Thanks for the info, there's hope for us, long-haulers, got COVID back in November 13 with mild symptoms but a week later I felt really weird like I was gonna pass out and since that day I been feeling dizzy, lightheaded, anxiety and weird palpitations every day, day and night, the first two weeks were the worst I thought I was going to die because of fast palpitations and intense head
aches at the same time, I went to the ER and everything came back normal, wasn't able to work for one month I though I was goin to loose my job because of my dizziness and headaches, so the fifth week I decided to go back to work and felt really bad still but you know, bills cant wait. Now my dizziness, headaches and palpitations are not as bad. every day is different, but even when I'm watching a movie I get anxiety and start getting palpitations so I have to get up and do something else to distract my brain, hopefully I get better with time, I read that it could go away between 2 to 6 months, sometimes I feel really sad because i start thinking that could be my new life dealing with all this awful symptoms :( Only time will tell.

Reading these comments have helped me immensely. I have come a long way overcoming the covid virus but still struggle with some fatigue, sense of taste is completely off, dizziness is almost gone as is the heart palpitations. It's been going on 3 months now. Did not vaccinate, have not been to the Dr yet. Began B12, zinc, and VitD about 8 months before I was exposed to covid. I'm getting better everyday and giving my body time to heal itself. Looks like it may take a while. Nothing, with the exception of the little Halo oranges tastes good to me. It bothers me to try and eat a meal and not have any desire for it. I do plan on a Dr visit soon. God bless to those struggling. I believe you will get better, you know your body. Rest, eat well, see your Dr and stay positive.

I have post covid symtoms still. I had covid in august 2021. I did find chewing Wrigley's spearment gum helps make the covid cough go away. Good protein helps with the shaking. The more you build up the protein in your body the better. Also I use collagen peptides, tart cherry, and ginger for inflammation and pain. I lost most of my hair and the peptides do help it grow back. Also saw palmetto helps with hair growth. Garlic is also a very good anti-inflammatory. I say these things because a lot of people like myself cannot take or react to pharmaceutical medications. I do better on herbs and natural food. It takes longer but worth it, because there's no reactions or side affects. It's worked for me, I hope these things work for other people as well.

I have had amazing healthcare professionals throughout all of this though, from the nurses to the techs to doctors, everyone has been very compassionate and caring. So far I'm on 8 medications and a supplement but my quality of life is still pretty crappy, not anyone's fault it's just how it goes sometimes. It's super frustrating to keep struggling with this and having symptoms for so long but therapy has been getting me cope. Groups aren't my thing but it's great they help others. I think it’s the wrong approach to treat each symptom separately. It’s all the same underlying process - inflammation, plus stuck in “fight or flight”. If you can get yourself back in to “rest and digest” your body will heal. You don’t even need medication for this. No body systems work properly in constant fight or flight. And the body doesn’t know that the medical profession separates it into different systems. It works as a whole.

I just slowly nudged myself forward. I listened to a yoga nidra (check it out on RUclips) every day. I did breathing exercises whenever I felt overwhelmed (4,7,8 breathing). I had a bath (not too hot) every night before I went to bed. Above all, I was very kind to myself. I spoke to myself as if I was a small child who needed comforting. I told myself “You can do this” every day. I celebrated even tiny amounts of progress. I didn’t beat myself up if I went wrong somewhere. When I felt a bit better, I added in probiotics. I did my best to eliminate things that would put me into fight of flight. I deleted social media (especially the long covid support groups - they were too negative and people kept reporting scary new studies), I didn’t watch the news (I had to concentrate on myself for a bit). I tried not to speak harshly to myself. Whenever I felt fear about the future, I tried to visualise a lovely future (this was difficult at first but soon my brain went with it). When I stated to exercise, I just walked for 5 mins every second day. Then after a week I increased to 10 mins every second day, and so on. My symptoms would get worse again briefly with every increase, but then settle down again. When I went back to work I had a very slow phased return. I am now fully recovered. I had that for like 5 months until it started getting better then i caught covid again and got long covid again now, this is what helped me heal NAC, Spermadine(mushrooms (shiitake are best) + mature cheddar cheese) Herbs like parsley, thyme, rosemary, etc.., Turmeric, Garlic,) Intermittent fasting dont eat until 12pm - 6pm then fast 18 hours. Dont exercise as that makes the symptoms worse, wait a few months until you exercise, Vitamin d + resveratrol. There is a smoothie by Dr rhonda patrick on youtube look it up, that did wonders for me. Steak + chimichurri really helped also, make sure you make your own chimichurri with oregano + parsley, garlic, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar. Best of luck!

Every time I had a problem they couldn’t explain it so your levels are fine when I went other doctors all the records are tied in in the US so they would say will thyroid levels define your endocrinologist post on here and so that means you shouldn’t have a problem. I've no clue if this could be helpful to you or not. 18 yrs ago I suffered a traumatic brain injury. I lost a great deal of cognitive & memory ability. For 2 yrs, I wasn't "myself" (words are inadequate), though I appeared to pretty much function just fine. However my family began to notice I'd changed since prior to the accident. Then at that 2 yr mark it was as if a switch had been flipped & I even said aloud in the moment "I'm back!". I had some pretty severe brain fog with covid. It was eerily similar to right after my accident, too similar.....and in some ways worse. I'm at the end of week 4 and it was just a few days ago most of the fog lifted, though I still have cognitive & memory issues. My brain fog was literally an altered state of mind, not just clouded thinking sort of thing. I was what I call "here but not here". Makes me wonder what this virus was doing inside my brain. Meanwhile, shortness of breath continues, chest pain, cognitive/memory issues, and the virus damaged my heart.......and I have stomach/bowel issues. Not to mention that gawd awful fatigue that is as if someone drugged you. My dr tells me I'll be out of work for likely at least 2 more months, probably longer depending on what the cardiologist needs to do. However, even with the other issues, it's the brain fog that disturbs me the most........because I keep wondering what the virus was doing to brain cells/connections to have caused the same state of mind as a traumatic brain injury.

Then about 2 weeks later I felt better and felt I beat Covid. And about 3rd week my heart started skipping beats and felt like fluttering with a pound or heartbeat. It felt like it fluttered and the beat catches up. Now today my heart is not the same. I currently have a new heart beat. I also feel dizzy. The ekg showed PVCs and Nonspecific ST and T Wave abnormalities. Nobody can give me answers as to why or what is happening. My Dr says should go away with time.

Yes! Going through the exact same thing now. Got covid the first week of january and still struggeling. I just want to lay on the couch all day. But, one thing that I have noticed that makes my depression and anxiety worse is reading stories of other long haulers online! They are mostly negative, because in those Facebook groups people just want to get things off their chest. You just read the worst stories that will probably never apply to us. And also: you never read stories of recovery, because those people just move on with their life.
So, here is some positive news! 1 Some of my symptoms are gone, like my brain fog (it's amazing to be able to think straight lol). 2 There's good days inbetween the bad days. 3 Mindfulness exercises work. 4 Going off the internet works for my anxiety. 5 We don't know much about the virus yet, so we'll probably be better some day!!

I foolishly went back to my doctor for an unrelated issue and was prescribed Doxy (antibiotic) which I believe totally destroyed my gut. 2 weeks later had some intense belching, bloating, GI issues. Started again from my gut and then I started to get all of the symptoms back. Extreme fatigue, brain fog, muscle twitching, headaches, high HR, palpitations and the unshakable GI issues. Both helped to some degree. Also Amitriptyline Hcl 10 MG Tab (one nightly) prescribed by neurologist helped with some stress/tension head stuff that goes on. Going back for more advice though next week as now i have the head sensation with burning ears and rashes. Good luck.

Yes Vitamin D helps a lot especial for muscle pain. But what helped most for me was some info I came across regarding histamine intolerance with the indication that antihistamines could help (by taking 2 per day till symptoms relieve. DR Tina Peters on line). I called it "overload " Started on the antihistamines and it didn't take long to relieve some of the symptoms especially the skin rashes and hives I got after the first vaccine shot. Secondly I had a craving for oranges and found some other info about the effects of Vitamin C . So also started a supplement. This helped the fatigue immensely. What persists is the lung scarring and shortness of breath from any exertion. Some other info has suggested Vitamin E with tocotrionols helps repair lungs so have started on these. I doubt there is any one magic pill for everything but tackling symptoms works.

Thinking it was the heart medication I have stopped all pills except aspirin and I am taking vitamin d, magnesium and a multi vitamin to see if symptoms improve. Resolved 95% within a week of the fast, brief minor recurrence of very mild fatigue for a few days here and there, now 100% gone. Just a case of rebuilding strength and cardio now. Can do full strength training sessions as per pre Covid, no PEM to speak of. I’d highly recommend people to try this, with proper research and advice from a doctor. I got covid 4 weeks ago. Took 29 - 12 mg Iver tablets in two weeks. I got pretty sick but never need to go to the hospital. Lucky I dropped the natural treatment bullcrap and stockpiled Iver. My long covid protocol is horse paste, aspirin to prevent blood clots per Dr. McCullough and non-dyed Benadryl to help with the cough. My plan is for 3 months. Covid is a serious issue and don't go without treatment. Of course, don't do the experimental drugs called vaccines either. Good luck.

Great info but really makes those of us suffering same symptoms for many many years., myself over 20 very upset, we had whats called chronic fatigue syndrome. we were insulted, told was all in our head and to seek psychological help while symptoms were just as real as long haulers. I went to college started support group at local hospital for 23 years. I got a study published in a large medical journal, hoping to find a common thread we all had. I had over 440 people in my group all seeking help or acknowledgement. Now everyone is acting like these symptoms are something new. If anyone wants help dive into literature and books written for us mostly by sufferers of cfs, some doctors themself you will get great tips and help to cope until hopefully your own symptoms abate. good luck to all hope they dont forget you too.

Please read Judy Mikovits book "Plague"...also study Chronic Lyme disease. Traditional doctors do not know anything about healing for the most part...you have to go to "alternative" sources (they were the way people healed for centuries...modern pharmakeia is alternative actually)...They have done the same con job with the chronic Lyme community and got away with it since the 70s...We are told that it is all in our head while we fall apart and become bedridden and in constant pain...till we wake up and quit trusting those who make money off of keeping people sick. Pharma whores will kill us if we let them...sold their souls to the devil for money and fame...I was labeled with CFS/Fibro and many other things before I realized it was a bioweapon from hell...or Plum Island...study that along with Operation Paperclip/Nazi Scientist/Eric Traub...Once I realized what I was fighting...then I started to heal...Bedridden for three years listening to pharma whores...I got Long Haulers after being full well from Lyme...they both feel the same. But, what helped me recover from Lyme is helping with the Long COVID...Detox...Detox...Detox...and restore the body with nutrients. I had Meyer's cocktail IVs for many years...was having to use a rollerwalker to get around before I started them...Now I can just take a lot of vitamins and stay mobile...these "viruses" destroy the immune system and we have to do something to restore.

13 months in myself this is the protocol that i used, it does get better some long haulers quicker than others. i still struggle but nothing like i was, you need zinc (50mg) and vitamin b1 (200mg and a good source the rest of the B vitamins), that's what the body uses to stem the inflammation. zinc deficiency manifests as hair falling out, rapid onset fatigue is a sign of b1 deficiency..... a crushed glove of garlic, two to three times a day ( leave it for 10 mins before you add it to food, it allows the allicin to form) this will ease your breathing. 3-4000 mg of vitamin c a day. one aspirin. resveratol 200 mg. green tea, turmeric, omega-3 50 mg for the headache. vitamin d 10,000- 4000 iu a day, pine bark extract, vitamin E with a full spectrum of tocopherols and over the counter anti-histamines. essentially what i can gather is it messes with the endothelia cell function, these cells make up the lining of your capillaries and when damaged leak fluids into the surrounding tissue. all of the above will help with this and there is something that heals the cell, called endothelial progenitor cells. these get released by the bone marrow so it just takes time and unfortunately the only way to keep these upregulated is through exercise which is hard when your suffering but as soon as you can start walking little bits at a time and progressively increase as the health will allow ( stay out of strong winds).... if you don't already try adding some leafy greens to your diet, especially spinach, its got plant sterols in it which help with rebuilding the damaged of the body, also a herb called Gotu Kola, this helps the endothelial cells function better, avoid dairy, refined sugars and tomatoes.....also some sauerkraut or kimchi to help your gut heal
