I agree that, if you literally can't take your dog before and after work and if you don't even pay attention to them, you shouldn't get one, but if you do (I knew some people who did this) then what's the problem with owning one? just because you can't walk them when you're at work? that's a stupid reasoning...
Not every job is like a streamer, it's 9-5 plus overtime sometimes but you really need a pet as an companion so you don't get crushed inside. People who atleast get a dog walker care for their dogs and the dogs too have a social life.
dude i understand what you are saying but you have to realise proffesional streamers are doing wayyy more than 9-5 they are streaming like 10+ hours a day however they have a lot of breaks and are doing what they love so its much easier to put in a lot more hours
@Josh Lebrun Yeah if someone takes their kid to kindergarden but when you take on that kid it's your responsibility. You can't just get a living creature to make you feel better then completely neglect it, that's not only selfish but cruel.
Dog walkers exist in big cities where people actually work for a living. The dog walker comes to your house while you’re at work and takes your dog out so they don’t piss and shit in your apartment…
Well his general point was that you should have a lifestyle that accommodates a dog if you want to get one. If you work, but there is always somebody home, then that is a perfectly fine situation for having a dog
Yeah I think he forgot that dogs can live for 10+ years, in that time you massive changes to your life could occur like a break up/divorce, deaths or redundancy at work etc.
9:56 True and not true. The point of having a dog is to care for it, but even when you work 8 hours a day you can still care for your dog. I believe it's better for a dog to live in home with a nice garden, have food, warmth and family, and be alone for 8hrs a day, than to live in a small cage in a shelter. The dog I have is often left alone, but the thing is, if my family didn't take this dog it would've been put down, as it was born weak and had problems with his eyes (eyelashes were growing into his eyes, scratching them). He's now after operation and he's alive and happy, with noting scratching his eyes. As this dog should've been dead by now, he's literally got a second life in my home.
xqc never had a dog man, there's no need to argue lol. it's impossible to live a normal life in this society and walk your dog for its entire life, at some point either people won't walk the dog (which is worst) or call someone to do it for them. Anything could happen
Classic xqc take: if you work and pay a dog walker instead of leaving it home alone all day youre not allowed to have pets. Under that same logic if you have a job you shouldnt be allowed to have a kid and pay a daycare.
No because if you have a dog you should walk it at some point, but these people simply do not walk their dogs. He's saying that they're being selfish for just adopting a dog, then not being the one to care for one of its needs. It's like having a kid, but then just paying someone else to feed and have dinner with the kid.
Listen. XQC knows a thing or two about life. To stay at home, eat trash food, and play video games all day is a line of work not many people would take. Show him some respect.
@@mateobea7801 some people workout 10hr shifts with no time to walk your dog during the day so u hire someone to do it. If anything you care more about your dog spending alot of money to make sure he can go out while your away.
@@brandonjones3491 if you work 10 hr shifts, then DONT GET A DOG. its YOUR responsibility and dogs do not fit that kind of lifestyle. thats the whole point.
@@mateobea7801 *Most* people who've their dogs at a daycare center do not have them there all days of the week, and walk them, train them and feed them when they're not. It's expensive as fuck to begin with to have someone else help you care for your dog unless its the neighbour kid, but man, people don't give up their kids just because they throughout their life home until 18 or sometimes later, cost in food, education and all the rest, several millions of dollars. XQC and some of the pepega viewers has some weird Hollywood wives reality perspective, and I don't think any dog owner would disagree it's distasteful to see a dog owner who is using their family member, the dog, as if it's nothing more than a piece of art or owned to show wealth. They are individuals who need love and care for, but it's still an unrealistic, ridiculous and stupid take to imply you, personally, need to be there 24/7 for it, or not even thinking of how many who leave their pets home alone for the majority of time, or doesn't even care for them when they're home. However, many dog owners leave their dogs to a proper daycare facility, with psychologists and various other personnel, where they simulate the dog with basic agility/calls and walks, as well as ultimately trying to matchmake dogs who like each other and fit them into the same ''booth'' so they can have a friend by their side at all times when they aren't doing something special, or when personnel aren't caring for them.
10:00 I don’t have a dog but I do agree that people that can’t really do much for a dog or give the dog it’s needs shouldn’t really get one, and I know that dogs can be saved when someone adopts and I don’t agree 100% about what you said about a person being selfish for getting a dog when they can’t really take care of it because of their lifestyle because maybe they just want to save a dog…but yea paying people to walk your dog seems to be and has always been weird to me
10:11 or you have a dog cause you have cared for it for years and now when you're moving out and getting a job you don't have as much time as you used to. and some people have dogs or animals as emotional support animals and still care for them, if you are getting mad because some people pay to have their dogs walked, then go walk your dog if you're so avid about it. and also selfish? how about the fact that if you worry enough about the dog to take care of it, name it, and love it as a part of your family, you think that missing a walk or two is fine cause chances are your gonna throw the ball with them or go out later, and also, you have other shit to do(i would hope). in my eyes, as long as you love an animal, take care of it and treat it with compassion, missing a walk just because your beat or not feeling good or at work doesn't make you selfish, I think you just have some suppressed issues cause I care for dogs and puppies daily, and not one of there owners is selfish. hell, a Majority of them call me to make sure they're fine. I just feel like everything you said there was false and only really apply to those who actually stay at home all day for work or don't have any, those people are selfish if they don't walk their dogs because, yes you may have work to do, but you can put that down for 10-20 mins and take your dog out. I just feel like you don't really understand a majority of animal owners who actually care for their animals and don't have as much time as they used to or others. either that, or you just have a really narrow mind when comes to stuff like this. all I know is that if you think that way then I guess we can assume you actually take care of yours. and reply if you want an actual example because if everyone thought as you do, the only people who would have dogs are children and 1%er's. oh, and "influencers", almost forgot you.
Then give your dog to someone else who would actually care and love them, instead of letting them live rest of thier few years in the hands of someone who would only walk and feed them for money. You go ahead and do your busy job and live your life.

But, if you are that kinda person, I agree. But thankfully none of the people I’ve watched dogs for are like that. Usually I ask people if they NEED or WANT a dog sitter. I don’t like people who show very little compassion for there pets, my dogs literally live at my side, but sadly not everyone has jobs or have events that come up that they need a dog sitter. Thank you for your comment and I hope you understand, if not I am more than happy to explain more or give a better expample
I want to repeat it louder for those in the back, do not get a dog if you don't have the time/resources to take care of him Get something with less maintenance, cats for example don't need to be taken for walks (but it is still good for them to have some) Turtles/fishes don't need a lot of space
Didn't he used to own a dog and cat? Also if you work everyday and have no time for your pets and they stay in your house 24/7 then yea its kinda selfish.
Generalizing tf out of this people that pay for a dog walker 99% of the time only pay them to walk there dog while they aren’t home and do have time later on. I doubt someone that works 24/7 and wants to make so much money would have a dog just to slow down there income xqcs take is degenerate and ignorant his job is 2 inches off his bed and with his logic only unemployed and rich can own a dog it’s a child’s view of the world and the only people agreeing are kids or unemployed young adults. If you come into a situation where you can no longer properly care for a dog, put it up for adoption. Not doing so is selfish, that's just the way it is. Ultimately it's your dog and your decision. But why though? most people who get sitters care a lot about their dogs and just want to make sure they get the attention they need and usually only get them for a couple hours a week to make sure busy work/ errand days are covered without having to worry about the dogs. People get worn out sometimes, I don’t think it’s that big a deal to have someone walk and feed your dog a few times when most people drop their kids off at a daycare for 6 hours a day
10:25 that's a terrible take. the fact that they even pay for (typically expensive) dogwalks is indicative that they care about their dog. people paying for dogwalks typically have other responsibilities (work/school) at the time that they would walk the dog. it's like saying don't have a child if you can't teach them things yourself and taking them to school means you shouldn't have a child, lmao but yes, walking a dog is essential to their wellbeing.
That's a terrible take if you wanna argue against his take. The difference between sending the child to school and paying someone to walk your dog are completely different. You probably won't be able to teach your kid as good as the school, and they might not get as much social interactions; and is still completely different from his point because you're sending your child to school not because of your lack of time, but because It is probably the best option for your child's sake. His point is why buy a dog if you have no time to interact and do things, such as walk it. If you wanna use a child for an example, you could certainly argue that people that are not financially stable that won't be able to interact with their kids due to having to over work to provide for them, probably shouldn't have kids, for the sake of the child and parent. I definitely don't think that just because you hire someone to walk your dog it automatically means you aren't spending a lot of time with it, but I can definitely understand to some degree his opinion on the matter.
@@jehzt6768 as I said, paying for someone to take care of your dog is indicative of them actually giving a damn about the dog. we don't know if the dogs were strays, pure-bred puppy milled or rescued from euthanization. he makes an absolute, stupid virtous blanket statement that lacks any real world insight. but his heart does come from the right place. he gave no room for interpretation or circumstances for dogwalking, but flatout said you shouldn't have a dog if you can't walk it yourself or "you're a selfish asshat" when the owners could very well be caring for it once they're home. or hell, my mistake- when I said "child" i meant 2-3 year olds (similar dog intelligence) so therefore "school" becomes "daycare". parents can teach more or less everything in daycare, but not socalization- daycare can provide socalization for kids; dogwalks (group dogwalks as shown in the video) can provide socalization for dogs.
@@adambalogh8728 Have you heard of work? I mean, sure your perspective is about a from a XQC Pepega perspective about someone who sits home waiting for the stream to begin. ''Why not take 30 mins from your dead ass screen-watching?''. Well some people work long distance thus leave their dog for 4-5 hours in a daycare rather than leave it home alone for that period. Because they care about the dog having a good time and care for.
@@lazuli2904 It is a totally true opinion, if you need someone to walk your dog every day and not because you went on a vacation or you can't walk long distances because of medical conditions then you are 100% not fit to own a dog. Walking your dog is literally the smallest thing they require (if they require it)
I don't think it's really selfish is you got a dog and then your life changes and you become really busy. Plus it's good that people get dogs from shelters. They need homes and when shelters become overpopulated they euthanize dogs that don't get adopted. So really it's not selfish unless the person doesn't care for the animal at all.

10:15 "having a dog and not taking care of it, it's selfish, don't take a dog, if you can't walk them even"
bruh, people be making babies and also not care for them, your point being? also service dogs are a thing...that was a shit take, it would mean that 95% of the people are not capable of owning a dog, because they work on the weekdays, unlike you who sits on a pc, eating chips and getting paid for...i wonder if you would even walk your dog if you had one...some people want a pet, because they are lonely and just want a companion, because they might work alone and come to an empty house. I agree that, if you literally can't take your dog before and after work and if you don't even pay attention to them, you shouldn't get one, but if you do (I knew some people who did this) then what's the problem with owning one? just because you can't walk them when you're at work? that's a stupid reasoning...

True and not true.

@@augustoflores3159 It's better the dog has a home and has to be walked by a dog walker. Putting a dog up for adoption, where it may never be adopted, is selfish. Just because a dog is being walked during 9-5, doesn't mean it's owner doesn't care for it or give it attention when they are home.

the fact that they even pay for (typically expensive) dogwalks is indicative that they care about their dog. people paying for dogwalks typically have other responsibilities (work/school) at the time that they would walk the dog.
it's like saying don't have a child if you can't teach them things yourself and taking them to school means you shouldn't have a child, lmao
but yes, walking a dog is essential to their wellbeing.
@@jehzt6768
as I said, paying for someone to take care of your dog is indicative of them actually giving a damn about the dog.
we don't know if the dogs were strays, pure-bred puppy milled or rescued from euthanization. he makes an absolute, stupid virtous blanket statement that lacks any real world insight. but his heart does come from the right place.
he gave no room for interpretation or circumstances for dogwalking, but flatout said you shouldn't have a dog if you can't walk it yourself or "you're a selfish asshat" when the owners could very well be caring for it once they're home. or hell,
my mistake- when I said "child" i meant 2-3 year olds (similar dog intelligence) so therefore "school" becomes "daycare". parents can teach more or less everything in daycare, but not socalization- daycare can provide socalization for kids; dogwalks (group dogwalks as shown in the video) can provide socalization for dogs.
