) Re-mesh the whole geometry with smaller element size
2) increase the number of nodes in each block.
3) increase the scale factor like 1.2 or 1.3 etc....
Thank you!
Thankyouu so much for sharing your knowlegde with us. ❤❤❤
thank you sir for sharing this helpful video, sir i have modeled hollow sphere subjected to internal radials displacement, and my question is about meshing in Abaqus, i don't know how to create 1 μm × 50 μm at the inner cavity
in radial direction and 100 μm × 50 μm at the
circumference
Please use meshing (seeding) borders. You can use this video:

Very informative Video
Thank you, this was useful
Gd job Sir
So here bias is not suitable? How would I do if I use a double hole size circle to partition a new region and just use finer mesh in this region? I want to use number of elements. Is it strange?

how did you calculate the % differences?
It is just the difference between two subsequent responses divided by the value of the first one.
What's the meaning of 10×10 mesh size
How to find how much the computational time is?
total elapsed time required for calculation process
