New album "Selection 4" has been handed to the streaming platforms, containing all recent songs pending to date plus a few older ones to fill up the gap. Might take a few more days though, depending on your platform of choice.
Just a heads up i realize now you've have Dwindling Times on both selection 1 and 2 on spotify, idk about your stuff other platforms tho i dont use them
@@FGC_Jules I noticed that just the other day, and the request for a change was already submitted. Thanks for spotting it, hints like that are always highly welcome.
This literally helped break me out of a 6 week long crisis of fight or flight panic mode that I have been stuck in due to a severe illness that struck me out of nowhere….Thank you for continuing to deliver the best of times from our past back to us!
@@SurvivalSpheres For now and I see what u did there:) I am fighting my own "T" virus which is severe Tinnitus that struck me 2 mo ago. I have been dying to listen to ur tracks and this is the first one I played. Ty as always!!!!
Hi Bates Motel! I've seen some of your comments on Arklay Overcast, it's good to see you here too! I take it you also have a great passion for good Resident Evil inspired music.
I was about to write something like "and there it is - another magnificent piece of art" but someone else did that already. But it truly is another great track to dive into. Something to float away for a moment, to let go and turn all other noises down. Once again - well done! :-)
Holy WOW! This is indescribably beautiful! It takes me away to an abandoned (zombie infested) ship on a stormy ocean, much like RE: Dead Aim. I wish Dead Aim would be revamped, and I also wish the first Revelations hadn't been so ridiculous (in my opinion). I love the infected ship on the ocean idea, and this song takes me there. Thank you, and thanks for the new album!
Ohhh i fully agree with you! For me in general there's just something about the setting on a ship... and this potential, for some reason, wasn't properly used in Revelations 1. I can't even explain why I felt that way. By the way, I hope you liked the Dead Aim revisit I've made two posts ago.
@@SurvivalSpheres Oh yes! I thoroughly enjoyed Under Blind Sights! In my opinion, Revelations 1 had potential, but the story was just weird. What I disliked the most about it were the character and creature designs. They all felt too "cartoony" and unrealistic, especially with the female characters wearing horribly inappropriate outfits. I hate that they over-sexualized it. It felt like it went against the modest and realistic feel of the original games, the ones I grew up with. I guess it was just a personal "punch in the gut" for me. I know most fans wouldn't agree, but I despise how unrealistic and overly-sexualized the RE characters have become in the games. I appreciated the RE 2 and 3 remakes for giving the characters realistic and appropriate clothing, then they completely reversed that with RE 8, but Revelations 1 was the worst one in that aspect. Notice how much better Revelations 2 was? I feel like games with more realistic storylines and character do much better with the fans than the games that try to appeal more to the perverted side of things. So frustrating!!! 😖
@@SurvivalSpheres By any chance, did you ever play Cold Fear? It's from the PS 2 era, but it's a pretty good RE inspired game that takes place on a ship. It's also got a pretty good score.
I love your music, ive been a huge fan of Resident evil for majority of my life, Hell im exactly as old as it, and your music is the closest I can find to capturing the essence of it. I'd love to hear some alternate mission music, save music and ambient music from Devil May Cry since it is based from Resident Evil. I recently got my Fiancé into both series and we both hear the leftovers of resident evil in it all the time
I never really played DMC, but that didn't stop me from making one dedicated song named "Comfort In Memoriam". Perhaps I will make more in the future, wish I had more time :-/ Anyways, good to have you here and congratulations for getting your Fiancé into this! I bet 'Leon x Ada' played a role ;-)
I've been listening since yesterday. It has something mysterious but attractive. It's kind of calm, but inside you know that there are monsters lurking in the fog outside the window. A moment of breath and the silence before the storm.
I'd love to see an RE game open up on a college campus, and you're a student (or group of students) that slept through the college getting infected or are waking up to a silent but chaotic outbreak.
Sounds like a great setup. Do you know the old game called "Obscure"? It's not like RE, but at least has such a campus scenario. I found it refreshing back then, though I can't tell if it aged well.
@@SurvivalSpheres Well I know about Obscure now...yeah the game even lives up to its title, and it's a shame this game isn't recognized more! Unfortunately what I saw looks very rough around the edges, but I hope it gets remade cause there is a TON of potential in the series!
I got some mini cassettes handy. If you can hold out in a safe room for a while, they should get to you in no time. Just be careful when you rewind them to go back to an earlier state in time, because the darn things have a habit of getting chewed up 😅😜 Love this track, and how there's quite a lot of reverb, giving off a weird and eerie open space feel. Makes me picture a person coming up to T Junction in their dreams, out in the middle of nowhere, but there's no signs saying where to go. Great title again, fits really well, because it's like it makes you feel as though your choice is an illusion, your freedom has been nullified... Better to just pick a path though in the end, rather than just staying there stagnating 😉
If I may take away one thing from your many faithful comments it is this: You seem seriously obsessed with the concepts of time, illusion, chance and fate. Very thoughtful.
@@SurvivalSpheresI'll take that as a compliment, thanks. Except for the obsession part. Obsession is conscious, where as my thoughts seem to accidentally drift to those themes quite often. Quite peculiar aye. However, I don't believe in fate. Like they say "there's no fate but what we make for ourselves" 😅😝 I do believe in chance though. Isn't everything a chance. Nothing is permanent, and there's always a chance for change haha. Take care 👍
@@Johny40Se7en And maybe THAT path is your fate ;-) (I'm getting your point though) I somehow sit between the chairs. On the one hand I like the "everything lies in our hands" approach, on the other hand I like to think that "everything happens for a reason". Is it even a contradiction? Some will say yes, some will say no. Eventually we will find out.
@@SurvivalSpheres That's a lovely way to put it 😊 I feel as though life's for experiences, and no one can do that for me, have to do it myself. To truly live, while trying all the good things life has to offer, while also avoiding harming the Planet and others - both Human and non Human - as best I can Alas, mindfulness and conscientiousness 😉😝
This one is rather curious. I immediately felt the familiar tone that I would describe with Alone in the Dark 4's ambient parts of the soundtrack, paired with a hint of desperation and mystery that would stem from Dino Crisis 2 soundscape. It also reminded be a bit of Dracula 2 and Necronomicon (developed by Wanadoo, now known as Microids), especially the latter, since they featured relaxed, more ambient soundtracks. Also feeling RE4/RE5 influence here, but I suppose that might be a given. In other words, after listening this for over 5 times I should probably go to bed. This save room did its job well!
Necronomicon...? And once more you give me a hint about something I had missed for whatever reason. I'm glad to welcome such a personified encyclopedia of solid video game history as my returning guest for so many years now!
@@SurvivalSpheres A point an click adventure that I happened to have back in the days. There were PS1 version of it and it's purely puzzle-oriented. Not exactly a good game, rather a curiosity. It's one of those "inspired by H.P. Lovecraft" kind of games.
@@DfactorLongplays Seems difficult to find the score here, apart from one song that apparently plays in some kind of menu screen. I started to like it after 5 seconds.
That's a recurring issue with this channel, the lines sometimes will blur too much. The last song in this style - "Doomsday"- was definitely SH for me. Why this one is now RE... honestly, I don't know.
Love this. What is the name of this on the album? I'm a director working on a film inspired by Silent Hill 2. We've got to work together in the future!
