- The Dutch Royal Family pays respect to the late Princess Christina. As a colorful person, the family paid tribute to wear colors as well.
Princess Christina's three children, Nicolás, Juliana and Bernardo, walk just behind the coffin, followed by the sisters, Beatrix, Irene and Margriet. The King and Queen, Willem-Alexander and Máxima, came back from their holiday in Greece, but without their three daughters.
Princess Christina's funeral and cremation will take place in private.

Question: I notice that Christina and Friso are not buried in the church (as Claus and Juliana were). Was that for the monarchs only, or was that their personal wish?
It was their personal wish, so we learned after their death. Princess Irene was the only one who made public, years ago she wanted to be cremated. Beside that, at this moment, there are only 3 spaces left. For Beatrix, Willem-Alexander and Máxima, probably. A few years ago the church renovated and made an own cellar for other purposes and asked the royal family to enlarge their vault as well. Strangely, they choose not to do it.
Princess Margriet and Pieter made their own grave/vault in the gardens of The Loo Palace.

She has 3 or 4 grandchildren, when Christina died, I heard for the first time that her daughter has children. Nobody knows who the father is, except the family ofcourse.

Wat een kleurrijke bedoeling, hebben ze dan geen verdriet over een geliefde, tegenwoordig moet je een begrafenis maar diep weg stoppen, is ook zo'n enge bedoeling allemaal, verbloem het maar goed diep weg stoppen 👎
Prinses Christina was kleurrijk en muzikaal, dus ook haar uitvaart
Jeannet Wiltink wat kortzichtig Jeannet. De begrafenis past zich altijd aan aan een persoon. Misschien had zij opgeschreven of gezegd dat zij een kleurrijk afscheid wilde. Een ander wil feest muziek bij zijn afscheid. En zo wordt een afscheid persoonlijk. Gelukkig zijn we allemaal verschillende personen
Wellicht de laatste wens van prinses Christina, wel zo respectvol om deze wens te eerbiedigen. U mag eisen dat op uw uitvaart iedereen in het zwart gekleed gaat.
Jeannet Wiltink , kleurrijke kleding op een begrafenis wil niet zeggen dat je geen verdriet hebt of iets wegstopt.
Verdriet zit niet in je kleding maar in je hart!
