Quick update! 1. Yes, DDD Caesar is a special summon negate (oops), doesn't change anything about my recommendations 2. Like I said, there are so many possibilities for end boards. I prefer not using Desirae as its easier to lose to the same cards as the current endboard (unless they have a trap like Black Goat Laughs or a spell like wanted, then they can chain Desirae to negate cards like dark ruler/droplet) 3. The format will evolve and the lists will change (especially after Nats) so I'll update more when it's time! Hope you enjoyed it!
One choke point you didn’t talk about. If you only open a single copy of imperm or veiler, just save it for when they summon Promethean princess. They have usually gone through flamberge eff, and they won’t be able to get it off the field unless they have extenders.

@@Chackothewacko in play testing, players I played against used one engine fully to bait out hand traps, then used the other. But if they start with snake eye and don’t make the fiendsmith boss, this still works very well.
If you Imperm the Princess, the Fire lock will no longer be live, so they can link off for any other card of their ExDeck with it just by having any body alongside Princess (which will always be the case)

Obviously it’s better to just have more hand traps. But I’m saying it’s the most optimal choke point in the combo for a veiler or imperm.
It’s not only the best deck, it is also the embodiment of everything that is wrong with Konami and their way of handling yugioh products and treating their customers.
I once saw a RUclips comment that basically pointed out that the reason Konami doesn't use any of their IPs other than Yugioh anymore is because Yugioh players are the only people on the planet stupid enough to still be giving Konami their money.

No matter how much Konami drives Yugioh into the ground, no matter how much they openly despise you, you're too attached to the hobby to ever seriously consider not continuing to give them your money. In fact, it's almost entirely positive because it'll free up a ton of space in the TCG market for new, potentially better games to take Yugioh's place. This applies to MTG too. They're both literal tumors that stopped being good years ago yet crowd out fresh blood by sheer brand recognition.

How 2 beat snake-eye fiendsmith Step 1: Play a deck that can play through 3 handtraps that your opponent will have Step 2: Win the die roll and go first Step 3: if you have ignored steps 1-2 and are going second, open 3 handtraps Step 4: have the remaining cards in your hand be one card starters, and draw an extender that also gets you to full combo Step 5: play your starter and when they negate it with the board they were able to make through 3 handtraps, use your extender you drew to go off and make your full combo anyways. Alternatively, if you opened 4 handtraps, you may be able to skip this step and simply play your one card full combo and win the game. (Results may vary they might make full board through 4 handtraps anyways) This shit so easy to do bro idk why people complaining about this deck it's literally so easy to beat just do that every game
I'm not optimistic about the upcoming banlist. the low rarity of moon of the closed sky just screams we will ban that and keep milking fiendsmith for money kinda sad a cool card will take the fall for another version of snake eyes just for being a light fiend and nothing to do with its effect
I’m on Gravekeepers and usually just slap them with 3 raigekis and a dream and their follow up means nothing going second. Going first is basically an auto win assuming you’re on Lancea + solemns. It’s honestly really funny it’s like Tear format all over again

Stealing Monsters is exremely useful against Snake Eyes. My experience is, they almost always go full combo even though I handtrap them so I often side Change of Heart and Snatch Steal and they're doing great.
I feel like the reason people say snake eye is stronger is because tear allows you to play while snake eye won't, even though the result of you losing is the same
I love this format actually, been destroying yubels (another accomplice of fiendsmith) with runick clear world. It's a very deceptive honey trap deck and if you can ensnare the yubel player, they are powerless had three of them rage quit when they played me. Have yet to test against Snake-Eye Fiendsmith but glad only three people at my locals are dumb enough to plunk the money on overpriced engravers
They need a s/t to chain to Dark Ruler, and there isn't anything suitable except Wanted or random floodgates (and to main deck floodgates they'd have to play less hand traps).
