@@grahambarrett5569 ta very much for ya feed back, a truly fascinating town, at the same time somewhat sad, cos of the loss of so much of its heritage. But yeah, ya Wright, some very interesting buildings and an amazing history going back we'll over 2000 years.
Hi .fella glad you liked it. There's more on my history channel. And another on my regular channel, mix it monkey man. Hope they are looking after the old place. So much of the towns history has been lost to redevelopment and of course the great fire. Enjoy.
Around the palant by the curved wall opposite where you were standing was the scene of the 1888 murder of an 8 year old Percy Searle. Big news in Havant then! Nice video Alan
Hi ya fella. How ya doing? Yea I remember reading about that murder, I think was by other kids. Also the old converted Chapel, now dwellings, during construction the body of a child was found in a coffin very morbid. Unfortunately the last part of the walk about somehow ended up on my mix it monkey channel. 😂 Still glad you enjoyed it.
Unfortunately certain people's intervened, and didn't want their promises video filmed, sad then proceeded to make the rest of the shoot awkward, the camera person and I sere later threatened by a group of individuals, si decided to retire fro. Events. Still need to upload St faiths Church video. That didn't vote out to bad although the cannon got rather cagey at one point and that had to be edited out. Crazy eh, Strange town havant.
@@alanphillips556 that’s weird. I believe that you’re still legally entitled to video peoples homes and properties providing they are not personally in it. Although upsetting the natives is something we really don’t want to do. Although I firmly believe that most objectors are people not from this town. We have settlers from all over Britain here. You’ve only got to observe the football shirts at a weekend to see where allegiances lay 😂
Loved this video, please do some more on the history of Havant, I’ve lived in Havant all my life (53 years) & im always interested in learning more of the area, I actually live in Stockheath which has now been swallowed up by the Leigh Park housing estate, would love a video on the history of Stockheath before the estate was built, great video that’s for posting 👍🏻
Hi there.. it was a while ago I shot this. But I think the first photo is from the sixties, and the 2nd from the early 80s. Both lifted from a book from havant library. The title iludes me.( sorry bout the spelling). Lovely to here from you though. Glad you enjoyed the film. There is another Instalment on my other channel mix it monkey man.😁

The photo you show at 12:36 do you know what year this photo was taken?
Or even where you found the photo? We think that’s possibly one of my relatives on the bike!
