Have you guys heard the thing where the ~gifted and talented program~ was never *actually* what it said it was but was instead just a way to pull the kids that they suspected to be autistic or otherwise neurodivergent to provide extra stimulation for those who were at risk to get bored/distracted with the regular workload, and prevent some of the extra struggles that come along with that. I definitely thought that was interesting looking back with now an ADHD diagnosis as an adult 😅

The gifted program is made for students who have an above average IQ/scores to provide enrichment instruction- HOWEVER, there does seem to be a correlation to gifted students and autism… kinda a coincidence but gifted program wasn’t created solely for ASD kids
