  • Governance models were developed by each Indigenous nation to control their citizens and establish normative behaviors. The Americas are replete with a variety of examples: from patriarchal and matrilineal-based societies to complex political systems governing multi-nation empires.

    I'm not certain about other nations in the Americas but in the eastern woodland they believed it was impossible to speak to the creator who lived in the sky world. You can't pray to God without the use of smoke to lift up your thoughts and birds could take your messages to the creator. So when you smoke it's important to be honest and have good thoughts.

      You mean like burning people at the stake which could and did take days to kill the victim? Or biting off their fingers one joint at a time? Or maybe eating their enemies in battle? No the natives weren't concerned with harmony in their hearts and minds. The facts of history prove otherwise

    Why does Hianwatha look like Kevin Nealon? Guess it’s hard to find native actors.

    Peacemaker probably existed in some respect or other but the timeline of when the uniting of the tribes occurred is almost impossible to know since it’s all oral history and when the population gets decimated so badly it becomes even more difficult for the oral histories to be passed down

    We could argue that the term "medieval" applies only to European History, European Continent.

    My grandmother was born in Cherokee reservation land in Oklahoma I was asking home once what language spoke when she was little and she said Iroquois.

    • @woodspirit98
      @woodspirit98 Год назад +3

      There is no Iroquois language. There is mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga Seneca and Tuscarora languages. You could say there were other Iroquoian languages also but no Iroquois language.

    Great title! To be even more "accurate" you could have called this:
    Hianwatha: "The Ancient Bloody Grudge Of The Iroquois Chiefs....and the Vikings traded goods in Europe and the Middle East 1200 years ago" 🤣🤣🤣

      It's a scientific fact that other than registered full Native ppl and tribes, Mexicans, including Mexican Americans, carry more Native DNA than any other group. Mexico carries more full Native tribes and Native languages than any other country and South America ain't no slouch either! Ignorant ppl, Mexican/Latino, some of us have more blood quantum than is needed to be in a tribe! These ppl don't know much, but quick to talk crap!

      @jonnyneace8928You find them everywhere, on any foreign site, any subject. How many tens or hundreds of thousands? And they all sound like the same person. Toxic, poison, discord, dichotomous thinking, narrow-small minds, negative, contrary - the smart mouth that gets their jaw busted in the bar. So they're behind the safety of a keyboard. They try to bring down the vibe. What an existence.
