    Oooooh! Carbon fibre and MS shocks, very tasty! I'm getting more excited every time I see your DT03 coming together. Beautiful! :))

      Better do something different with this one, compared to my Neo Fighter. Love these shocks. Wondering if the towers are gonna be durable, but then again, not building a basher. Thanks a lot for following along, Mark.

      @@NordicRC Well mate, I've had no problems with the front carbon shock tower on mine, and it's been upside down many times! Fingers crossed for yours, I'm sure it will be fine! :)

    Sweet the Carbon Fiber Tower upgrade!! How all MS's should be equipped. Coming along nicely bro can't wait to see them all done and running!! :)

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  5 лет назад +1

      Yeah, heard some have trouble with the hard plastic stock towers (especially the front) so with this build I might as well try the carbon’s out. Left the tower mounts plastic so hopefully they will break instead of the towers if it should come to that 🙂 Hopefully I’ll get them out running before spring/next season, but everything is mud and rain right now in Denmark - especially here in the country side 🙂 Not really gonna run these in mud. It was easier back in the City to find some dry tarmac but out here impossible except for the narrow roads which aren’t good for anything other than speed runs. I am hoping for a dry and sunny 2020 🙂

      @@NordicRC I heard the same on the plastic towers bud. Good idea on keeping the plastic braces over the aluminum ones for giving it a break point besides the towers. I understand completely on the weather bro. Just got hit with 2 feet of snow yesterday and today so I'm in winter build mode now.. :(

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  5 лет назад +1

      Uhh, snow! ... not very practical but at least a little more winter-like than rain ... I bet your kids like it more at least ☺️

      @@NordicRC Well my step kids are 12 and 17 so they are more into videogames and friends then the snow. My boy likes to play in it still he's 10..lol

      Just start a snow ball fight with the 17 and 12 and they will forget their maturity ... just like we do when we get an RC transmitter in our hands 😊 Big kids you have. Soon you will have real time for RC’s again. I started in a late age with the kids so if I live long enough I can enjoy my retirement without work and diapers 😅

  • @PeteWylieRC

    Ooh you are certainly hopping that up to the max! I love the alu dampers. Was Just looking them up and they are rather expensive so maybe I'll stick with the plastic ones. Shame! Anyway nice work on the build Mikael. Looking great :-)

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  5 лет назад +1

      Yeah, expensive ones. But I got two second hand DT-02 MS’s for a good price a couple of years ago, so I didn’t pay full price for these 🙂 They are really perfect for these small ones, DF-02/03, DT-02/03 and TT-02B, though the plastic CVA’s for the DT-02 and DF-03 are pretty good too in my experience (the new similar CVA’s for the DT-03 and TT-02B got the cheap all-in-one-pistons that doesn’t work that great I think). I heard the alloy 3Racing DT-02/03 work great too, and at 1/3 of the Tamiya alloy price. A shame Tamiya charges so much for the alloy hop up options. Can’t be more expensive to manufacture than the 3Racing, Yeah Racing and GPM Racing. Uhh, sorry, for the waffling, Pete ☺️ And thanks a lot for watching, my friend.

    • @PeteWylieRC
      @PeteWylieRC 5 лет назад +1

      @@NordicRC Yeah I know what you mean about the Tamiya ones with the all in one piston. You can't adjust the damping other than with thicker oil. I think the buggies like these need slightly firmer damping than you get with those. I haven't tried the 3Racing ones but willing to give them a try. Yes, a shame about the cost of some of the Tamiya hop up bits but I guess a good money earner for them. Btw. I have seen more of the stages of this series and I let them play on the screen while doing my own tinkering. I don't always get round to commenting but I think I usually remember to give them a thumbs up. Keep up the good work my friend :-)

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  5 лет назад +1

      Yeah, and somehow the ones with the all in one piston doesn’t seem as smooth. Maybe the thing with the gap in the sides doesn’t work as well compared to the holes in the middle. Hmm. It’s strange. And a bit of a shame. When Tamiya get’s it right with the plastic CVA’s, the combination of piston, springs, length, they work perfect. The ones I got on my Vajra, regular CVA’s, are some of the best shocks I’ve tried (well, of course everything else on that truck doesn’t work great but that’s another story). Thanks a lot for watching, Pete. Makes me very glad 🙂

    Great job Mikael, and thanks a lot for sharing. These alloy MS shocks seem to be a real great upgrade 🎌 compared to the CVA. Thanks for the tips : i didn't know that's better to protect carbon fiber with glue 🤷‍♂️... take care and carry on like this your vids are still so good. Merci mon ami.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks, Alex. Yes, these are really my favorite shocks for the DF-02/03, DT-02/03 and TT-02B. About the Carbon fibre, nearly all my instructions tell me to glue the edges. I really dislike it. Not pretty 🙂 For this one I only glued the edges that are hard to reach once they are mounted. I’ll wait to glue the rest of the edges until the first real run where I expect it to roll over ☺️

    I think that tamiya tt03, has more options regarding the mechanical wing of the gears, in metal, I have a kyosho axxe and I have not seen the axes of the differential wings metal rims, I think that in general it is not suitable for brushless for a long time because after 32 km or 21 mph is likely to sweep gears or crown

    • @NordicRC

    Great build of the 03. Loved watching it take shape with the hop ups. How do you rate the Tamiya brushless motor?

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 года назад +1

      Thanks a lot for watching, Rich. It’s hard for me to be objective about the Tamiya motors. You know, for me, a Tamiya fan, the Tamiya label is a plus in itself. That being said, they work very well, and it’s genuine quality (never had a Tamiya motor or ESC fail on me). But I also have other motors, that cost less, that work just as good.

    • @richb326
      @richb326 4 года назад

      Nordic RC Visions just thought that it’s an easy consideration for me as I’ve already got the TBLE speed controller. Plug in, reset and go!
      I’ve also looked at the GoolRC setups which really good value but I don’t know enough about then. Things have moved on quite a bit since that time I had a Tamiya!
