Thank you Emily. You're honestly the only reason I keep reading. I don't think you know how much these videos mean to us. Please keep doing what you're doing!
Emily, thank you for posting all your videos this month. I know it’s a lot of effort on your part, but you do a great job! Great ‘end of the year’ stats and I can’t wait to hear about your upcoming reads.
I think "Reading with Emily Fox" is a good bookclub name. Easy to remember, find and understand that it's your bookclub. I just found your channel and I really enjoy all your videos :)
Thank You Emily for a great video! It's so nice to see a BookTuber talking about different books that you don't always necessarily hear of very often. I have read a few books at your recommendation and have loved all of them. Keep being you 💜
I read 16 books this year (excluding all the reading I did for university) and I'm so happy about it. I went through years of reading slump so I am really happy to be back to reading. I am also very tempted to go on Goodreads to take part in your bookclub. Loved your video!
I finally created an account on Goodreads thanks to you! Can't wait to join your bookclub. This year I hope to get back to reading on a regular basis, to finish the Rougon-Macquart series, read more classics and have fun of course!
One of my favorite things that you do is when you read books that become 'hidden gems'. I have picked up a few books because you made them sound intriguing, when they aren't super popular books. I would love to see you do that kind of thing maybe every few months. It's just really nice that you do books you like but not necessarily ones everyone is doing.
Happy New Year from the UK! Loved seeing your reading stats wrap up, I have a book shelf across the back of the sofa and am challenging myself to read everything on there this year
102 books is pretty impressive, Emily! I'm pretty nerdy about my book stats too. Speaking of which, I read almost exclusively SFF myself. The last few years it's been like 85-90%.
Happy New Years Emily! Just wanted to tell you that you’re probably my favourite RUclipsr. I watch both of your channels and you just calm me down in hectic times. Thank you so much for that. I hope 2019 will be a happy and successful year for you
I'm going to miss your daily uploading... But I understand the struggle, so it's all good! Happy new year from Greece ❤️

Ooh, I'm excited for your favourite first contact with aliens video! And I loved the live, it was super fun. Hope you've had some rest now and feel better!
Foxhole was the best comment. Or reading with Emily. Also can't wait for reading vlogs! They don't need to be so... Polished. Each is unique, and it never gets boring like the favourites or tropes because usually people talk about the same books there.
i have literally been excited for this video since last year’s video. i love these types of videos, especially when they come from you. this motivates me to read more in 2019! thank you, Emily, and happy new year :)
reflecting on goals is so important because what's the point in making them if you don't follow up on them? love these stats videos you do, it's how i found your channel last year in the first place!
I love a book stat video every now and then! Love the depth of this! I love my library and was on the way to becoming a volunteer, but they've had to hold the application cause my area is struggling against the government at the moment as they want to make cuts! I've been really consistent, trying to take out more books, in the hopes that it will save them! :(
Your goals for the channel sound awesome! I also looked back at the year and started to realize that I was forcing myself to read books because I "should" instead of because I want to. I am going to make 2019 a year of fun and interesting books. P.S. I don't care which camera you use, it'll be great!
Hi Emily, would love to see more of you! Looking forward to seeing more posts and reading vlogs. Use whatever camera you have, your content will stay amazing no matter what. :) Happy New Year!
I'm so excited about your series about reading popular books! For the camera thing, while the informality of vlogging is fun and a nice change-up, to me the most important and interesting part is just the updates and getting fresh opinions as people read things because it is more in depth and also because it's interesting to see how opinions change over time.
It would be great if you could eventually do a "guide to Brandon Sanderson"! Ever since watching your videos I've been interested... but honestly I don't know where to start with his books and it's a bit intimidating as I am not familiar with fantasy. Thanks!
I love your videos!! (Even though fantasy/sci fi is my least fave genres 🤪) Maybe you can do a review after reading 3 of a similar genre, I think BooksandLala does a “Three thriller” review similar to this!
Please, miss Fox, read these ones: -One Hundred Years of Solitude (Gabriel García Márquez, 1967) -The Time of the Hero (Mario Vargas Llosa, 1962) -The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle (Haruki Murakami, 1994) Love your content. :D
A popular sci-fi woman author is Octavia E. Buttler, I read Dawn two years ago and its was a really strange read but at the same time interesting, you should try it!
I want a video with your favorite tropes with recommendation. Especially the 'keeps repeating their lives over and over again', because I am soooo into that! Also, hey you only read 10.000 pages more than me, haha^^ I'm going to use the spreadsheet for fanfictions, because I read A LOT of it but can never know how many, or how long because there's no Goodreads for fanfics, but yeah I def need to keep track of it!
I totally feel you on loving your library but hating the wait! I find out about a cool book (whether it be from you or somewhere else), head over to my library, see the 300 holds on it and go straight to The Book Depository 😂
I'm glad you talk about the library a lot. I used to spend a fortune on books, and then to save money I went through a phase of rereading my old books all the time. But in hearing you mention the library I realized that I had three nearby, and decided to check them out. Between my library and Book Outlet I've saved a ton of money on books this year.
Some are from Goodreads (they give you some in "your 2018 year in books" and some on your profile under your shelf there's "stats"). The rest is from an excel sheet (I linked one in the description box)
I'm new to watching this channel but I'd like to suggest the Wool trilogy by Hugh Howey if you haven't already! It's sci-fi/dystopian and they're all really long books and they're so good
I’m happy that overdrive still works, because Libby won’t let me borrow more than one book at a time per month. But if I access through overdrive, I can still borrow more books (max two at the same time). (Denmark)
Any content from you is great content ☺️ congrats on meeting so many of your goals! I think something you could improve in 2019 would be mentioning the lgbt+/poc/mental heal/disability representation in the books you read (or just the ones you recommend), I'm always more interested in a book, knowing it's diverse with it's characters and i'm sure others feel the same way.
Emily are you watching YOU or bird box on Netflix? If so what do you think about them? Would you ever do a video comparing the movie to the book? That would be such a cool idea!! It seems like just yesterday you were reviewing those books and you intrigued me to read them!!! 😍 love from your OG booktube subscriber ! Lol

She was recommended by a friend who said to read a book by her called Intervention first then move onto the Galactic Milieu series then move to Saga of the Exiles as they are all linked and that is the order my friend recommends to get the best reading experience the first time through as Saga of the Exiles does contain spoilers for Galactic Milieu. I have finished Intervention and Jack the Bodiless in 2018 and now I am on Diamond Mask and enjoying them.
I'll be checking some more reading stats out right now, but I did already check 3 though 1. I read 77 books last year 2. 13 of those where over 500 pages (I also have one honorable mention which was exactly 499 pages xD ) 3. longest book was 870 pages if I remember correctly which was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix but I will definetly check my stats about how many rereads I had and male/female authors and genre
Happy New Year!! :D You sound good. I hope 2019 brings you improved health so you feel good/better. You're so dedicated to what you do on your channels.

How about the Fox Den? :)
Emily, thank you for posting all your videos this month. I know it’s a lot of effort on your part, but you do a great job! Great ‘end of the year’ stats and I can’t wait to hear about your upcoming reads.
Thank you! Once a year it's definitely a fun challenge!
A big YES to the livestreams they aree sooo fun and interactive. Also would love to see a bookshelf tour!❤️
I think "Reading with Emily Fox" is a good bookclub name. Easy to remember, find and understand that it's your bookclub. I just found your channel and I really enjoy all your videos :)
i love how much sci-fi you read, it makes me incredibly happy bc i feel like no one on booktube reads sci-fi and its my absolute favorite genre :)
Sci-fi needs more love!!
My reading goals is to read at least 10big books, 8 classics, and 100 books in total. I really hope y’all achieve all your reading goals in 2019.

Your mid-year video inspired me to keep stats and now I have a super detailed spreadsheet and no one to show it to :P
Still fuuuuun! :D

Wahoo! Way to hit 100!
I hope you feel better quickly!
These are my favorite type of videos! I am obsessed with stats!
This is so interesting! I find stats to be so interesting, especially when they are related to reading.
i’m really glad you track your male/female ratios. i do that and POC/WOC authors too; definitely a sign to be more conscious of our reading habits!
I've been looking at that too (although didn't do the stats). I'm doing okay for modern authors but by reading classic sci-fi I'm ruining it a bit lol
totally go for the live discussions about books!!
I always love watching these videos at the end of the year! 🥰

good luck for next year! 💗
I love checking out my library sale! My library sale is $0.10 per book or as many as you can fit in a bag for $1 at the Halifax Libraries 😄
Emily, can you do a non fiction book suggestions video please? I'd love to read more nonfiction this year!

love this video! I've been considering making a booktube channel but I have very thin skin lol. Maybe ill make it my 2019 goal.
Your channel doesn't have to be a democracy... block delete anyone/anything you don't like!
I went to your beauty channel to see what you do over there and it was weird because I’ m used to watching to you talking about books 😄
