I've read that milunka actually adopted around 20 kids and raised them basically if she found a child on the streets she took them home and raised them.
also before she was taken into the camp the German officers apparently new her from the first world war and after they invaded asked her to join a dinner with the top brass of Germany and she straight refused because she didn't like them.

the reason the history bit was quick is because most of her stories come from word of mouth for instance Flora Sandes a British ambulance driver who accidentally got enrolled into the Serbian army over a paperwork mix-up and met malunka and said she would get bandaged up then as soon as the doctors backs were turned she would stick her uniform on and leave for the front,

@@bigenglishmonkey Flora Sandes wasn't an ambulance driver, she was a major in Serbian army. And there was no mix-up, she volunteered into Serbian army because the British would only let her be an ambulance driver.

Ye, but the sad part is she was literally homless after Balkan wars, and the King gave some land property without a house only 8 years after, far away from the place she lived.
They didnt give her even military retirment payment, until communist decide so 1945. This is a paradox cause in ww2 communists and white guardians from ww1 were in war, but this woman obviosly was well respected everywhere and never dealt with politics. And she didnt want participate in ww2 i guess cause she knew it contains brotherly civil bloodshed too.
Also 1 year before the death the communist state gave her a flat on 4th floor of a building without an elevator.
She had a brain stroke several times, so i guess she couldnt move normaly.
And we all agree in those times people were much more moral and brave than today, but they were also more beasts.
This woman obviosly fought cause of her ideals, not expecting anything, otherwisei guess she would ask.
But today times are different, today a mercenery military can get load of cash, still the consequences can be dangerous.
Psyological trauma and becoming dangerous for society and family.
I dont suggest anyone to go to war willingly

    Love from Serbia,
thank you very much for this video.
I'm only sorry that when Serbs sing about their heroes, they call us nationalists, and then foreign groups and artists have to sing about them. All the best to Sabaton, I wish them many more good songs. I wish you all the best

Have you done Night witches animated STORY video? IF not you should react to it. Also about women in war

  • @jafissherse8137
    @jafissherse8137 2 года назад +8

The number of women fighting as soldiers is more common than you might imagine. In Poland, Lithuania and Belarus the most famous is Emilia Plater, she fought in the November Uprising of 1830-1831 against the Russian Empire. She was a captain in the Polish insurgent forces.
And a more recent one - Wanda Gertz, who fought in male disguise during World War I, and later the Polish-Soviet War and World War II.
And these are just two of the most famous.
Through history you will find more of them. After all, women love their homeland as much as men do. And just like men, they are ready to fight to defend their country.

Both songs, this one and Night Witches by Sabaton just show you how much woman could do if they had been equal to men from the start of civilisation .
How much could Roman women have done if allowed amongst the legions?
How much could European women have done if allowed in the Knights Templar or Hospitaller?
British women during the height of the Empire?
I'm no feminist but its been shown that women are just as capable of incredible acts as men are.

    Mulan?
    Please!
    It's a cartoon.
    Star wars, whichever? Garbage!
Milunka and Joan of Arch are the only "Mary Jane" women worthy.
All the rest are fictional garbage.
Both of these women suffered beyond imagination for their amazing service.
If men or women need a mentor, these are two to study!

Honestly, I have a problem with Sabaton.Always just war? Sure, protest songs against war are good and important.I'm also fully involved, but these are not protest songs by Sabaton.I just don't want to listen exclusively to songs about war and its history.

@@ratrakksstar4420 I agree with you completely. Sometimes I even listen to a song by them. I just wouldn't buy an album or go to one of their concerts. That would just be too much war for me. It's not that I hate the band, I just can't listen to this mass of these songs at once.

    • @jessicakoster2543

Funny, for me it's just the other way around.
I don't watch, read or listen to anything war related.
But I'm starting to love Sabaton.
I feel they're not protesting war, but making sure certain certain people and stories live on.
They're too important to be forgotten.
Especially during the last two years, when mankinds behaviour towards each other was at an ultimate low, Sabatons songs reminded me there is still good left in the world.
