- I took a tour of the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC. This place is amazing. So much stuff to do. They have 2 different whitewater rivers. Zip Lines. You can go group whitewater rafting. Kayak instruction. Climbing Walls. Hiking and mountain biking. They have a restaurant. You can easily spend all day having fun here. If you just want to come and watch, parking is $6 and you can enter the facility for free.

That is a really cool place. I have been fishing on Lake Wylie where the kayak launch is on the lake/river out there. Whitewater rafting kind of reminds me of a ride that used to be at Carowinds. That conveyor belt launch was pretty cool.
I've always wanted to go there. I'm not too far, only a couple hours outside Charlotte. I need to put this place back on my list. Thanks for sharing! 👍

I like this place but the rapids just aren't big enough.
That looks like a great place to learn how to handle rapids before going out and getting yourself drowned trying it on a real river.
Since everyone carries a camera these days it would be wise to go here and train before doing an actual drowning on a real river. Your actual drowning will certainly be captured by Karen's who will not help you but will film your drowning so they can post on their Facebook. You want to go out looking good.

I've been wanting to get down there to check that place out...looks like it's got all the bells and whistles! Where's the video of you taking the XP10 down the chute?
I'm hoping that video will be coming in the near future. Gotta make sure I can roll the yak in moving water first and I had my first lesson yesterday. Probably take a couple days of intense training in order to be even better than the River King.

From a garden hose over at the side of the zip line. The lake in the middle is full and then they turn on the pumps.

Mountain climbing , canoeing, biking, hiking, jogging, caving, bundy jumping, sky diving, hunting, sailing, fishing in derp waters, swimming in large lakes and doing the things you all are doing in this video....I don't know if I should commend you guys or what. You all are a very different race of people. I am left scratching my head because dangerous activities are not fun in my opinion. 😁
