I lost my GS 3 and a half year ago now and it was like I lost my baby, still not over it, will never be and when she said that I teared up a bit at the thought of not seeing the Drogba and Juno and how Jack and Jamie will be so heart broken..hopefully a long way away ...it's the only bad thing about having them is that we don't have the privilege of having them longer 💔

@@mrussell3264 I’m very sorry for your loss. I know first hand the devastation, heartache and pain we feel when we lose a fur baby. I lost my chihuahua in may of 2019 and sometimes it feels just like yesterday. I wish you comfort and happy memories ❤️🕊

Book hangovers are the worst! I get so sad and its hard to get into something new because I don't think it will live up to the books I just finished. I always thought it was just me. Glad to know I'm not alone in this!

Throne of Glass is an amazing series!! I actually read it before ACOTAR and I was obsessed with how well SJM tied together plot points from books 0.5 & 1 -> books 6/7. I hope you love it!
Another recommendation: Zodiac Academy series doesn’t fill the ACOTAR void completely, but I’ve been hooked on it all the same. 🥰

This past summer, my wife and I did one of the Lego Art things. It was the one of Marilyn by Andy Warhol. Different type of Lego experience but sooo satisfying. There are four patterns you can do but they don't all come in the same box so we bought a second one but haven't started it yet. We did it at our camper when it was raining. Heaven on Earth.

Watching Jamie put together the Lego Hogwarts castle…for Christmas this year my boyfriend got me a 1000 piece Little Mermaid puzzle! I have spent so many hours so far putting it together that I actually find it relaxing 😌
When Hamie talked about her babies going to Heaven, it just broke me to pieces! I have three kitty babies that are my complete heart and soul! I love them up and snuggle them to bits and I always think about them leaving us and going to Heaven!!😭 it’s so bitter sweet! They give us sooo much joy and love and they complete us! When they leave us, it’s such a huge and heavy void in our lives and their places in our hearts will never be filled! BUT! Our hearts will ALWAYS have room for more love and more fur babies! If you have fur babies, love them up extra good!! And always know that they will be waiting for you in Heaven and you will be together again 💕🥰😻

Also, ACOTAR left a gaping hole in my soul when I finished, I read it twice last year 😅 if you need something to fill the void you can also read Nesta’s book. Hard to get through at the start but is also a good read. All the smut 😉

I actually preferred Throne of Glass to ACOTAR! Some other fantasy books I loved this year were: the From Blood and Ash series (the series isn't complete yet), The Witch Collector, and the Savage Lands Series. And ones I haven't read yet but are on my list are: The Cruel Prince, These Hollow Vows, Bridge Kingdom, The Atlas Six, The Song of Achilles

If you loved ACOTAR but are worried about finding TOG boring (which, I thought the first one was but then found it picked up as you move through the series), definitely try the first book in SJM’s Crescent City series, House of Earth and Blood!! It was technically her first novel published as adult fantasy rather than YA and also heavily features ~wings~ if you know what I mean. The second book releases in Feb!

Seeing the dogs today makes me happy and sad. Happy because they're so cute and I love seeing them every week. Sad because my cousin's 4yr old German shepherd passed away recently. They found out she had cancer and she died a few weeks later. It happened so quickly. So devastating 💔 Animals are such a blessing in so many ways 💕

I just binged the three A touch of darkness books - they’re full of smut, a bit crap but it filled a brief ACOTAR void. It’s about hades and Persephone.
I also did the wings of fury/crown of cinders books, they were pretty good.
Emily R King’s into the hourglass series is good too (I can’t remember which is the first one) but there’s three.

Have you tried the mortal instruments series by Cassandra Clare? That was the series that left me with the biggest book hangover, inhaled them.
I've also been spending after Christmas doing lego the mandalorian set - but in isolation 🙃 - the vlog is exactly what i needed today and i am currently looking at ordering ACOTAR.....

Jamie! You need to read Ken Follets Pillars of the Earth and the following books! It's the best series ever. Everyone I have ever bought it for has LOVED it! TOG is the BEST series. I'd say its way better than ACOTAR, but others may say otherwise. I'd say it takes a while to get into TOG. Think it starts getting good after chapter 3... but its been ages so don't quote me on that. You wont regret reading the series. Please do!
If you haven’t read the From Blood and Ash series, I definitely recommend it! I’m reading it after finishing the ACOTAR series and it definitely kept me out of a reading slump!

I got a Lego Architecture Tokyo skyline. I love it so much. It’s not quite as big as Hogwarts but I love it! It’s a bit of a fancy decor piece now too!

Throne of Glass is amazing , the character build up is great. Although I think the ending could have been a lot better the overall series is wonderful. ACOTAR is just ok to me. I read the first book but it really hard to get through the second one.

I work at cameron house and from the 23rd until the 2nd was the worst time of year lol everyone got covid so no staff and hundreds of people booked in to stay! Chrimbo limbo everyone and there granny wanted to stay so yeah I didn't get that haha xx
