- Great talk by Shodo Harada Roshi on enlightenment experience. These are the most essential instructions in Zen. Observe carefully how he describes the insights into “no self” and the seeing from the “inner eye.”
Fantastic! Thank you for sharing
Thanks, Richard. This is so valuable.
just listening to this showed me the way, simply, clearly THANKYOU
Way? You meant no way! If you think you see the way and if you believe that's the way then don't go there! There is no way because you are already that which you are seeking for! You are already an enlightened being. The mind that thinks that found the Buddha is the Buddha. You're already a Buddha. There is no way so don't go there. Just in this very moment you are already enlightened. Now this is the way! But don't follow this as well🤗🙏
@@ole01 if you go the way it will take you many lifetimes to arrive! You are already that whic you are seeking for! It's here and now. And there is no others to disturb!🙏❤🤗
@@ole01 check Google what does "I attained nothing" means!!! After enlightened Buddha said "I attained "nothing" because he just realized that he has been enlightened already! That's real enlightened. It's ot a process it's a realization! You are already enlightened. You will understand this after you "attained" it but for now keep going on the way which is an illusion!🤗❤🙏
@@ole01 if you realized that there is no path to enlightenment and if you "enlightened" then do whatever you want because you already know that you are not the doer but if you are seeking for k8nd of enlightenment then I would say don't bother, don't do anything because you already are. But also if you need to do anything to realize that you are already enlightened then of course you will do it then it will be you path. But for me "as an enlightened being" (which is an illusion anyway) whoever seeks the path I would say there is no path! Just sit where you are and you are already the Buddha❤🙏
@@ole01 disciple asked; where are we going?
Master replied; we already arrived🙈🙏
thank you for helping me dispel some misconceptions and uncertentanties i had. I know what i must strive to be now, thank you!
You don't know what you must strive for! If you knew it you wouldn't strive for it! There is nothing to strive for! If you think you see the way and if you believe that's the way and you "have to strive for" then don't go there! There is no way because you are already that which you are seeking for! You are already an enlightened being. The mind that thinks that found the Buddha is the Buddha. You're already a Buddha. There is no way so don't go there. Just in this very moment you are already enlightened. Now this is the way! But don't follow this as well🤗🙏
Thank you for your entire continual wisdom, influence with training to hold up my exploration to turning out to be more consciously aware combined with spiritually connected.
🙏
Thank You!
Such presence.
There is nothing that's not "such presence" if you are such presence🤗🙏

It's a good job he went to the mountains otherwise he wouldn't have met that person. Going "astray" is simply another stage in the process of circumambulation. Ill thoughts should be exhausted, how else do we discover they're ill thoughts/decisions.
Some come to sesshin to strive, some come for vacation, some come just for the exercise and to lose a few pounds, some come to prepare for dying or to mourn their departed loved ones, nevertheless 'when two or more are gathered in my Name there am I', if the Buddha were alive what would he be doing? Just such a practice. So how is he not there?
Wonderful
That ego filter and egoic mind is also enlightened if you don't see that you're not an enlightened🙏 but even though you don't see that I would say you're an enlightened because if I don't say that it means I'm not enlightened. But even though I didn't say it I'm still enlightened. So in conclusion "there's nothing that is not enlightened"🤗🙏
Nope.
1991, Cloud Mountain, film by Michael Yeager
Thanks. I did not know the original source. I just felt it was worthwhile.
@@RichardClarkeAdvaita I am so glad you posted it. I attended this week long Sesshin (meditation retreat) in September 1991 at Cloud Mountain Retreat center near Vancouver Washington with Harada Roshi. Those of us who showed up for the retreat were asked to sign a waiver in order to be filmed. It came out 1992 by Mr. Michael Yeager of Knowledge Path Productions. The wonderful teacher and Roshi's translator Daichi Priscilla Storandt, an American ordained nun (Zenni) and Roshi who has lived monastically in Japan since 1971, was the translator, and my friend Jon Grossman did the shakuhachi music. The VHS is out of print and hard to find so when it began appearing on RUclips we were thankful. ☸. Harada Roshi and Daichi Roshi still come to USA to teach at Tahoma Sogenji Zen Monastery on Whidbey Island, WA.

The real part is to take what these words are pointing to and so go beyond the words.........
Yes! 🙏
It also includes words. 'It' doesn't exclude.
Satori from listening to this.
Nope.
Is the full interview available?
Yes. It's a one hour video called Man on Cloud Mountain, filmed in September 1991 at Cloud Mountain Retreat Center in Washington State. Created by Michael Yeager, Translation by Priscilla Storandt, Music by Jon Grossman. We were 50 people at Sesshin at that time. It's a joke for someone who knows he/she is already enlightened and nothing to be done🤗🙈
