- We went into this under the impression propane was the obvious winner. Were we right? Guess you'll just have to watch to the end to see!

That's a slow induction stove, did a test with mine on a video. Good video though, liked the concept. Ever notice how small the burners are on the propane stoves are, have the same in my travel trailer. Now that second burner is cranking for you.😁
Thanks Larry and Jen, you guys covered this very well. We have portable induction stoves as well as the gas stove. We also have a camper we are using on our property and we have the bird! Now we are more informed and can decide which one we want to use based on what we are cooking.
Glad you enjoyed it man! Probably the influence of homeschooling that we’re starting to introduce a little science to our tests. Keep up the good work on your end (getting ready to get our panhard bars & drag link swapped once we find drag link end caps for ours😉)
A real eye opener and wicked scenic break thank you
Thank you!
I have started on my kitchen, yet, but I'm leaning toward making a custom topper for the stove that will fit an induction stove. This really helped cement that thought. I still need to figure out a replacement for the departed original microwave, as well, since I have no oven. I'm very impressed with the induction speed, and figure I will typically be on electric once I start traveling. Awesome video!
Thank you for your kind words. We haven’t done a review yet, but highly recommend a convection stove or combo convection/microwave to replace your old one (we love ours, & it makes the BEST pizza… which is of the utmost importance when you’re “roughing it” 😜).
@@Buoy4AK You said THE magic word for what I've been trying to sort out: pizza! (the perfect food, in my opinion, since there are no limits to possibilities). Next would be baking, but I figure friends will be happy to let me use their space to bake from time to time. I look forward to a video on your experience.
I would go gas. That way you only have one set of cast iron pots and pans. You can use them on campfire or in the bus. Leave the Martha Stewart cooking ware at home.
Actually at the cabin cast iron is all we use (except for boiling warer), campfire or indoors which is also induction (let’s face it, the only time we camp cook indoors is when weather keeps us inside 😉)
So wait here, I am confused...You have a Camper at your house? (On the island) and the Clatterpillar Powered RV on the main land? You are starting to sound like me, no campers yet, but I have 4 different sized single axle utility trailers... #1- Very Lo-Profile 4×6 homebuilt (Henry J car front axle, no springs). #2 - Tilt Bed Home Built 6×10 Lo-Profile Trailer (no springs either some HD Axle) #3 - 6x16 Wood-hauling trailer, has Trailer house Axle and springs 14.5 HD wheels and all! #4 PJ 8314 ATV trailer (the only one I didn't Inherit! - LOL)
You’re not confused, nailed it! (When you live on an island where it’s prohibitively expensive to move a rig back & forth, you wind up making some compromises). This is why we can’t afford much else. I think we have just about 2 of everything (Jen says I’m an “Everythingahaulic” 😜).
@@Buoy4AK I feel that...I have 3 of everything tool wise, as I have my stuff in My Garage at home, and then my own tools in my "Tool Car" (Crappy old Station Wagon "with footballs in rear coil springs for more capacity") for making "Mobile repairs" (Like when the Alternator craps out on my wife's car in the city.) - And I have a Tool set/chest at the cabin...not really full mechanics set, but enough to change the Plow Pump on the "crappy plow truck" - Ah the greatness of not having enough sh...stuff.
Amen man!
