Unlike most Edgar Wright fans and the public who openly celebrate SHAUN OF THE DEAD, I think HOT FUZZ is his best film. More interesting, uptempo, violent, action-packed, outrageous, and funnier.
Absolute classic. I have to kind of agree over the action though, it does take over a bit at the end. Still pretty hilarious during those parts though.
The film is funny, realistic, occasionally creepy & the cast delivers one of their best roles in the careers in this strong cult classic like its predecessor. (94%) (4.5/5 stars) (positive)
Finally saw this film... really funny and entertaining. My only issues were 1) exactly what Mark says, the action scenes are dumb and go on forever.. and 2) a few too many repeated lines in 'clever' ways
I like the over the top ending.. seems to me it's a send up of machismo+cocaine charged 80s action movies. Love the film though. One of my favourite comedies, if not my favourites
Hot Fuzz is a masterpiece. Edgar Wright can't make a bad film. It's not possible.
funny thing is mark actually recoils the downside in the at world's end review.
I'd say Baby Driver is a BAD film, I hated it. But I LOVED the Cornetto Trilogy.

Defo the action was meant to be over the top and that the action went on a bit. Think that was the point. Great film. Very very funny and clever
