    Nice video. Never thought to paint the joiner pieces to help hide the plastic and blend them into the ties. May have to do that on my layout.

    Does your friend have his own RUclips page?
    I'd love to see an overview/tour of his layout.

      Unfortunately, my friend Alan Saatkamp does not have a RUclips channel. If you are interested, I did a video about his layout some time back. Look for "15) A Visit to the Twin Cities and Western" in my older videos. He has made massive changes to his layout since then, but it does highlight his operating scheme and modelling prowess.
