That is so terrible and shady that they didn't tell you the owner knew they wanted to sell! I'm glad you've found a new place with so much potential. I'm sure you'll transform it in to something magical ❤
My heart stopped a beat when I saw the title of your video this morning. But I'm excited that you will be moving to a place with a potentially better garden where you can start your new gardening adventures and putting your gardening designing skills to create a much more beautiful garden. Looking forward to your moving house videos and your new home/garden. Oh, please remember take along the huge jade plant you planted in your garden bed to your new place. :)
Shy I’m so sad to see your beautiful garden being dismantled 😢but your positive attitude is contagious and I can’t wait to see your new place coming to life under your expert hands. Thank you for taking us in your journey ❤️
Wow. So sad you have to move so soon. I can’t imagine moving all the plants. 😱😱. Eucalyptus is a beautiful tree. Hoping to follow your new home journey. Thanks for sharing. 👏👏👍👍👍
If you lean into tropicals in the front yard you can get inspiration from the Sydney Plant Guy. I'm cottage in the front, tropical in the back and succulents pots in between. All the best for your move. Jill
When I saw that you had to move again my heart sunk 😢 You worked so hard on your beautiful garden. I am glad you found a new place you are excited about though 😀🇨🇦
I love how you can put a positive spin on everything you do. I loved watching you plant and grow this garden and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for your next home. Thank you for sharing x
You have a beautiful cactus garden! Cactus and succulents can adapt to any kind of environment even when you move to another house, so don't worry. Hugs🤗!! 🌵🌴
I can see from the comments that I'm not the only one that's shocked by this news. OMG, all the work you've done in that garden! You are amazing, Shy, you're holding together so well, when most people, (especially myself) would be having a fit. I know it does no good to spit into the wind but damn, girl, I'd be so pissed! You think this is a blessing in disguise? I surely hope so. Good luck to you and Tim and I'll be watching, cheering and applauding you as you tackle this new challenge! xxo
I’ve been watching some of your videos off and on. This is the one that got me to subscribe. I love how real you are. A lot of people face these problems as renters and how awesome that you allow us into the nitty gritty. Watching the recap of your previous 10 months at the home really gave me an appreciation of how much work and love you put into your garden and plants. That’s really an amazing experience to observe. 🙏🏾 thank you ❤
Dammit!!!!! You have done such a wonderful job in this garden and am looking forward to what you'll stun us all with next! Your positive attitude is inspirational and I know... you got this!!!! Onward and upward x
Awww as a recent subscriber I really enjoyed the footage of you creating your garden spaces. So wonderful to see it all come together. Lots of work but satisfying to see it all finished. Sucks that your rental agent was being deceptive though. The last place we rented before buying our home had a really nice German landlord. We got lucky right at the end after moving 7 times in 8 years. Wishing you all the best for your next garden adventure. 💚🌵🌾🌸🪴🌹🌼💚
Oh my 7 times in 8 years sounds TOUGH! Don't know how you did it but big kudos to you. Good to hear you had a good experience with your last rental before finally having the opportunity to nest 💕
Omg I really don't know how you do it! I'm in the process of selling my condo and looking to buy a little cottage for the garden of course 😅 but the thought of having to move my 150+ plants are making me anxious. I will definitely be thinking of you when I'm doing it and say "if Shy can do it so can I" ❤
Omg Shy so much for long term, I was horrified when I opened your page this morning, all the work you have put in your garden. Good luck with your move.
Congratulations on your new adventure. Moving all your plants seem so dau, but you and Tim did a great job on this last move. Looking forward to what you will doing in your new garden. Can't wait. My best to both of you.🎉
I feel your pain. Seems landlords are opposed to anything that will change the original property. Here in the US if you plant anything substantial like bushes or trees they become part of the property. However, unless you leave a humongous hole in the ground I suppose you can dig them up returning the property back to the way it was that would be acceptable. When I was getting divorced and our house was sold I hadn’t moved all my stuff out and needed a few weeks. The realtor who bought my home (to rent) made me pay him rent then while I was still there “ripped out” all the plants in the backyard! It’s funny the attitude changes once ownership changes. So now I know how cold people can be once title changes. Good luck with your search.
WHAT??? Don't do this to me when I haven't had my 5 p.m. dose of BP med! OK now the few shots you showed us are intriguing! I ❤ your current garden but wasn't crazy about the house. The teaser of the house looks great! And you're so creative it will be fun to see what you do in the new house and garden! You go Girl! You've got this! ❤😊
@the.morning.chorus I can't even begin to imagine! But you guys are such a strong team I know you'll get thru this together and there will be lots of 🌞 on the other side! ❤️
Omg the way i screamed when i got the notification!! What?!! . Ok now let me keep calm and watch Ok done watching 😅. Moving can be so stressful and daunting but change can also be so exciting, and right on time for the new year !! The new house looks so promising. I love old houses . There is a something so nostalgic about them. You did such a fantastic job with your garden that I am positive you will do an even better job in your new home . Excited for the journey!
Hi Shy. I am sorry you guys have to move house again in a such a short period of time. I am also sorry for the plants being disturbed so soon after going in the ground but I think they are resilient and it’s also a new adventure. May you build good memories and produce awesome videos😊
I genuinely am so excited for you (even tho I know this must be so stressful to be going through). Really rooting for you all the way from Canada! May your new home be or become everything you need it to be while you continue your quest for that forever home and forever garden!
With all things said, excited to see you at the new place! P.S. Sydney home price is craaazzzyyy. I live in Melbourne and when I talk to my friends over there and learn how much they paid for their homes, I go 🤯🤯
You guys got this! I can’t wait to see what y’all do with the new place and the garden. Check out Alexandra Gater. She re-does a lot of cool rental spaces in Canada.
Oh boy, can I relate to your comments about agents. My health has been ruined due to the stress of lying agents and owners. I have been terminated after 14 years as the owner said I was too old, at 70, and he decided I needed to live in town. I had lived in rural Australia for all those years. I should have taken him for discrimination, but I had just found out my daughter has cancer. The next owners neglected to tell me they would be selling their home, and two months before my lease was up, as well as caring for my sick daughter, I had to stage the house for inspections. In desperation, I took a house that was run down, unloved, unmaintained as I couldn't face homelessness again. Now, we have been told the owner is not renewing our lease. I had asked for the gutters to be cleaned as this house is in a fire prone area, and days later, I was told our lease would not be renewed. So, we are facing homelessness, with a seriously ill daughter, and I have become a bitter, resentful, rage filled person jealous of all entitled home owners. That is not who I am, but desperation and anticipatory grief have done me in. Good luck to you. And prayers for me, if anyone could be bothered, please?
I feel lonely ma'am Shy when I read the title of your video,,, the first thing I have in mind is what will happen to your beautiful garden,,,moving again to another place is so difficult for me specially you have plenty of plants & big cacti but we can't do anything about it,,, One thing is for sure I will missed your beautiful garden ma'am Shy ❤❤❤
Really sad to hear you’re leaving this place while you’re already settled in. That is not right landlord should let you know is a long lease. And also should give you a good amount of time to vacant. Renting is a pain as you never feel secure how long can stay also cannot really renovate. Fingers crossed for you guys to have a permanent home one day.
So difficult, I do not envy you. I've thought about what I'd do if I had to move and pack up three greenhouses and my entire property of agaves and other dry cultivars.
Will you move them bare rooted? How frustrating for you after only 10 months. Ugh. Real estates should be held to their code of conduct. Bastards! At least you can enjoy the creativity of redesigning gardens and learn from the new microclimates. Good luck…
Ugh, real estate agents are the absolute worst! I’m so sorry you’re having to move again. It’s completely outrageous that the only way to get housing stability in Australia is buying. We’re mortgaged up to our ears which is also stressful but at least we’re not at the mercy of a landlord’s whims. It took until our 40s for my partner and I to be able to buy a house. Hang in there, your forever garden is waiting out there for you.
Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. It means a lot coming from someone who understands the challenges of renting and homeownership in the Australian context. Moving twice in one year is beyond fathomable but we are staying positive 🙏🏽
Dude just buy a house, you'd save yourself so much more money plus you won't be renting so your money is going towards you owning your home and garden.
That is so terrible and shady that they didn't tell you the owner knew they wanted to sell! I'm glad you've found a new place with so much potential. I'm sure you'll transform it in to something magical ❤

Renting is hard, all the best for the move.
you did a wonderful job in the garden! absolutely gorgeous!!
Shy I’m so sad to see your beautiful garden being dismantled 😢but your positive attitude is contagious and I can’t wait to see your new place coming to life under your expert hands. Thank you for taking us in your journey ❤️
Beautiful tribute to your beautiful garden!
I'm looking forward to seeing you create your new garden!
Excited for house content too! Paint and second hand flips can go a long way 😊
Amazing what you did in just 10 months. You have a great aesthetic eye!!
Everything happens for a reason. It's going to be beautiful.❤
Wow. So sad you have to move so soon. I can’t imagine moving all the plants. 😱😱. Eucalyptus is a beautiful tree. Hoping to follow your new home journey. Thanks for sharing. 👏👏👍👍👍

Big fan of SPG!
New year...new project!!!
A big job ahead! I have the eucalyptus that you just brought planted in my garden but fairly slow growing, but yes very populating boques
New house is so me. Love old places!
When I saw that you had to move again my heart sunk 😢 You worked so hard on your beautiful garden. I am glad you found a new place you are excited about though 😀🇨🇦

You have a beautiful cactus garden! Cactus and succulents can adapt to any kind of environment even when you move to another house, so don't worry. Hugs🤗!! 🌵🌴
Oh wow! I wasn't expecting that. Well, here we go! We're going with you! Hugs!
Bummer ! to bad that you can Buy. good luck in finding a place.
That is not fear for you and your beautiful garden, but new good things is coming in your life ❤ ❤
OMG. Sorry to hear that you’re moving again! 😮 Thanks for all your excellent videos. I’m going to enjoy watching you create your new garden. 💜🐨

Well this got my attention 😂 Good luck, Shy!
AND I AM SO PROUD! You got the name right too!
🙏🏽💕 seeds at the new place will be a thing!
The end where you added clips of you making this home yours made me so sad 😔 but change is good! On to big and better!!!!! 💚
Oh my god that’s horrible that you have to move in such a short period of time. I’m excited about your new adventure.🧿
Omg Shy so much for long term, I was horrified when I opened your page this morning, all the work you have put in your garden. Good luck with your move.
If the 'Patron Saint' Laura Eubanks can move her whole gardens rentals to rentals you got this! Renting sucks onward and upward x
Congratulations on your new adventure. Moving all your plants seem so dau, but you and Tim did a great job on this last move. Looking forward to what you will doing in your new garden. Can't wait. My best to both of you.🎉

You are so lucky the landlord is allowing Ng you to discuss your plants up; doesn't always happen.

It's okay to change. But wouldn't it be much better not to have plants on the ground?
oh no...we leave them one of those americana verigated agave in the ground for shits n giggles..good luck.
🤣🫢
