If you want to store I'd be lifting them with a trowel or fork so as not to damage the neck .Lovely harvest 🙂You did the stringing right ,you always dry them upside down first ,great job !

@@TheMalcolms7Had a surprisingly good year despite the weather .Ive a freezer full of celery, french beans and tomato sauce and sacks of potatoes grown in buckets .Ive just strung up my red onions .Like you I grow in my back garden in 18 beds .Its amazing how many crops you can harvest in a small place .Been growing for 40 years now 😊
@susiespearing6165 wow 😮 That's incredible. You are right about how much you can grow in a small space. I grow in most of my borders. Allowing space for my kids to play. It's tricky striking a balance ⚖️ We've been doing this for 4 years now and we love it 👩🏾🌾 We've made pickled courgettes, blackberry jam and we will harvest dried runner beans too. We didn't have a huge amount of onions but we will try a bigger crop next year. We are waiting to harvest around 4 pumpkins. Overall it's been a great year for us too 😊
Hiya Well I'm not sure how long they can survive for. It's been a week and a half now. I will let you know how long they keep for. I will keep a couple for an experiment. They taste so good though 🤤😋
