Congratulations! My parents got married in a courthouse. And they are still married for 52 years. It's sad that some people liquidate their bank account and take out huge loans to fund a lavish royal wedding and go into debt. And guess what? Ain't been married for 3 years and they're already separated or divorced. And STILL paying for that wedding. Owing more than what they paid because of late fees and high interest.
Sad but true.

My fiancé and I, will be getting married at the courthouse on January 26, 2021. (It’s also our anniversary, we’ll be together for 7 years). Then when it warms up again; during the spring or summer. We will have a very small/micro wedding with close friends and family. There will be less than 50 people. My sisters will will be my bridesmaids, our daughter and nieces will be the flower girls. My brother Uriah, will be the ring bearer. Both of my parents, will walk me down the aisle. I know it’s sorta untraditional, but they both made me. After, all of these years, I’m super excited to being getting married to my man/ child’s father

is anybody else crying!!!? OMG this was so special and just what I needed to see. I was so against courthouse weddings. This is the first video I decided to watch and now I can't wait to marry my soon to be hubby at the courthouse in March. Idk what it is about your video but God said to watch it and not I am assured. I'm just picturing my fiance and I standing up there saying I do with no pressure or missing intimacy, just us. And that how it will be and continue to be. God Bless you and your husband!!

We literally cancelled our huge weddinf venue/reception because 1. We both have anxiety and 2. Waste of money! 3. We want a house 4. We want a dope honeymoon! It looks amazing to see you get married YOUR way! Blessings

i feel so much easier after seeing this video!! financial reasons aside, i could never imagine having a big (or even small) wedding ceremony since i don't like being the center of attention and i'd also become extremely anxious. i'd much rather get married at a courthouse, feels more private and personal.

Congrats on the wedding! Somewhat of a personal questions here. Why did you two decide to get married as opposed to just living together? I notice nowadays, particularly among people 35 and under that fewer people are getting married and I'm curious to know if it's cultural, financial, class, religious or some other reason.
Thank you! For us it was a mixture of all of those things. We have been together since 2009 since we were 18 marriage felt like the natural progression for our relationship. Religiously for myself I do not believe in a live in boyfriend. I wouldn’t say it was a cultural decision as most members of my family do not choose marriage. Financially things didn’t change much. The only change there is that I was able to be added as a spouse on health insurance through his employer which was a lower rate than my previous insurance.

Yesss and we had no idea who would be officiating that day! It was him probably because everyone decided to take dec. 31 off so he stepped in lol! Not many people can say their wedding officiant is now the first black mayor of Montgomery lol!
