- If you're like us, one of the most important parts of traveling is the FOOD. Here we list the top 6 restaurants in the Destin area to help you plan your upcoming trip!!!
Added bonus- Zach tries oysters and Deanna tries gator!!!
Thanks for the donut recommendation! I went to Parlor’s because of this video alone
I love hearing this! Our friends are locals and turned us on to this!
McGuires is excellent. Love The Back Porch and those Parlor Donuts looked great. Live here so we get to enjoy these places all the time.
Maguire's may have been our favorite. The steak was delicious! We need to try the back porch!!
The Back Porch is a must-stop for lunch upon arrival spot for us. It's tradition, love it. Now I want their bronzed grouper sandwiches, dang it!!!
Love this! McGuires is at the top of my list!
McGuire’s is great stuff! Appetizers there are the best!
@@HolidayRoadTravel I
Kkkkk
The Back Porch is a classic!! Very popular… Great food. sorry you missed it!
Next time for sure!
Parlor doughnut are a favorite❤️❤️❤️ Pensacola has them too!
Sooooo good!
I want to go back to Destin Florida
I love it there! Beaches are incredible, right??
Now way the “fuck joe Biden” was in the video on accident lol
LOL! It was. We should have done a better job of screening what was written everywhere. Check out the bizarre quote at the end to the left of where we sign our names. That’s another winner Lolol
Very beautiful my dear God bless you
My coworkers love Parlor Donuts.
Your first stop was in Fort Walton Beach? 😂
Thanks for the video. You need to branch out on your next trip. Crab trap and Pompano Joes are hardly the best in the area. McGuires is always a good value for the quality and the portions.
We’ve got a whole list to try next time!
@@HolidayRoadTravel Add these to it - Asiago Skillet over on Okaloosa Island for breakfast one morning (get there early, they close at noon and fill up quick), also over on the island, Stewby's Seafood Shack (you can thank me later, hidden gem, great fresh seafood at really decent prices, they have a steamer shop next door if you like a steamed seafood pot, and they have a fish market), and you can't miss AJ's on the harbor. Sit up top and watch the boats go by. Their oysters are great, I like the ones that are covered in cheese and topped with a jalapeno slice. Have a great time! I go back in a little over 2 months, 2nd time down this year, and I cannot wait!
@@rogercollins3 Also a local here, and Roger is spot on with these 2 and let me add the Shack in Fort Walton Bch as well.
@@gangtra48 Thanks David! We visited the Shack for our first dinner during our trip down in May (we stayed in Mary Esther), and loved it. Cute place, great staff. I'm bringing my 20 year-old son down for his first visit here in about 3 weeks, and I can't wait to show him the area. We both are so excited. If you have any other local recommendations as to places to eat please let me know. Thanks!
Ha good thing I’m going here soon (:
Nice! Hopefully it’s a little warmer than when we went, but definitely try to check out some of these spots! :) food was GREAT. We’ve got another video on some of the non-food stuff we did posted as well! Enjoy your time there man!
y’all should try world of beer at destin commons they have great food
Adding to our list!
i agree with most of this list, but AJ'S and LuLu's need to be on here as well.
Never been to either of those but definitely adding to the list!!
Harbor Docks
Ugh...you should have titled this, "the most popular tourist trap restaurants in Destin."
Next time you visit Destin, try the legitimate top restaurants.
Start with:
- Boshamp's
- Seagar's
- Louisiana Lagniappe
- Bijoux
- Marina Cafe
How was Rockin tacos not on this list
Definitely in the top 10!!
pompano Joes is VERY hit or miss! Even the staff complain that its not consistent at all! Plus, they almost doubled there pricing since covid! (I lived across the street from Pomps for 2 years). Pomps is for drinks on the sand! But the food is way overpriced, and not up to par at all! All locals know this! The big 5 restaurants on the sand (Pomps, crab trab, Surf hut, and the rest on the water, in that area, are ALL owned by same company, and that company can not STOP people from showing up! so they dont care about reviews, pricing, quality waitresses, nothing! Its an absolute cash cow, that has NO problems getting new customers each year! 3.5 million people visit Destin each year, and Pomps does not need loyal customers! and it shows. The best spots are inland, imho. These beach spots are for the right to DRINK in front of their business, on the sand! Thats it.
Pompano Joe's should be #1!
Haha we do love Pompano Joes!
The Gulf on Okaloosa
terrible choices except for Mcguires
Mcguires seems to be the local favorite, but we were guided to all of these by our friends who live in FWB and we certainly can’t say we were disappointed!
