Season 9 was the breaking point for a lot of casual players I feel, and the way they've structured season 10 has been heavily geared toward the battle pass. I think there's been a drop in players since they last announced their numbers, so they altered the way weekly and daily challenges work in favor of more battle pass challenges. It makes people want to buy the pass so they have something to do. I see it as a marketing strategy to combat falling player counts.
They keep adding poi’s into the game for players to just have fun but everyone tries so hard that they don’t want to have fun but they say they want to have fun. It’s a paradox.
