34067 Tangmere yet again at Carlisle 11 06 24

- We are, of course, spoilt at Carlisle, seeing more steam trains than anywhere else in Britain, so perhaps shouldn't be so prone to moaning about the frequency with which 34067 rolls into the Citadel. Some greater variety would be welcome however, and it would be good to see genuine steam-age carriages behind a steam locomotive rather than the modern air-conditioned stock which tends to be the norm at present. Let's hope that West Coast Railways can sort out their central door-locking problem soon.
My regular viewers know that I'm without my powerful computer at present and am having to use a laptop which struggles with 4K video, as well as older and more limited editing software. That's why you may spot some failures to accurately synchronise aerial video with ground-based sound - not too serious, I hope.
Good aerial shots Tim. We are lucky to see so much up this way even if it is Tangmere again. Would be nice to see Galatea back running in red someday.👍👍

I have only managed to see this loco the once. . .that was a while ago at Duffield, Derbyshire. I must get about more! 🤔
As you'll have gathered, we've seen rather a lot of it recently and would welcome a bit more variety but - hey - we're awash with steam charters here at Carlisle so let's count our blessings. I could have been based in Stranraer which hasn't seen any sort of railway train for many months now.
Ah Tangmere, we shouldnt complain. I was surprised how much I got out of being on or around the station for its visit. The ound for the drone shots were fine. You even caught a certain youtuber crossing the road on St Nicholas bridge!

Very nice, hopefully, 35018 British India line will make an appearance soon. I see that has been running!
Thanks James. BIL - a great favourite of mine - I love the Bulleid rebuilds but have never been a great fan of the original "spam cans".
Tangmere may be a regular visitor but as you say we should not moan too much we are lucky to see so many steam charters. The drone views still look good. Tangmre was not making much dark smoke this time. I wonder if they found some better coal.
- - or might it just be that the fireman hadn't piled so much coal into the firebox just before setting off? When filming from the air I can't see or hear what he's up to on the footplate.
The Blue Pullman video should be online tomorrow morning - I think you'll like the aerial shots of that along the coast.
@@schoolshorts Could be. They do pile a lot in normally so there is less heat at first, I see one shovel full going in while on the move this time. Looking forward to the Blue Pullman. I missed out on going to York on Wednesday having a new window fitted 2 x class 20 hauling a Peak.
I should get used to Bullieds there are now at least 12 working! 9 West Country/Battle of Britain's and 3 Merchant Navy's.
Splendid news - but Carlisle is LMS territory so it would be nice to see something occasionally which is actually at home here.
Where is Galatea based Tim be nice to see her back on the main line is she getting repaired
If tangmere is recently fired up - they will keep it on low steam instead of firing up a new one
She's certainly earning her keep at present.
