    Are you going to replant the grassy spots in this alfalfa field? I'm seeing many more hay farmers going in and filling in the grassy spots.

    Don't know how you can bale alfalfa in 3 days. It usually takes 4 here in south central Ky.

      It really depends on the humidity and weather --- ideally we would love to put it up in 3 days -- mow, rake bale -- but with the last few summers we have had the humidity is really playing a huge factor into putting up top quality alfalfa ..and that is out of my hands -- we are working on maybe adding a Tedder to the mix to see if that also helps dry down time with the stems

      Thanks. I have a tedder it helps just have to tedder while soft. About what percentage is the moisture when you rake?@@ChroniclesofKayla

    Why did u switch from JD to MF was it economics or practically of tractors

    • @ChroniclesofKayla
      @ChroniclesofKayla  2 месяца назад +1

      More or less it came down to the fact that MF knows HAY, and that’s the name of our business - - reliability, comfort & visibility of the tractors is a key component… we’ve ran 2 different 1840s prior to the 1842s and have ran AgCo balers since 2012.
