@@BrandonBames I'm in the process of beginning a Moroccan-type roof garden, with a pavilion & small trees. I have views of the Med & Corsica, looking down a vast valley. My rooftop bedchamber has just undergone a facelift, with more art & books, so I can sit as a solitary & lord of all I survey. It rules indeed. hello where can I find historical reference about this place
Maybe by "historic" they simply mean that someone has lived in already. Reality in that part of town rarely goes deeper than faux finishes and rock veneer.
I’ll see if I can find any info for you. I shot this video tour for a family member and he informed me all about the historical details of this house, that of which I don’t remember enough of to sound knowledgeable haha.
You did a great job with the video, by the way. You can almost feel its oldness. Yes, some details would be nice. Certainly, it isn't older than La Casa Vieja. If it goes back to the 20's, which I doubt, I suppose that you could call it "historic" by Valley standards (though not by the rest of the world's standards). Now, if something noteworthy happened in it (like a president slept there or Barry Goldwater lived there), it might be worth considering historic in a limited local way. The word "historic" is overused in the Valley, mostly because the Valley has so little history in the normal space-time continuum recognized by people of European descent. Regarding Scottsdale, particularly North Scottsdale, you must admit that there is a lot of veneer - both literally and emotionally. I'm very familiar with the people in that part of the Valley. Some are excellent people - kind, giving, humble. But very many are rude, ruthless, arrogant, spoiled, and wouldn't know a real piece of art if their decorator didn't identify it for them. And usually even their decorators don't know. LOL. The wealthier parts of the Valley are like Thomas Kincade paintings - immaculately groomed, sterile, reeking of artificiality, and most often without soul. (There are exceptions, of course.) But thanks for your kind words!

Why do you guys always have the water running in every shot there is a sink or shower/bath in every single house tour? I am always curious if in doing so it actually does anything. It seems like a silly waste and kinda awkward that nobody is in the rooms but every faucet is running. Just a thought that I finally had to express after watching nearly a hundred or so (fabulous, by the way) mansion or estate tours.
It adds movement to the scene.
